Smaller hotel..Perfect for couples. Very good food in a la carte restaurants.

The food and service was terrible. If you are looking for a good all inclusive, do not stay here. They act bothered to serve you and were out of any good food. What they had there to eat was NOT GOOD!

We had a great time in Sandos. The staff is very curious and helpful. Food was great; lots of delicious items on the menu! Room and facility is very clean and immaculate. They had a lot entertainment and music for the Christmas. The best part was that we could enjoy a beautiful beach right in the backyard! Overall, we had an excellent, memorable experience at Sandos!

Ended up here by default since we originally booked Ocean Riviera Paradise but they were not ready for guests. Had a suite booked at ORP and Orbitz put us in a deluxe room here which was outdated and too small compared to the brand new suite we booked originally. We paid an additional $890 USD to upgrade to a suite (which we feel we should have been placed in one anyways upon relocation). For theee people on a 6 night trip the extra space is a must. I would never outright book a regular size hotel room for vacation. Thank goodness Orbitz has an "accommodation relocation" department and they helped us, but we would never have booked this resort just because of the ratings, Not enough restaurants, no coffee shop, and the list goes on. Again, we originally booked a brand new resort with an 1100 sf Privilege Junior Suite which came with several Privilege amenities and just wish Sandos Cancun had such amenities. The service and staff at Sandos Cancun are wonderful although we did not get turn-down service twice. Breakfast buffet from American standards is sub par.

Iver all a very nice experience, the staff is very helpfull and friendly one of the best I seen. They could do a little better in entertaiment, more latin music will be great.

This is my fourth stay at Sandos in Cancun and for good reason. When we arrive, it is like coming home. why do WE select Sandos? It is a smaller hotel. It is spotlessly clean and the staff is very friendly and inviting. Through Orbitz, we had a free upgrade to a balcony room. I booked VERY last minute and was surprised to get a great price on the package. Our room # was 726 this visit. The views from the balcony are to die for! There is some construction going on at the moment but it is NOT disruptive. The construction workers are amazing. They carry very heavy 5 gallon buckets full of heavy tile resting on the back of their necks,up the steep driveway, across the property, and to their site which is left of poolside. They do this all day, very quietly and efficiently. They are upgrading the outer bar/eating area. It is the area where brick oven pizza was served as well as burgers and sandwiches. It is due to reopen in Dec. 2016. Should be beautiful! Yes, the rooms may have some wear and furnishings are not, high end. How much time do you spend in your room with paradise just outside your door? When I vacation we like to sit back, relax, get to know the people who live and work there. I have taken some excursions over the years and would recommend. We met many who were there for short 5 day stays and conversely, a couple from Norway who was their for 2 weeks! Hotel was very nice with great food. They are strict with the 3pm checkin so don't expect to arrive early and be able to get your room. The pools were very nice and the beach/ocean in front of the hotel was very nice. The staff was very friendly.

Very loud music at pool all day and at night until 11pm. If BOOM BOOM BOOM is ok to hear all the time then this may be for you. Not quiet like the past. check my TA review. I have vids of the examples. Staff is A+. Sleep F. Food C. Cleanliness A.

So neat to go to pools and ocean. It was only a close walk away. Staff were great. Loved the food, always attentive waiters and servers. The Japanese place was great as was Ludwig I think was his name both guys did a great show as they di the food. The people tried their best to keep me happy. Marlene Glad

The service was great and the food was excellent. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Every meal was excellently prepared and the drinks were on par! 3 pools and food by the bar outside. Because it's April waves were rough but the temp was nice!

I went to Mexico to celebrate my birthday, without me telling the hotel that It was my birthday they came to my room and brought me a bottle of champagne and desert it was the biggest surprise! They had great service and workers were very accommodating

This place was fabulous. The entire staff went out of their way to make sure that we were enjoying ourselves. Food was great. The room was lovely with an incredible view. From the moment we arrived, from Eric at the door to the staff poolside, Veronica, Liz, Adan, Casanova, Freddy. Incredible. I would highly recommend this resort and I will be returning.

Nice place but it could use updating especially the lobby area. Add some pool area servers could cut down on wait time for drinks too. But it was a nice trip and the price was right.

We have nver been treated so poorly by front desk staff and inside food servers...EVER! Save money and time and book elsewhere.

Everything about this place was enjoyable. Rafeal Esteban and all the staff was great.

The hotel and resort were nice. Entertainment staff really made a very positive impact on our stay- very nice and har working people. Food was ok. Getting to and from airport was easy. We have stayed at other resorts much nicer with same star rating in Cancun.

We've been going to Sandos Cancun for the past 3 years in a row. I've been to several other all-inclusive resorts but nothing beats Sandos. From the top notch customer service to the gourmet dining. We can't wait to go back next year.

The Sandos is a nice hotel. Food was very good. Staff was nice. Location was central. Pool was nice and not crazy loud. We always found a Patio Chair. Small and intimate hotel, but with a few restaurant options. ONLY downside is the pool area does not get full sun all day, due to the large hotel next door, but with most Americans getting FRIED and BURNED on the beaches of Mexico, one could turn this into a positive. We enjoyed our trip here and I believe this to be a 5-star hotel or 4.5 stars. I have lived in Mexico (central mexico) and traveled extensively. This is a nice hotel. It is NOT a Ritz Carlton, but you get the same quality of food at about 1/3rd of the cost. Good value for the money and not a 3 star or a 4-star resort.

beautiful,clean and beach in the backyard

We had a great time in Sandos. The staff is very curious and helpful. Food was great; lots of delicious items on the menu! Room and facility is very clean and immaculate. christmas vacation

Hotel was very nice with great food. They are strict with the 3pm checkin so don't expect to arrive early and be able to get your room. The pools were very nice and the beach/ocean in front of the hotel was very nice. The staff was very friendly.
