Overall was very very relaxing and pleasant...I really have no complaints...everyone was so kind and nice ecspecially Jose Lun pool side and Iseral Corpu at the buffett!!!! Great guys!!!!

The staff was very helpful and friendly everywhere we went. Fun place to be.

The hotel staff was very friendly. The rooms are very clean. The only downfalls are that the swim up bar closes at 5pm and the pool area is completely dark in the morning. We are early risers who like to enjoy our morning coffee on the beach and watch the sunrise so this was a little frustrating since you have to walk through the pool area to get there.

My first day started off at around 330pm in Royal Solaris, Cancun, with a warm welcome from the Solaris staff members. They took care of everything including getting my luggage from the car to the room. Everything was so organised that there was no confusion in the itinerary. We were new to the place and to the hotel. We were so hungry when we reached the hotel after 3/4th day of travel from New Jersey, USA to Cancun, someone there suggested that we have our lunch and then proceed to the room(that was a very good suggestion for us as the lunch buffet was closing around 4). They have a real talent in the entertaining group. We witnessed a lovely dance performances, miming, dance skits etc during our 3 day stay in this hotel. The most energetic group of performers were really commendable. One thing we missed are that we could not involve ourselfs in the activities of the day as the handout given to us regarding the timing of the activity was little different than the timing of the actual activity. The front desk people are handing out an old itinerary of activities which was different from the actual activity timing. I would recommend that the front desk people need to communicate to the people to look at the boards around(there are specific places were the entertaining groups put up the timetable for two days) for updations.

The rooms are antiquated, bathroom had a weird set up. The food at the buffet was not good, other than the dessert. One of the restaurants, Marco Polo, was good, unfortunately it only serves dinner. Pools and beach were good, no complaints there. And finally, beware of the pushy hotel workers selling the "club membership ". They lie.

Staff was great in all areas from dining, drinks and cleaning. Food was much better than other resorts we have stayed at in Mexico. Highly recommend.

I loved that they had activities to do at the pool all day! The pool bar staff was amazing, and I loved each and every person in the entertainment staff. The shows at the end of each night were beautiful! But having to pay for wifi was a little disappointing.

The downside of this resort would be the distance between all things. It is built on a hillside, so there is many stairs and different levels.The late entertainment could use some improvement. Many people were looking for something to do after the shows each night. Other than that, the resort offers many choices of restaurants and eateries. The pools are gorgeous and well maintained.

Pro: Excellent drinks, Most of the staff were really nice and welcoming, pools were clean and fun, beach two thumbs up. Cons: Beware of roaches. Food was absolutely horrible, either the meat was undercooked or overcooked. Some of the native visitors and staff were rude. The lady in the gift shop over charged us and pocketed the money right in our face.

We had a wonderful time at this hotel. The staff was great and Margarita kept our room spotless and made animals with towels for our bathroom and bed. Karina was a sweetheart. The food was delicious and the best entertainment ever. Thank you for making our vacation so special.

The Hotel was excellent! The Staff was really kind and helpful. The check in was easy and fast. The room was a Good and extremelly clean! The Food was really good and the pool area Was Great!!!

over all a good experiense, food ok,service exellent special thanks to our maid Sarai,to Carlos and Diego ramirez and the rest of the staff at las fuentes restaurant, the quality of the food need to be improve.

Royal Solaris was a great destination for my wife and twins. The staff was outstanding couple of shout outs to Carlos and David that were always extremely helpful while we always needed 2 high chairs making sure to come back every few minutes to see if we needed anything. Vacationing with 2 18 month olds can be taxing, and its nice to see staff go above and beyond to help.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. My room was clean and my needs were always met. The food was good.

Everything was very nice and perfect until the second day. When I started with severe, severe diarrhea, nausea and fever. I lost 2 days of my vacation feeling sick. I'm sure my infection was in the hotel because I never left the facility, and never drunk tap water or the sea or pool water. Other people I met also reported having similar symptoms. Staff was very nice, entertaining, and friendly. If I would not became ill, I would rate this hotel higher.

We enjoyed our stay very much. The staff was awesome! Very friendly and helpful.

The staff was very friendly in special cristy from Romania helped us a lot .but the food was very bad quality,we tried all the buffets and snack and still was hungry.pizza is small with little ingredients buffets provide food but nothing that you can choose to eat normal because taste very bad.was dirt everywhere in the room and the smell awful

We were actually moved to the GR Solaris down the strip, upon arrival & given a fantastic room upgrade! Top floor, panoramic views! We still had access to the other Solaris hotels in the area & did walk down the beach to check them out. Everyone at each resort seemed to be enjoying themselves. They are all fairly comparable although the Caribe had a much smaller pool area & lobby. GR was a standard Mexico all inclusive resort. We've traveled to Mexico over 15 times & stayed at many hotels. The food was fine, drinks were good, staff was super friendly & attentive. You get what you pay for. If you want the Zsa Zsa but pay their Holiday Inn prices, you'll be disappointed. There were lots of families, plenty of chairs poolside as well as on the beach. We weren't approached one time for time share membership & even so we would've declined. It's close to the airport. We stayed at the hotel other than one excursion to dive with the whale sharks. Tip your bartenders, housekeeping staff & buy something from the vendors on the beach. They're good as gold & are hardworking folks trying to make a living.

I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel! The pools are great. The room was very spacious and comfortable. The staff is awesome!! Everyone is super helpful and friendly especially the front desk. The food was really good. They have a variety of choices and the snack bars are great. I would have to say the only thing I did not really like was location. It's a little too far from "downtown" Cancun for me but the bus ran 24/7 so it's okay. Definitely recommend this hotel ! :)

wonderful vacation

The hotel staff was very friendly. The rooms are very clean. The only downfalls are that the swim up bar closes at 5pm and the pool area is completely dark in the morning. We are early risers who like to enjoy our morning coffee on the beach and watch the sunrise so this was a little frustrating since you have to walk through the pool area to get there.

a serene beach front hotel

friendly staff and beautiful location

Staff was great in all areas from dining, drinks and cleaning. Food was much better than other resorts we have stayed at in Mexico. Highly recommend.

nice hotel, wonderful staff... but no free wifi
