I would have still paid the same price for just the hotel itself and without the all inclusive. So it was worth it to me- as most of the food was literally uneatable lol (not a picky eater here) drinks were terrible. But for the price it was great! The all inclusive option should probably be optional at this resort. I probably wouldn’t stay here if you’re looking to party and drink. But it was great for the fam who doesn’t really drink. Surprisingly the is resort has its own photographer who did a whole family photo session with us and gave us all the pictures 1 hour later for $150- unreal. Very happy with that- pictures turned out unique and professional. The premium oceanfront suite was AMAZING for our family. It had a king 1 bedroom, and a huge main area. Super quiet and had a huge ocean front balcony. Very beautiful and private feeling. Felt like an ocean front condo honestly. I don’t know why there isn’t more pictures to promote this? The mall directly behind hotel is empty and only a few local vendors left as covid wiped everyone out. But just a short 2 min Uber drive was the MALL OF ISLA which is beautiful and has a thriving community of corporate and local vendors the dolphin experience which was cool and worth it for the kids. I also highly recommend all the aqua world activities. They are professional and fair priced.

I stayed in this Hotel in 2017 and everything was great so I decided to stay again; and the change was massive with the cleanliness. Our room was filthy the floors had dirt spot everywhere, the bathroom was dirty; the toilet bowl had a stain that look like it hasn't been sprayed with bleach and soap for months. The shower had scum looked terrible I definitely showered with slippers on. As far as the staff; they were amazing and very helpful to the point where they will go beyond to assist and make sure you are comfortable. If I had to advise the hotel needs to increase their staff and definitely get a good thoroughly cleaning crew!!!! After COVID it is essential for your customer to feel that they are in a disinfected clean environment. I will also recommend for them to increase their entertainment; I couldn't believe the limitation and boringness that the hotel had on a weekend.

Occidental all staff are so friendly and nice. Specially for food. Loved it. Cafeteria Supervisor lady DELIA so nice and friendly. She take cares all visitor individuals take care as your foods service needs. Organise tables for group of people etc. Security guys (Otineal) good too, keep eye on everyone coming in and going out of hotel. That’s good and Safe for all of us visitor. Can wait for visit Cancun Occidental on my next vacation trip.
