Multiple pools but no hot tub :( Everything else was great.

Beautiful property with an amazing beach. Spent hours playing in the ocean with my granddaughter

The employees always given you a great smile and served you well

everything was fine

Everything was great.

The hotel is on one of the prettiest beaches of Cancun, is clean and has nice pools and a decent bar. What I disliked the most was the lack of authentic Mexican food. What they served was good but it was aiming more towards tourists. To try real México you have to step out of the hotel zone.

Food was just ok and not enough entertainment but service was great and staff was very pleasant and helpful, room was clean and had a beautiful view.

The property was Decent looking. The room was very old and dated. The ocean front view was great. The service from the support staff was amazing they cater to you. However, there is other staff that constantly push you to take a take share lunch or breakfast. No matter how many times you say you are not interested every single day they are trying to push or sell something. This was the only part that I did not like about being there. Super annoying and uncomfortable.

The drinks were so diluted and they used Tang for everything. The food was extraordinarily bad —worse than school cafeteria. It is not a pleasant culinary experience when at breakfast you can recognize your dinner from the previous night, and at dinner you can recognize your lunch. Some days they would clear half of the “buffet” with no explanation. At lunch and dinner they would remove the drinks station, forcing us to ask —and wait and wait— for drinks, even water. There was next to no salad bar. People were so desperate for fresh fruit —anything that did not come from the kitchen— that it would run out well before the dining period was up. And the gourmet restaurants were a joke. By the end of the week, some of us resorted to the Taco stand down the road. We had a family reunion of 32 people, and they could not even accommodate our request to put some of us near one another. We all ended on different floors, in different buildings. Those of us who had reserved a Premium suite were assured that we would be right on top of each other. It was not so. When there was a rainstorm, the water would get into the room through the windows. Heaps of towels were required to stanch the flooding in the middle of the night. Those were the most egregious elements of the stay at Occidental. By the time some of us got food poisoning, it was “whatever.”

Close to the beach

.

The place itself was great. Pools are amazing. Drinks were ok, food was descent

El personal muy amable y atentos desde nuestra llegada asta nuestra salida es lo que más me impresionó Regresare solo por la atención al cliente!!

Everything was awesome

The staff was very nice but I didn’t like the pushy people who want you to setup a breakfast meeting to try and sell you something! The food was actually pretty good. The bed and pillows need to be a little more comfortable

air circulation thru lobby liked most

We appreciate you taking the time to share your experience with us. We have also noted your comments on culinary experiences and sincerely regret to read that we fell short of your culinary expectations this time around. Although we would like to take the opportunity to point out that our chefs follow a menu rotation for two weeks including a wide range of specialties, both local and international, to satisfy all nutritional requirements and to please the most demanding palates. This is why we feel when we read that we were not able to conquer yours and we will communicate your criticism to our team. We also regret that it was not possible for them to be accommodated in the restaurants since due to the occupation and size of the restaurants it is not possible, we appreciate your understanding. We appreciate that you mention the incident of water leakage in the room which will be reviewed immediately. You can be sure that your comments will be taken into consideration and that they will help us to improve our services. Once again, thank you for your time and despite the problems that arose during your stay, we hope that Occidental Tucancún will continue to be an option for your next vacation and that we will have the opportunity to restore your faith in our company in the near future. Best regards,
