Upgraded our room from ocean view with balcony to a swim up thinking it will make our stay more memorable but it was the opposite! The room is nice and clean but the swim up pool is freezing cold. Not even tolerable with the sun out! Main pool is also cold! Thr jacuzzi is warm not hot! Ive voiced it out to many staff and it feels like the response i get is just to deal with or "we have a jacuzzi you can use"! Well i paid extra for the swim up pool not the jacuzzi! A guy from the front desk even told us that the pool has a thermostat that it stops heating the pool at a certain temp! What the heck, was it set up to stop at 0 degree coz thats what the swim up pool feels like! Everytime i voiced my concern about the temp of the pool all i get is a smile. There was also an incidence when we asked if they can open one of the beach umbrella and the response we got was "yes you can open it!" I was like excuse me? Then they came and help, they were even having a hard time opening it! I never felt the warm welcome and accomodation in this resort! I have been to Cancun before and stayed at Moon palace where i felt that staff will go beyond to accomidate your needs! They even hold your plate for you until you are seated in the buffet resto in moon palace (which btw i think is not necessary but they still do it to make you feel special!) With that said. I will not recommend this resort to anyone. There is so much more to choose from! I will not be coming back here for sure!
Great hotel!!! Friendly hotel stuff. Food is good. Rooms a little autdated but outside amani
This was the 2nd time we've stayed at the hotel. The staff at the hotel overall is wonderful, but the staff handling check-in/customer service were very poor. Having stayed at the hotel before, we knew (or thought) what we had to do beforehand. We made the reservation over three months ago and immediately contacted the hotel to request early check-in. Not only did they make no effort to honor this, our room was to be ready 3 hours late and were told "maybe by then" until we asked for a manager... not the way to treat returning guests!
Food was not good at all. Even the Mexican food was mediocre.
Friendly staff (loved the star friends - especially Roberto). Activities were great and we were never bored. Food was very good and the specialty restaurants were nice. Very clean hotel and pool. Highly recommend it!
Very clean and beautiful resort. Every single staff member was friendly and accommodating. From the front desk staff to the house keepers to the bartenders to the servers on the beach and by the pool. All were awesome. Good job, Iberostar.
The hotel is really nice , located on a beautiful beach. The staff is very helpful and friendly. Interesting people from all over. The pools and food were excellent . I want to return soon ! With the all inclusive package, you can visit their other locations such as Playa del Carmen to eat, drink, and enjoy the beach..... at no additional charge.
We enjoyed the hotel facilities. The hotel is not big, since it is not big, we could reach each facilities in less than 1 minute. The entertainment crew is excellent, especially Manuel, he is smart and extremely friendly! He made our trip fun and enjoyable. This hotel also provided us with many activities that other hotels might not have had, such as archery, rifle shooting, etc. The food is average, but nothing you can complain.
It was my 8th visits to cancun, mexico and this is the worst hotel, I have ever stayed. The hotel is just too old. Not clean at all. Too many bugs and dust all over my hotel room. I got a phone call from an expedia (orbitz) local agent and asked me if there is any issue during my stay. I told them about the issues and she told me not to cpmplain it to the hotel. She said she would do it for me but I got no response at all from either the hotel or the agent until the end of my stay.
Nice resort good location and a great pool and beach. The food at the buffet was very boring and it was the same everyday:( however the other restaurants were great. If the buffet could have changed it up day to day I would have given a 5 star rating.
Excellent services. Beautiful beach. I can' t wait to come back!!
Some staffs are unkind and they charge bottle of wine
the staff was very friendly and helpful! the pool area is amazing and the beach front is spectacular. I have stayed in other all-inclusive hotels in Cancun and this one is definitely on my top list now. The food is above buffet average, the fitness center is really nice, staff was very graceful, pools all over the place, overall experience was great! I just went for a relaxation type trip and the hotel didn't disappoint, would definitely come back!
The hotel was amazing!! The private beach was great the infinity pool had an amazing view of the the ocean. Overall fantastic
nice place to stay had a very good time we would back again
We stayed in this hotel when it was a Hilton Hotel and found that Iberostar had not renovated the rooms. The rooms need to be renovated. The sink and tub drain stoppers did not work. Our room safe did not work and had to be replaced by maintenance dept. causing us to have to stay in our room until the work was done. The food was not that good. We have stayed at RIU Hotels where the food is better. The only saving grace is that the pool area and beach are nice. Did not like Iberostar placing beds next to the pool. One can get more pool chairs next to the pool allowing more people to have a better view of pool and being able to watch their valuables better. The lobby and restaurants are clean. Hotel staff and workers were helpful and friendly. This is our 11th trip to Cancun, and we have stayed at different resorts. Will not return to this Iberostar.
The golf course is directly on the resort grounds, is in wonderful shape, with interesting holes. The staff, food and room are all top notch. Never had a reason to leave the resort!
We had a great vacation the hotel was ok. They lost our reservation which they said happens often so that's not good. Food was ok with the steak house Restaurant being the best food there.(Reserve specialty restaurants before arriving) We could only get 9pm reservations our entire 6 days there.Overall not bad for the price. The beach is beautiful & there is a lot to do in the area!
Great location, staff and food. Restaurants were very good. Did not have opportunity to try Mexican Restaurant. Japanese Hibachi Restaurant was best. Shower area was small, rest of room was great and great caribbean view. All staff very attentive and friendly. Would return.
We traded the first week in August. We have been to cancun several times before this is the nicest resort we have stayed in. Pluses include food (very good and nice variety), views from ocean front room (excellent ask for pool side other side is horrible looks over a green roof), pool area (spacious, no trouble finding chairs, multiple pools and spectacular infinity pool), location (easy to get to our excursions), wait staff (very pleasant especially carlos in main buffet he is excellent!!) , swim up bar (nice, in the shade and good bartenders you don't have to wait long even when busy), nightly shows (it was nice to have entertainment - most shows were just ok) , rooms (average size but clean, beds comfortable, nice big area with sinks and mirror to get ready but very small toilet and shower area). Now for what needs improvement - reservations to restaurants (hard to get only had 2 available for our entire stay), seaweed (ridiculous amount spoils the view of water edge)
