The customer service is excellent, great food for an all inclusive resort.

Everything was lovely. We were upgraded upon arrival to a gorgeous room in the tower, all the amenities were perfect. Most of all the staff were incredible - helpful, friendly, and gracious. Beautiful beach with great waves for boogie-boarding!

There were certain members of staff that went above and beyond but not many. In fact we had asked our "butler" Jaime to make reservations for dinner at one of their higher quality restaurants and he did not follow through. Our concierge Eric was great, but left after a couple of days to go on vacation and we never heard from anyone again. The food in the buffet, which is the main source of dining on all inclusive is mediocre at best. The grounds were pretty and the staff kept everything nice and clean. The pools close at 8 p.m.

We went for our honeymoon/anniversary and it was a great experience. Close to the beach and had a great view from the room! Clean rooms and great staff. Great events going on during the day and evening that are fun to attend.

It seems the main focus of this hotel is to sell you their Vacation Club, and if you don't buy all of a sudden they forget what they promised. You can always just say no, and avoid the 2 hour sales pitch but that is hard to do with all of the promises. The other thing to watch out for is the check in upgrade scam. You may think you booked an upgraded ocean front room, but when you check in you find out your expectations and what they give you are two different things; but don't worry, for a mere $250 we can put you in the room you originally expected! We had to argue for two days to finally get the credit towards the excursions we were promised during our "sales presentation" so we basically wasted two days of our vacation. In addition: 1) the upgraded wifi did not work, 2) the electric shades broke so the ocean view was obstructed 3) the food in the private restaurants was not very good. Nice atmosphere, but mediocre food at best. 4) left messages for our "private butler", but he did not respond (he was a good guy, maybe he did not get the messages) 5) Front desk help was rude. This may have been bad luck all around, but we will never go to Cancun again, nor will we use Expedia. I don't blame Expedia for all the problems with the hotel, but on the other hand if they promote the hotel they should be aware of their shortcomings.

This is not a mega all-inlclusive. Slower pace. Nice facilities. Restaurants easy to get into. We will return.

FROM THE START TO THE END WE HAD A WONDERFUL VACATION. THE STAFF WAS AMAZING! COURTEOUS, KIND AND ACCOMMODATING. THE ROYAL TOWER ROOMS ARE WONDERFUL - RIGHT ON THE BEACH, SPACIOUS, COMFORTABLE AND CLEAN. THE RAINFALL SHOWER HEADS ARE AWESOME! THE BEDS ARE A LITTLE FIRM FOR MY LIKING BUT ARE GOOD QUALITY. THE OCEAN WATER IS SO BLUE AND CRYSTAL CLEAR IT WAS INCREDIBLE! SOFT, WHITE SAND, CABANAS ON THE BEACH, PARASAILING, DAYTIME ACTIVITIES AT THE POOL AND FUN NIGHTTIME ENTERTAINMENT! THE FOOD WAS NOT GREAT BUT WAS PLENTIFUL AND THE DRINKS WERE REFRESHING! (JUST ASK FOR A DOUBLE/EXTRA SHOT IF YOU WANT!) THIS IS WHAT I WOULD CALL PARADISE!

Stuff and food where ok, but was disappointed overall. Place is ok for the money, next time wouldn't stay in all inclusive. Its worth paying more and not seeing bunch of drunk and loud people around you.

Awesome location and resort. Incredible view from our room. Stayed in the Towers. Best food that we've had at an all-inclusive resort. Resort was very clean and staff always friendly and welcoming. Didn't feel overcrowded at all--we even were there over spring break. We could always find a lounger by the pool or beach. Plenty of room on beach and by pool. Fun variety of pool activities to participate in if you wanted to. Would highly recommend this resort for families or couples!

This is the second time my husband and I have stayed at this resort. The first time was sort of magical since we didn't have any kids at the time. We had a room on the ground level which was great to sneak out to the pool or beach without walking through the lobby of the resort. This time we had a room on the second floor. not as great a view since we were at palm tree level. Although that view is way better than snow. Both times we chose an all inclusive package. Both times we were in love with the buffet that the hotel serves its main meals in. There is always a beautiful selection of fresh fruit, and a wide variety of freshly baked desserts. They have themes for their meals each day which makes it interesting and we never got tired of the food they served. The service is amazing. The servers really take care of you and have hospitality as a priority. Please tip the servers and cleaning staff!!! They deserve it and often don't make much. We didn't tip much our first time at the resort and later learned that the staff really rely on tips and don't make as much on their base salary alone. We tipped much more this time and the staff were much more appreciative! The drinks are amazing! Best Pina Colada and Margaritas!! I wish we were still there!!!

The private beach is long and not crowed. The view is pretty nice. The pools and bars are amazing. However, most of the food is terrible. Only the buffet restaurant is good because the taste is normal. The Oriental Restaurant is horrible, the taste is so weird, which is absolutely not the Japanese and Chinese style as the menu marked (the grill salmon is the most tasty dish in this restaurant however the fish scale was still on it). Moreover, I really like Mexican food and I had a lunch in a Mexican restaurant out of the hotel, it was really amazing. Therefore, I made a reservation of the hotel's Mexican restaurant. But it made me disappointed. There were some small ants and unnameable insects around the washroom and bathroom (probably due to my room is on the ground level?) I request a 2 double bed room when I booked this hotel last year. However, when I checked in the room, it is a king size bed room. The stuff explained that Request not equals to Garanteed. I agree but this issue really made me and my friend embarrassed.

I loved the way hotel staff took care of us..I loved visiting one on one with entertainment personnel, Edwin . He stressed how much family means and this hotel was about family!! Thank you Edwin for such a great memory for an old lady!

The view is very nice, the pools and bars are amazing. However, the food is... Only the buffet restaurant is nice. The oriental restaurant is terrible. Some of the dishes is weird, which is absolutely not the taste of Chinese or Japanese food as the menu marked. Also, I really like mexican food and I had try a Mexican restaurant out of the hotel and it was definitely amazing! But the one in the hotel is not palatable. BTW, I requested 2 double bed when I made the booking, but they gave me a king size bed, which really made my male friend and me embarrassing. Also, there were ants and unnameable insects in washroom and bathroom.

We had an amazing time! My only real complaint was that it was not very kid friendly. We were only able to have dinner in the buffet because our kids were not allowed in the specialty restaurants. We were able to order from the Asian restaurant and have the food delivered to the buffet, which was nice. The other thing was that kids under 4 weren't allowed in the kids club unless a parent was there to accompany them. So basically if you stay here with children under 4 you get no breaks! Staff was amazing and helpful! I heard that other resorts are more kid friendly, so I hope that they reconsider their policies.

Excellent experience again. We upgraded our room when we got there so we had our own terrace with plunge pool, it was great. Jaime was our butler, and he did whatever he could to make our vacation perfect. He arranged a surf and turf dinner at El Mirador that was fantastic. The chef even brought it out to our table and came back after we finished to make sure it was to our satisfaction. All staff was very friendly. Our maid did an excellent job every day, cleaning all indoor and outdoor areas. New entertainment this year that included a Michael Jackson Tribute Show that was performed by the entertainment staff--it was great--they are very talented! Overall food was very good--nice selection. Friendly wait staff and bartenders--especially the bartender at the rooftop bar. Great vacation.

Overall we had a great experience. The best decision we made was to upgrade to a master villa suite on our arrival. The cost is much cheaper to do so upon arrival than when booking. We had our own room, living room, large patio and pool overlooking the ocean. Comes with a number of other amenities. The food was good overall, although the Oriental restaurant can be skipped, that was underwhelming. The is a wide array of guests here, as there are a large amount of options for accommodations at the resort, but the villa was perfect to have our own privacy, whether on the patio or our own cabana.

The best part of this hotel is its location with gorgeous views of the Caribbean sea and its turquoise waters. The checkin was great and our family got a free upgrade to the royal tower room for booking through Orbitz and glad the room had an impression on the whole family. The staff are helpful, the only quibble I have is scheduling for dinners is not quite fun especially knowing whether your kids are allowed or not into El Mirador and El Oriental restaurants. I thought that my six year old is not allowed but owing to her height she is allowed only at 6:30 pm seating. I wish I had known this at the start. Apart from this, the stay had been nothing short of spectacular. Hanging out in the beach, soaking in the glorious sun and retiring to your well kept hotel room after some great dinners made it really memorable. Would recommend it to anyone!

We stayed for 4 nights on our honeymoon. Fabulous place to stay. The service is phenomenal. The ocean front view was amazing. Overall we had a great time and plan on returning next year. One tip... for the men please bring a pair of slacks with you to be able to enjoy the restaurants (other than the buffet) that are there.

This was the best of 3 vacations to Mexico. Our room was upgraded to a villa which are amazing, and we even received complimentary champagne to celebrate our anniversary.

great place to stay
