I really enjoyed my stay at Grand Royal Park Cancun Caribe from May 29 to June 3, 2017. I took my daughter here for her college graduation. I actually stayed at this hotel when it was the Hyatt Cancun Caribe. Over the years, the hotel hasn't made many changes and could use some renovations to keep up with the other all inclusive resorts in the area. Hotel is in a very good location, directly on the beach, excellent view of the Ocean, room had balcony, two nice pools, premium swim-up bar and other bars, food very good, lots of seating on the beach and pool area. Filippe from Expedia / Orbitz took good care of us. He upgraded us to the Royal Towers section. You had to walk a little further to get to the hotel/restaurants but it was a very nice section. Some seaweed washed up on the beach but there was a tractor that removed it every morning. The hotel is not far from the airport and was at the end of the hotel zone. It was a quiet section, some families as well as couples. Need more people to book the excursions. Spend a lot of time making reservations for the restaurants and they weren't even full. Food was very good except for the Italian dinner. All-in-all a wonderful experience. The hotel staff were very nice. Room was clean and comfortable.

Great hotel, really like the service of almost everybody at the hotel except the people who try to sell you timeshares, those guys are just a nightmare. Great view from the rooms, the bathroom was big and I really like the fact the you could go to sleep with the balcony open and listen to the waves.

The beach was nice, ok food, ppl were nice. Just one issue with a hot room. We upgraded nice room after that. Views all awesome, make sure you go early to reserve for restaurants and men's need to wear pants.

We stayed in the hotel main towers with ocean view room. The view was fantastic we were on the fourth floor , but all rooms higher than the first floor would have nice views. The hotel has two pools and white sandy beach front. During the stay the beach had constant waves and base on the location it might be this way all year round matter of preferences. The hotel has 3 restaurants and a buffet area , the food was generally good. If I would complain about some thing would be the beds are very hard and the bathroom in the tower need more light and some remodeling, it seem the villas have been remodel.

The only glitch was air conditioning, it worked but not as good as it should have. It could have been easier to adjust the temp and fan setting, but there was a glitch with the thermostat or fan motor.

I loved how you are made to feel special people opening doors for you; rushing to help pick up your luggage; taking trash to throw away etc. it is nice to stay in an all inclusive to be able to eat,go into the ice cream parlor and not have to pay. The fine dinning was excellent services and decor. Special attention and tasty foods. I was most impressed with the cleanliness. I like clean and Grand Park exceeded my expectations. Clean, clean, clean ! The Activity Committee was fantastic! They obviously work hard to bring shows like Karoke, Michael Jackson and comedy show. I enjoyed my vacation there.

Great location. The staff is very friendly. We really enjoy the all inclusive resort.

Very nice resort on prime location, second tower is much better rooms and view. Very outdated spa. Only disappointed was the food. It seems like they are on very low budget . So food selection was very low. Front desk service was great.

Staff was welcoming from the minute we walked in the door. Always spoke and made sure we were ok and accommodated. We got the deluxe oceanview but they upgraded us to a Royal Suite. They have safes to keep your important stuff locked up if necessary. Only thing we didn't like was the long presentation to get us to join their vacation club but other than that excellent place I'd recommend for anyone. Not really a lot of nightlife activities on the resort but downtown Cancun is right down the street where all the clubs are. Great stay I would return.

Everything was lovely. We were upgraded upon arrival to a gorgeous room in the tower, all the amenities were perfect. Most of all the staff were incredible - helpful, friendly, and gracious. Beautiful beach with great waves for boogie-boarding!

There were certain members of staff that went above and beyond but not many. In fact we had asked our "butler" Jaime to make reservations for dinner at one of their higher quality restaurants and he did not follow through. Our concierge Eric was great, but left after a couple of days to go on vacation and we never heard from anyone again. The food in the buffet, which is the main source of dining on all inclusive is mediocre at best. The grounds were pretty and the staff kept everything nice and clean. The pools close at 8 p.m.

We went for our honeymoon/anniversary and it was a great experience. Close to the beach and had a great view from the room! Clean rooms and great staff. Great events going on during the day and evening that are fun to attend.

It seems the main focus of this hotel is to sell you their Vacation Club, and if you don't buy all of a sudden they forget what they promised. You can always just say no, and avoid the 2 hour sales pitch but that is hard to do with all of the promises. The other thing to watch out for is the check in upgrade scam. You may think you booked an upgraded ocean front room, but when you check in you find out your expectations and what they give you are two different things; but don't worry, for a mere $250 we can put you in the room you originally expected! We had to argue for two days to finally get the credit towards the excursions we were promised during our "sales presentation" so we basically wasted two days of our vacation. In addition: 1) the upgraded wifi did not work, 2) the electric shades broke so the ocean view was obstructed 3) the food in the private restaurants was not very good. Nice atmosphere, but mediocre food at best. 4) left messages for our "private butler", but he did not respond (he was a good guy, maybe he did not get the messages) 5) Front desk help was rude. This may have been bad luck all around, but we will never go to Cancun again, nor will we use Expedia. I don't blame Expedia for all the problems with the hotel, but on the other hand if they promote the hotel they should be aware of their shortcomings.

This is not a mega all-inlclusive. Slower pace. Nice facilities. Restaurants easy to get into. We will return.

FROM THE START TO THE END WE HAD A WONDERFUL VACATION. THE STAFF WAS AMAZING! COURTEOUS, KIND AND ACCOMMODATING. THE ROYAL TOWER ROOMS ARE WONDERFUL - RIGHT ON THE BEACH, SPACIOUS, COMFORTABLE AND CLEAN. THE RAINFALL SHOWER HEADS ARE AWESOME! THE BEDS ARE A LITTLE FIRM FOR MY LIKING BUT ARE GOOD QUALITY. THE OCEAN WATER IS SO BLUE AND CRYSTAL CLEAR IT WAS INCREDIBLE! SOFT, WHITE SAND, CABANAS ON THE BEACH, PARASAILING, DAYTIME ACTIVITIES AT THE POOL AND FUN NIGHTTIME ENTERTAINMENT! THE FOOD WAS NOT GREAT BUT WAS PLENTIFUL AND THE DRINKS WERE REFRESHING! (JUST ASK FOR A DOUBLE/EXTRA SHOT IF YOU WANT!) THIS IS WHAT I WOULD CALL PARADISE!

Stuff and food where ok, but was disappointed overall. Place is ok for the money, next time wouldn't stay in all inclusive. Its worth paying more and not seeing bunch of drunk and loud people around you.

Awesome location and resort. Incredible view from our room. Stayed in the Towers. Best food that we've had at an all-inclusive resort. Resort was very clean and staff always friendly and welcoming. Didn't feel overcrowded at all--we even were there over spring break. We could always find a lounger by the pool or beach. Plenty of room on beach and by pool. Fun variety of pool activities to participate in if you wanted to. Would highly recommend this resort for families or couples!

This is the second time my husband and I have stayed at this resort. The first time was sort of magical since we didn't have any kids at the time. We had a room on the ground level which was great to sneak out to the pool or beach without walking through the lobby of the resort. This time we had a room on the second floor. not as great a view since we were at palm tree level. Although that view is way better than snow. Both times we chose an all inclusive package. Both times we were in love with the buffet that the hotel serves its main meals in. There is always a beautiful selection of fresh fruit, and a wide variety of freshly baked desserts. They have themes for their meals each day which makes it interesting and we never got tired of the food they served. The service is amazing. The servers really take care of you and have hospitality as a priority. Please tip the servers and cleaning staff!!! They deserve it and often don't make much. We didn't tip much our first time at the resort and later learned that the staff really rely on tips and don't make as much on their base salary alone. We tipped much more this time and the staff were much more appreciative! The drinks are amazing! Best Pina Colada and Margaritas!! I wish we were still there!!!

excellent location - oceanfront room
