There was to much pressure to become a member, my toilet and shower had issues. The shower drain plug didn't work it was not letting the water drain. Almost like waiting to fill up the tub to take a bath.... some guy came "fixed" it and when I wanted to take a bath , the drain plug didn't plug the water. He made it the complete opposite.. I should have demanded a different room. Then my toilet got clogged twice. And the bathroom downstairs from the lobby flooded and I stepped all over the water God only knows where it came from I wasn't walking in there to find out.. Also, Some of the bar tenders outside give you an attitude if you don't tip them every time you get a drink. Last time I checked gratuity was included in the trip. I spent $2,200 which is more or less $36,852 pesos, So if I tip you every other or every 3rd drink, why is that not appreciated??? Tipping is optional you shouldn't be talking about other people who didn't tip you to other guests at the bar. It's low class, and very unprofessional.

Really nice property. Huge white sand beach compared to most other resorts nearby. The other resorts seemed to have a huge number of rooms with a much smaller property to work with. When busy I would imagine a resort with fewer rooms wouldn't feel as crowded. I noticed every room has an ocean view. We upgraded to the best room in the resort for an extra $40 per night. They reduced the amount from $60 after we declined We got such a good deal that the upgrade was an easy choice ($600 per person for four nights all inclusive and this price included airfare from Chicago). We booked it the night before after our trip to Charleston had to be abandoned due to Hurricaine Irma's approach. The place is spotless. I saw them actually scrubbing the driveway! Food overall good with a few standout items. Very well run resort with managers always visible and employees going above and beyond with or without tips. I didn't expect much for the price paid but were so happy. I would go back in a heartbeat.

I was very disappointed in this hotel, which I have stayed in six times, two of which were in 2017. (I have been to Cancun about 16 times.) The lower pool was sparklingly clean, but the upper pool was very cloudy all week. The quality of the food was generally lower than during my previous stays. The drinks were often watered down and did not taste as they should. A glass of Amaretto (not di Sarano) tasted strongly of some chemical that I could not identify (I am a retired molecular biologist). The Miami Vice drink was still quite good. Guests now have to pay a $15 charge if they order room service more than once per day. The entertainment staff were good as usual, but they have turned up the volume on the music at the lower pool to the point that it is very bothersome. The staff was friendly and hardworking and the hotel was clean. There was an abundance of seaweed in the ocean nearly every day (not the hotel's fault, which turned the water a brownish color. This has been a widespread problem at times throughout the Caribbean in recent years. Unfortunately, I don't think we will visit this hotel again.

Overall the hotel seems to have gone low-budget. The staff are mostly friendly, however the food and drinks are not good. Our chicken tacos had bones in the chicken. Pulled pork also had bones. Drinks contained very little alcohol, tasted like water unless you specifically went to the bar and requested more. Need to request if you want top shelf liquor. Room was clean but very thin walls--had to change rooms due to a screaming baby next door. Can hear people walking on the floor above. The gym is not included in the "all-inclusive" rate, need to pay extra. Tons of kids in the pool. Do not choose this hotel if you prefer adults only. Currently the beach is filled with brown seaweed--not the hotel's fault but never seen the water so dirty.

Everything was perfect, the room was nice and very clean. Looking forward to go back soon.

The beds are super hard. Extra firm I guess you can say. The towels & face cloths are awful & rough to the skin touch. I got a massage done & that wasn't good either. The same rough towles in the room & the blue pool towles are the same towles they used in the massage rooms. I had to my face & body for 50 minutes on roughness. It was very uncomfortable. No heated tables if you are use to those when getting a massage. Other than these 3 things the hotel is great. Good food & drinks. Very polite & helpful staff. Kid friendly but also one pool side just for adults. The swim up bar is awesome. Other guest were nice as well. It says on thier site strict dress code in 3 of the 4 Dining areas but it's geared more towards men. I did asked at check out if thier Villas & other up graded rooms had different bed mattress & towles. I was told yes they are newer. But she couldnt confirm the softness. It's hard to believe the towles & face cloths are different in upgraded rooms when the massage polar used the same rough towles. If extra from is how you like to sleep & you bring your own towels I say this is a nice location to try. Do the all inclusive. Very neat & clean hotel. AC wasn't working properly. Had a minor issue with the shower however not even 3 minutes after I called someone was there for the repairs & fixed it.

I had a horrible experience here with the staff and the room was not cleaned and saw a huge rat during my stay.

Good Location, beautiful beach. Very nice facility. However hotel staff, we found, do not go above and beyond to help big groups at dinner or when trying to organize small gatherings. Butler was not worth the extra money. Hotel entertainment was non existent forcing you to leave hotel. More catered to families of 4. If more than 4, will have to sit at different tables during dinner because staff cannot accommodate. Food was good. I don't think I will be going back.

I had a beautiful time at this hote with everything!!!!!

I went with my wife for our 15 year anniversary last year. We stayed here and lived it. This year we brought the kids with us. Fantastic resort. We will be trying their resort in Cozumel next.

Overall I was very pleased with the hotel. ALL staff are GREAT, they really go out of their way to make your stay memorable and enjoyable. The entertainment and activities that are provided at the hotel throughout the day, were fun to watch and participate in. The food quality and variety are also very good, there is something for everyone and available ALL day, you will not go hungry! We had an air conditioned room with an EXCELLENT ocean view. Our room was cleaned up for us nicely each day and the refrigerator was always stocked with refreshments. I would DEFINITELY book another stay at this hotel again! :)

We had a villa suite with our own pool on the beach it was beautiful. Staff was excellent. Food was good.

We were very impressed with our room, we had a spacious, clean, comfortable room with an amazing balcony ocean view. The staff was super friendly and accommodating. The location of the resort was perfect, close to shopping and other restaurants.

Had a great time. Staff were really helpful and friendly. The waiter name Raymundo for dinner time was the best. He was very attentive and friendly. He made sure we were always good and we always had drinks. Very close to the night life and you can walk there. Very safe. We will diffently return.

From check in to check out, this hotel was a great choice for our vacation. The breakfast buffet was delicious with tons of choices, a huge pool with lots of activities and an adult pool for a more laid back scene, grounds that were kept up and clean, a great location on the strip, and staff that would always greet you with a hello. A few downsides... we could only get 9 PM dinner reservations for our stay at the restaurants (So we ordered room service snacks before dinner). I wish there were more umbrellas on the grounds pool-side and beach-side to offer shade. And, if you plan to put more than 2 people in a room... you will be very cozy sharing double beds! However, this hotel hit all our prerequisites.... great pool, amazing beach, entertainment, accommodating staff, and not too large where you can't find your friends!!

I really enjoyed my stay at Grand Royal Park Cancun Caribe from May 29 to June 3, 2017. I took my daughter here for her college graduation. I actually stayed at this hotel when it was the Hyatt Cancun Caribe. Over the years, the hotel hasn't made many changes and could use some renovations to keep up with the other all inclusive resorts in the area. Hotel is in a very good location, directly on the beach, excellent view of the Ocean, room had balcony, two nice pools, premium swim-up bar and other bars, food very good, lots of seating on the beach and pool area. Filippe from Expedia / Orbitz took good care of us. He upgraded us to the Royal Towers section. You had to walk a little further to get to the hotel/restaurants but it was a very nice section. Some seaweed washed up on the beach but there was a tractor that removed it every morning. The hotel is not far from the airport and was at the end of the hotel zone. It was a quiet section, some families as well as couples. Need more people to book the excursions. Spend a lot of time making reservations for the restaurants and they weren't even full. Food was very good except for the Italian dinner. All-in-all a wonderful experience. The hotel staff were very nice. Room was clean and comfortable.

Great hotel, really like the service of almost everybody at the hotel except the people who try to sell you timeshares, those guys are just a nightmare. Great view from the rooms, the bathroom was big and I really like the fact the you could go to sleep with the balcony open and listen to the waves.

The beach was nice, ok food, ppl were nice. Just one issue with a hot room. We upgraded nice room after that. Views all awesome, make sure you go early to reserve for restaurants and men's need to wear pants.

Really nice property. Huge white sand beach compared to most other resorts nearby. The other resorts seemed to have a huge number of rooms with a much smaller property to work with. When busy I would imagine a resort with fewer rooms wouldn't feel as crowded. I noticed every room has an ocean view. We upgraded to the best room in the resort for an extra $40 per night.
