The view from the beach room was great, but the food was terrible and the places that had the good food had so many rules in order to eat and the lines were very long. Lines for drinks were crazy as well and I'm glad I brought my own liquor as theirs was well liquor. Staff was nice though at times.

Location, pool & beach were as good as can be. It’s absolutely worth the $ for the beach front. The alcohol variety changed per location of resort. Entertainment was amazing the dance show in the pyramid is a must see. Havana bar is a great late night lounge with fun Latin music. Food was soso in some locations but good in others so be willi go try everything.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS HOTEL AT ALL COSTS !!! This review is for the 'grand oasis' level, might not be applicable for the higher 'pyramid' level. don't know where to start, really... Stayed during Christmas & new years and it was way too crowded. Check-in takes way too long which gives you an idea about what to come, for us it took about 3 hours. you also notice that most employees can't speak English (or they just use it as an excuse, not sure), which makes surviving (forget about enjoying your vacation) incredibly difficult. Rooms are old and smelly. North side, where we stayed, had some facility (AC?) outside making a lot of noise. So, our room had this continuous noise as if you are on an airplane. Buffet food was NOT EDIBLE. A la carte restaurants were first-come-first-serve, which means you wait about 2 hours to get in, and once you are in, they would tell you that half of the menu items are not available. And available ones are only mediocre at best. Drinks were also the cheapest possible ones. And, it was very hard to get even water. Orbitz should remove 'all-inclusive' tag from this hotel... And, we didn't even have high expectations because we chose this hotel for the 'entertainment'. That also was not there. Out of 6 days they only had one party at the beach club. Comes NYE, they charged extra to get in there, for the same price as external guests (!). Nightclubs were bad also. Got so much to write, but no space...

We checked late because we missed our flight and needef a overnight room. When we arrived at 1800 we were told there were no more room and it took several mins tp sucre a room. The room we were given smelled of sewage, we complained but no one ever came, we had to leave the balcony door open all night left for the airport at 0530. Very ols and run down properties.

Well where do I start I been staying at grand oasis for the past couple years never had a problem till this year! check in time is horrible at this hotel!! It takes 2:00hours to check in!! Got there at 12:00 didn’t get my room until 5:30!! Food is horrible, Drinks are Yucky & sketchy! Hotel is nice condition, but please stay away! This was my last time @ that hotel!

Loved the easy access to the beach! It is a nice property but besides swimming and the shows three times a week there wasn’t a lot of family entertainment for small kids. For young adults there’s the outside dance club and night club.

Hotel staff only eager to accommodate guests who spoke Spanish. When asked to speak with a supervisor or manager, was told there was no supervisor nor manager on property. When asked to switch room due to poor air conditioning, was told there weren’t any rooms available (which was already after 6pm). Not until speaking with a manager was room changed. Waited over 4 hours for maintenance assistance before complaining to manager of lack of assistance. Was told to have orbitz contact hotel property with any inquiries about my room. When orbitz attempted to contact personal at hotel property, the orbitz representatives were either placed on hold with no one ever taking the call or hotel personnel immediately would hang up on orbits representative. Was then told the orbitz representatives are not to call the property, but instead to email the property but to not expect a response from the reservations department until the next business day (Monday).

I don’t recommend grand oasis Cancún very old building......poor quality

The only thing I appreciated was the beach bed/canopy— the food was terrible and low quality - long lines and the then to find out they ran out of food! Always one or or 2 chefs serving food to long lines - staffing was not adequate at buffet restaurant - I would not visit this place again!

From reading recent reviews, I had ideas of what to expect. I was prepared that check in time was expected to take about 20 minutes. I was understanding of this, however, there was a couple ahead of us in line that had not booked in advance, and held up our process for 45 minutes. I do not blame the hotel or staff for that. The property was nice, completely friendly staff who was accommodating as possible. In the first day, we got lost and asked for help and was pointed in the wrong direction. Again, this is not against the property or staff, but was a simple misunderstanding as we did not speak or understand Spanish. I highly recommend downloading the Oasis app so you can have a line of sight of which restaurants are open and plan your day accordingly. Additionally, reference the map for where you want to go ahead of time. My family and I honestly enjoyed our trip.
