I don't mind the room size, I've stayed in smaller. My beef is that it was not clean. Random hairs everywhere, rubber bands found in the bathroom. The sheets were very old and had stains around the sides. Almost everything was old. On the first night, at around midnight, someone knocked on the door/window, leaving me pretty scared. The lightbulbs on the nightstand next to the beds were both burned out, the bathroom door had so much paint on it we had to linebacker slam it shut with our shoulders. We didn’t even know there was free breakfast until we were getting ready to leave. This was just a place to sleep during a busy convention. I would not stay here otherwise.
the front desk staff very helpful
The rooms were very small and the neighborhood was not great. They need to put stoppers on the doors from the stairs to prevent slamming.
I stayed here because it was going to be for one night only and a friend had previously stayed here and said it wasn’t that bad. When I arrived for check in I felt uneasy. The vibe I got what that there were several people who lived at this property on a regular basis. I checked in and was informed they charge $5 per car to park. Which to me felt like an awful lot of nerve. Yeah $5 isnt a lot of money, but it didn’t seem that the $5 was going towards improvements of any kind. The parking space that was available had a broken liquor bottle near it. I went upstairs to my room and instantly felt like the place had not been cleaned. There was a tissue hanging from the peep hole and a plastic wrapper on the ground. When I closed the door it looked like at some point someone kicked it off the hinges and they replaced the door, but forgot to replace the lock. The chain type lock that you would normally be able to close across the door to prevent anyone from coming in while you are inside was partially missing. The doors wood was exposed. At this point I pulled back the bed sheets and found stains on the mattress pad. I was so disgusted. I decided I wanted to find another hotel and started calling and driving around. I was stuck because every single hotel was sold out. I then called corporate who said I needed to take it up with the front desk first. I spoke to the front desk about all of the concerns and let them know that I had safety concerns re: the door lock.
Horrible experience! Our room door would not close/lock and after 3 times of going to the front desk for assistance we had no help, although they said they would send maintenance, they never came. Because the hotel was sold out they didn’t even attempt to switch into a room with a lock that works. We had to leave our stuff in the car every time we went out. We had no choice but to sleep in the room, and to top it off the a/c was not working and it was so hot.
I was waiting in line and saw how the staff was treating the guests (with complete and utter disdain, and a bad attitude to match). Besides unfriendly staff, this place was not the cleanest and the building itself looks very shady. I didn’t end up checking in, I left and booked a different hotel.
Felt unsafe in the area, even with security walking the parking lot. Room was clean but not really worth the nightly rate charged.
This property is tired and desperately in need of FF&E plus new bed linens, towels, etc. Coffee maker was filty, bullet proof glass at check in set the tone for our stay.
We only had 1 towel in room and we asked for more towels never got them. Didn’t like that they have alot of homeless around the parking and room area didn’t trust if they would break into cars. Other than that very comfortable rooms.
Lobby was under construction so had to go to a small window in like a outside hallway. Didn’t feel safe at all doing this. Counter person was not there right away had to wait then was rude. Room was fine. But, no room service the 4 days I was there. Only had 1 towel and I hand towel. Had to go get my own from the laundry room. No Information in the room on how to work TV and no information on places to eat no lobby number either.
Staying in affordable hotels here and there for weekend trips can be a gamble sometimes. This one has quite the sketchy crowd hanging around. Room was tiny, and questionably clean. Didn’t really want to go outside my room at night. I’d say pass this one up and pay a little more money.
Did not line the service Service and all. No towels in the room I had to come down from the 3rd floor to get some . the key did not open the door before that. No signal on the TV. Electricity went out for about an hour and half
Ghetto! Music blasting from all the trash staying there. Room didn’t even have towels and the front desk said go fetch them yourself. The shower had spiderwebbed corners and didn’t feel clean. Bed was comfy and that was about it.
Poor Customer Service. Not Safe Not Clean Lots Of Homeless And Crackheads On property
Noisy, people were knocking on the door during night, no water for almost all day
Just needed a place to stay to catch flight in the morning. Non-smoking room smells like smoke. Door didn’t close tightly. First room I got still had clothes from previous guest in dresser. Only had two towels for 4 guests. Housekeeper was rude when asked for extra towel. Worst part was waking up to roaches in the bathroom. Didn’t feel safe with multiple guest hanging around room and parking lot. Parking can be a challenge. Only good part was the lady in the breakfast room. She was helpful and very nice. Stay away from this place, even if only for one night.
