Months in advance we reserved a room for the visit of in-laws requiring ADA accommodations. Upon making the reservation I asked specific questions to insure that the room was equipped with shower access to roll in a walker/wheelchair. I was assured that it was. Two weeks before arriving my in-laws called to confirm that the bathing accommodation included a roll in shower. They were assured that yes, it did and we all felt certain that the hotel was able to meet the ADA requirements of my father-in-law. Upon check-in we went to the room to get them settled and as they looked around they saw that the bathroom had a regular shower-tub combination. Because this would prevent access to their bathing, and because we thought the staff had sent us to the wrong room, we went back to the desk to get the correct room assignment. In the subsequent conversation with hotel staff we were told that the hotel does not have any rooms that can accommodate our ADA requirement. We then identified by name the hotel individual who gave us the initial information that a roll-in shower would be available. The hotel staff seemed shocked and said, "Yes, that is one of our staff, sorry." At that point, late on a Saturday afternoon our in-laws were left with no hotel room that would accommodate their special needs, To make things worse, the hotel staff did not offer to assist us in finding another hotel, they just took the hold off of our credit card and said, "Sorry, goodbye." The four of us left upset, stressed, and incredibly disappointed in this Quality Inn & Suites. The good news was that later that day, after numerous phone calls and internet searches, we secured a room for our in-laws at the Holiday Inn Express, North, 13101 NE 27th Ave, Vancouver, WA 98686-2779, (360) 576-1040, where, when told about our experience at Quality Inn, made every effort to match the room rate and welcome our in-laws with an actual ADA compliant room. It seems that the Quality Inn staff did not report our fiasco to their manager, Mr. Andrew Shin. I did, however, write a lengthy email detailing our disappointments. He responded offering his apologies and indicated that he would be speaking to his staff. He also offered to purchase Choice Points on our behalf. Yet, after this avoidable mistake if is unlikely we will utilize the services of Quality Inn & Suites in the future. We sincerely hope that Mr. Shin will use this opportunity to educate his staff on the special needs of the disabled. Access and accommodation are critical to those who wish to enjoy their lives in the same ways that the fully mobile do every day.

We stayed at this hotel while my father was going through cancer treatment at the VA. I had my dogs with me and they had to stay in the car due to the fact they charge so much per their pet policy. The first night there, I put my do not disturb sign on the door when I left at 3:30 in the morning. I did not want the housekeeping staff in my room. Imagine my surprise when I returned late that night to find the sign on the floor of my room and the beds made...... I brought this to the attention of the manager, Andrew, and he offered a minimal 20.00 off the price of the room. I called their customer service department twice only to be left on hold. 30 minutes the first time and I am still holding for the second time. I am at 1 hour and 15 minutes now. I followed their policies, but they did not have enough respect for me to grant the privacy I asked for. If I could give them 0 stars, I would. I can guarantee you I will no longer stay at any Quality Inn in the future, or any hotel that the parent company, Choice Hotels, owns. I am an office manager for a very large corporation. You can guarantee that the Quality Inn will also be taken off of our list of places to stay.

Another huge room that was clean and comfortable. We love the fact they have micro / frig too. A couple doors down was the laundry which came in handy for us. They sell detergent at front desk but if you have more than a load walk to Safeway to get what you need. Location was great.

I came to Vancouver for a surgery anticipating a 3-week stay at QI&S. While our room seemed clean, I accidentally discovered the filth underneath. I wish I had taken more photos but I ended up with one which is included with this review. The carpets were dirty (I purchased flip flops so I'd never be barefoot in the hotel), there was old liquid splashed on the wall of our room, and aside from all of that... My mother and I are both hot tub aficionados. A good tub is around 104 degrees, is clean, and is ADA friendly. Unfortunately, the layer of human skin and other detritus was floating on the bubbles generated by the jets. That brown layer of scum surrounded the tub, floating on top of the tub, and was also hidden under the lip of the concrete. I was in enough pain that we cleaned the hot tub and called the front desk to pick up the 6 towels it took to absorb and scrub the hot tub. I asked the clerk for a discount on our room, showed her the scum, and gave her the opportunity to run her finger under the lip of the concrete--she was horrified, declined our offer, and went to get a clean towel with which to pick up the 'cleaning towels'. We received a small discount on our stay and checked out the next day. Swimming in in a brown, frothy pool of human sludge doesn't work for a non-standardized rate on a long-term stay. I would never recommend this hotel or stay at this chain based on this experience.

This was a wonderful place to stay. I was so impressed with the room and how very clean it was. The bed was super comfy too. They had many choices for breakfast and the area was well kept. Front desk was friendly and courteous. Nice place to stay.

This place was nice and clean, the staff were very pleasant, it was nice and quiet, bed was real comfortable, also came with complementary breakfast which was really good. It was close to a couple of restaurants which made it even better.

good location, restaurants surrounding the site, easy on/off interstate. Front desk staff was very courteous and helpful! Would definitely stay again if I came this way again. Breakfast variety was good, included some hot selections, waffles

This hotel has impressed me again. This time we were able to use the pool and hot tub. The pool is your typical hotel pool, not really big, but enough to play around with the kids in. It was clean and we had some fun. The hot tub is a little small, but not bad. I will DEFINITELY stay here again. Good job staff members! You are ALWAYS friendly and helpful.

I didn't like this hotel, my family thought it was okay. The pool and hot tub (very small) were nice! The hot tub did have a used bandaid laying next to it which I found to be disturbing but did not impact our good soak. When we arrived, the room looked nothing like the pictures online witch was odd. We hauled our stuff out of the first room and back to the front desk (NO ELEVATOR), where the clerk told us "there's nothing I can do about that". We had booked a suite with a seating area but got to our room to find that there was only beds and no extra furniture (chair, couch, etc). She was unsure if room 210 would have a couch but gave us the key so we could check for ourselves. It turned out to be fine. The room stunk but was clean, and we just slept with the windows open to allow some fresh air to circulate. Breakfast was not good but worked. Egg patties (bad), sausage (ok), waffle maker was nice. Very small seating area in the breakfast room. *GOOD* good value for a clean room that ultimately worked out fine, great TV channels including dozens of premiums, fridge in our room was nice for chilling wine.

First the staff was wonderful! Polite and sincere. However, the bed was literally broke down and hurt to sleep on. The hot tub is very small and needed cleaned as it had green film on top of the bubbles. The pool was perfect....clean and temperature was most enjoyable. The breakfast was egg patties, sausage, waffles, breads, yogurt, apples, and oranges. Collectively sound OK but was not.
