Recent guest reviews

Hotel Max is conveniently located in downtown. Walking distance to most attractions. The rooms are clean and simple. Try to ask for a room on a higher floor for views.

I'm 5'7" and 125# - and even *I* couldn't fit in the shower. Walls are paper thin. My neighbors were speaking in a normal way, and I could hear their conversations and the sex sounds thoroughly. For hours. I couldn't sleep. Not a great experience.

Omg the staff was amazing Jim the doorman and the other gentlemen I commend for kindness and service. Kayla front desk AMAZING as allthe front desk people from morning to night shift so so so accommodating above wnd beyond. Thank you for making my daughters Birthday GREAT ...

I wish there were a few more amenities in the room, like a microwave and empty refrigerator (ones in room are used for the mini bar), but I also understand space is limited as this is a historic hotel built in the 1920s. Other than that, the staff treated us exceptionally well and we had a very pleasant stay.

Great rooms, staff and location. Hope to be back soon.

Only there for 2 night but it was great. Got a free upgrade to a king sized bed. Happy hour in the lobby is nice. Restaurant next door is fantastic. Rooms were a little small but I had everything I needed. Ill definitely stay here again.

Overall a nice hotel. The one glaring point would be the beds. They are hard as a rock. If that suits you, fine. But other wise the are pretty rough. Couldnt get a good nights sleep because i was tossing and turning so much.

Very accomodating staff and great location. Enjoyed my stay.

The staff was friendly, the beer hour was cool, and the location was exactly what I needed, but the tiny bathroom where I couldn't even stretch without hitting my hands on the ceiling was pretty poor. I couldn't even shower without the shower curtain rubbing against me because it's so small. The walls were so thin I was able to hear entire conversations going on next door, and the day before I left the outlets in the bathroom stopped working.

The ceiling leaked into our bathroom so there was a puddle on the floor and the refrigerator key wouldn’t work. When I shared it with them upon checkout they just said they wouldn’t charge me a facilities fee. ???

All was wonderful with a beer tasting everyday late afternoon. Beds are extremely comfortable.

Decent location, as expected for any downtown hotel, the rooms and bathrooms are small.
