Property was clean and well kept. Building was older. We had the smallest bathroom bathroom we have ever had in our hotel stays. Our cruise ship bathroom was bigger than the hotel bathroom. Staff was not overly attentive. Went for morning coffee in the lobby, no coffee, no creamer Neither of the 2 staff members behind desk seemed excited about getting more, and the desk was not busy. Location is excellent, with plenty of dining options and sites to see within walking distance.
The staff was super friendly and helpful, especially in booking a taxi for 4am. The location was convenient. The bathroom was TINY. There were stains on the desk and remote. Walls were thin so you could hear neighbors in conversation. Our toilet had an issue where the water kept running so we had to unkink the chain after every flush. We heard a lot of ambulances and car alarms in the evenings. Don’t think I would stay here again.
The hotel charges $22/day in "amenity" fees in addition to the room fees covered by the Orbitz package. This feels unfair and inappropriate, given the fact that the hotel does not offer other standard hotel amenities like in-room coffee machines or in-room access to free drinkable water. (I was told not to drink out of the tap but to use the filtered water in the lobby or pay $6 for a bottled water.) The rooms are fine, but tiny and not super functional. It's downtown Seattle, so there's street noise, but the walls are also thin, so you'll hear every phone call your neighbors make. The room has a window unit for heating and cooling, so temp is difficult to control and the machine is big and noisy. Location is great, but there are other options in the area that the $22/day amenities fee could help you to afford.
I enjoyed my stay at the Max Hotel. It's definitely a boutique hotel, but good on amenities and super clean. It was close to all the things I wanted to go to.
Assure parking when booking is done and have daily house keeping. Area is located in walking distances for attractions.
Stayed here many times and always enjoy its comforts; I know know to ask for a hot water heater in the room as it’s no longer an amenity. Enjoyed the welcoming guy at the front desk and the complimentary beer he offered. Still, a favorite place to stay in Seattle.
Very helpful and friendly staff. The room was on the small side but it worked for our purposes. Loved the QR code in the room for recommendations on local bars. They were attentive in addressing health concerns for their staff with COVID-19 but we felt we could always get anything we needed. Very small shower.
The rooms are small but very comfortable, clean and have what you need, except microwave. It hurts that the two nights we spent the neighbors did not let us sleep.
I like the fact that it was in the middle of downtown.
the stay was good for 2 nights. The room is small and the bathroom might be haunted, but I enjoyed my time there.

Thank you for your feedback. Please note that that should you consider Hotel Max in the future, we do have larger rooms with different spacious layouts. We apologize for the morning coffee experience you had. We will take that feedback and will implement these notes into a training opportunity for future guests.

Thank you for your feedback. Please note that there are rooms on the floor that face away from the street to reduce street noise. Hopefully, the toilet concern was reported to the Front Desk so they could address it for you before you left.

Thank you for you honest feedback. Please note that the water in this state is safe to drink. The amenity fee covers many services that are not noted in your review. A complete list can be found on the website or any Front Desk associate can assist.
