Nice hotel but follow up service difficult

The Regency is located in an attractive area of the CBD. Room was functional but a key lamp could not be activated from the wall fixture. Had to be turned on manually. Shower controls were intuitive. I left a notebook mouse behind and found it very difficult to reach the front desk after departing the hotel. Finally connected after trying 4 different numbers. There should be at least an email to communicate requests to retrieve items.

Television did not work on second day, but was resolved within an hour. Sadly, we missed a beloved soccer match…. Restaurant required reservations for breakfast !!!! Was not informed upon checkin. NO urn of coffee for 15 to 20 minute wait….but were directed to purchase coffee on second floor, which had 30 persons in lineup…never got coffee before the 20 minute reservation call. NOT CUSTOMER FRIENDLY! Upon our complaint, the manager did comp our breakfasts….we were not asking for a free breakfast & left the cost $ to the waitress. COMMON SENSE ? on the hotel’s management…We did not return.
