My only comment is the gap under the door. I was in room 1209. The gap between the threshold and the door was wide...…..you could have pushed two dinner plates (stacked on top) under the door. Other then that a good room and a good stay

The staff are friendly and well informed about local activities. The remodel is stunning and beautiful and suggest guests look around the first floor. A good nights sleep on a bed we wished we had at home. The only draw back is the very expensive valet parking.

The only negative was that the restaurant became "over 21 only" after 6pm so my teenager and I could not have dinner there.

location, roof deck bar, views from room, staff at check in

We chose if because of its proximity to the Univ. of Wash. and believing it had free parking. NOT. Paid $35 a day to park! No real restaurant on premises, just a coffee shop. Tub shower, not walk-in shower. We were moved to a handicapped accessible room second day, which helped, but it had no light in shower.

The bathroom is super small, the additional doorlocks are just chains, they don't have dresser drawers, and the place smells old. Also, the food in the rooftop bar is expensive and terrible. On a bright side though, the staff is nice and professional.

The rooftop bar/restaurant provides wonderful views of Seattle.

I didn't like that the property was overbooked and nobody told me.

There was only one cup for water in a room for 3 people. There was no coffee maker in the room, but the housekeeping cart was loaded with k-cups. The shower gel was empty when we checked in, and never filled during our stay. The bathroom floor was grimy in the corners. Parking. There is none. At all. Unless you pay for the valet. The housekeeper knocked on our door at 9:15 and asked what time we were leaving. Checkout is at 11. I have stayed in hotels less than half a mile away from this property for less money and got free coffee and parking with no housekeeping harassment. Good parts - the check-in staff is amazing! The rooftop bar is out of this world! Walking distance to UW was convenient. Unfortunately this isn’t enough for me to repeat my stay in the future.

Very comfortable room and nice location. Very close to restaurants. Valet parking made having a car easy

Cute aesthetic, lovely rooftop bar, and an overall convenient location.

New type of hotel that is located next to universities in order to take advantage of customer’s college-era nostalgia.

Absolutely disliked the bathroom. Have to move the toilet paper holder just to move around or even close the bathroom door. Truly disappointed. This hotel is NOT in Europe or NVC. Also had poor water pressure. Good location near restaurants and not too far from the MAX Link. Many places do close early (6pm) which was also disappointing.

Great location, walking distance to restaurants, coffee shops and retail. The "Graduate/College" them is different and fun. No pool or jaccuzi on the property though and true to its age, the walls are thin and you can hear conversations all night long. Bring ear plugs.

Excellent location and great staff. We really enjoyed our stay

Clean, fun decor and huge fireplace. They are renovating so minimal food. The bar will be opening in a few weeks, we were told. We came up to stay overnight because The Neptune is just across the street. Convenient. Ended up concert was cancelled to to Seattlegeddon snow. Ate at a Texas BBQ place walking distance 2 blocks up. Great food. After our stay, the valet dug our car out, cleaned off the snow, defroster on, warmed seats and was very friendly. We will stay again.

Hello JohnWerner, Our apologies for the confusion on the parking charges. We, as well as all University District hotels do charge for parking. We're glad to hear that the bathroom in the second room was able to better accommodate your needs. Thank you for your review!

Hello, We're sorry to hear about your troubles in the Mountaineering Club. It sounds like you may have been in one of our studio single rooms. They a great deal but seeing as they are only about 150 square feet, they can feel a bit too cozy at times. Our staff would be thrilled to have the opportunity to host you again, and we can certainly look into a more spacious room for you. Thank you for taking the time to share your experience.
