This was our first time staying in Seattle and honestly, we could not have picked a better place for our stay. The service was amazing, staff were very friendly and willing to help. The environment and room was very clean and organized. It was also very close to the downtown area, Pike Place, the airport and the cruise port. We will definitely recommend it and stay again when in Seattle.

This place is what it is. Totally bare bones. No front desk, no ice machine, weird coffee maker in room that makes bad coffee, TV channels didn't work, neighborhood is sort of dicey, luggage storage lockers are always full. It's less expensive than other hotel options in Seattle, but for a reason. And BTW - Seattle itself is incredibly expensive. A sandwich and a beer at a local pub was close to $40, including tax and tip. Our last visit to Seattle, ever.

It's a cute room, veey compressed and minimalist, but maybe too minimal. No ice machine, ac does not cool, refrigerator was shutoff, the lights kept going out due to energy saving switches. Room waa very warm during the summer, no elevators. There was a staff person that was extremely friendly, polite and helpful. The tv would only broadcast ifvyoubhad a Google, Netflix or Prime account, even for "live tv" option. Room was relatively clean and bed was ok.

Due to mechanical problems with my original booking, I was moved to a basement room. There was a 2x1 foot size window, period. I am allergic to mold and slightly Claustrophobic which made this particular room unacceptable. Room was canceled. Originally booking was made months ahead- this was not a last minute deal with limited availability.

Had a great week-long stay at Sonder Boylston Capitol Hill. The neighbourhood was a little grungy but liveable and reasonably safe. Easy downhill 10min walk to central downtown area. Walking back home uphill was more of a workout, oh Seattle, your gradients! Every facility I used was clean and everything worked ok, shower was really nice. Weird electric light switches I had never seen before took a bit of getting used to. TV was on an articulated wall mounting (groovy) but had no antenna, so all options were streaming, and that was ok except I missed having the flavour of 'local' channels available.

Rented 2 rooms, when got there we only had 1 room. I had to get ahold of staff so i could get the other room. During stay 1 staff member was complaining about my service dog, stating he was barking. Barked only at him when he was making noise outside our door.

Sleepless in Seattle!

The property was a renovated apartment house. It was nicely done. The rooms are tiny. No closet. Our rooms ac units thermostat did not function properly. It would blow cold air at full blast with no ability to choose a low setting. Either full on or we had to turn off. The room was tiny and it would become frigid. Also the exhaust fan did not work. This our room would become very steamy after a shower.

No Frills Hotel is a Step Above

Clean and safe, its a nice alternative to a regular hotel. Times staff are on site vary, but they came through with a microwave and iron in a timely fashion. Rooms are quite small, but efficient.

There’s NO ELEVATORS. You have to carry your luggage up 6 flights of stairs. We help an older couple with their luggages. There’s no staff to assist you and when you call the number it take a long time for them to respond. We suppose to have someone help bring down the luggage in the morning and she never showed up. There’s homeless people doing drugs across the streets.

The only one minor problem was that I did not know my room would be on the 6th floor without an elevator. Although I much appreciate a European style facility, it would have been nice if it was made more clear in advertising that there is no elevator. The staff person was very friendly and helpful.

Beautiful property the room was small but what I requested. The Wi-Fi was excellent; I believe there is a meeting room, but it was full when I wanted to use it.The facility is very clean, the bed was awesome and uses self check in and out with a manager often somewhere on property. The neighborhood is funky with lots of dining and drinking opportunities close by.There is street noise (cool enough to open windows!) as it’s a densely packed community. Lots of sirens, dumpsters being emptied, crowd noises, etc, but it is what it is. All in all, I’d never heard of this brand before but will keep an eye out for it in the future.

Great location for walking to the Starbucks Roastry for breakfast each morning. Short Uber ride to all of the tourist spots in Seattle. Parking was in a garage one block over for $15 per day. Not a bad walk as long as you don’t have a lot of luggage to pull along, which I did not, thankfully. I felt safe enough walking around the neighborhood. The rooms are tiny, I mean TINY. Really only well served for one traveler or a couple that has minimal luggage! The bed was comfy, the shower nicely sized, and when I needed a microwave one night, I messaged through the Sonder App and had one within 10 minutes! Upon check-in, after using the code provided to enter the building, I found the stairs to climb to the 6th floor. Thankfully there was a phone number posted on a clearly marked sign that I could call for help with luggage. A Staff member happened to be coming down the stairs and quickly offered to have my bag sent up in the service elevator. My bag went up the service elevator and I climbed the stairs to the 6th floor, a good workout! Though there is NO front desk, NO one that greets you at the door, they are there… somewhere… you just message through the app and they quickly appear! All in all, a great location, overall clean room and help when you really needed it. I would recommend this hotel to the solo traveler, couples that don’t mind a lot of stairs and being in very close quarters. It’s not your typical Marriott experience, so just know that going in and you will be fine.

The only part about the room that was hard to work around was water leaking out onto the floor from where the glass shower doors met the tub/base. Otherwise I was happy with the room and how the setup was very minimal and efficient. The ability to turn the room into a cave with the curtains was really nice and made for easy sleeping, especially long into the morning.

It was not clear to me that this is not an accessibility friendly hotel, there aren’t no elevators for people (only luggage) and I was placed on the 6th floor.
