This was the very worst hotel/motel experience that I have ever had. The second biggest problem was that we found a bedbug infestation in my daughter's bed. The biggest problem was that the staff responded to our concerns about this (and the photo and video that we provided) with mockery, sneering, and faux counter-accusations, as if we were trying to scam the motel by seeking alternative accommodations shortly before midnight. This was not the only problem. The water in our room smelled strongly of sulfur or sewage (a rotten egg smell). There was bottled water in the room, but it had a price tag, and the front desk staff refused to comp it after I reported that the tap water smelled awful and unsafe. As with the bedbug infestation, the staff responded to such concerns with sneering, bullying, defensiveness, and counter-accusations. This is a budget option, but we incurred significant costs when we realized we could not stay in a room with a bedbug infestation. For people who might find this motel appealing because of the fitness center and pool, I should say that this is an enormous complex, so we were not really able to enjoy the facilities, due to the large number of people sharing a somewhat small pool. The fitness center is in the pool area, which is closed between 10PM and 8AM, so I was not able to squeeze in a workout by getting up early. I should also note that we found stains on the carpet in our room and there was a dead bird outside of our door on our first AM.
