Great place to stay in the downtown Reno area. Non-gaming, non-smoking, pet-friendly, and with an overall ambiance calm. I usually stay at Homewood Suites, so that was a real pleasant surprise for the business traveller.

its a very nice hotel just wish it had a casino. love it though

Friendly staff. Great valet parking. Beautiful facility. Live music in restaurant at breakfast was annoying as the player was off jey and very loud.

It's a modern, clean hotel - no casino is a real plus! The fitness center and our room were a little on the warm side but otherwise no complaints!

What a nice hotel! Staff was friendly, room was spacious, and it was non-smoking! It was also centered to a lot of things. Only thing is I forgot our toothbrush but had to buy them. Usually they’re free... I would recommend just parking at El Dorado’s lot since it was free!

Take room to the South side. North is noisy because of train

We had very pleasant stay in this hotel. It is green and clean, staffs are warm and kind. We will stay in this hotel again!

The parking garage is awful. Run down, bums everywhere. If you don't get valet to park you run the risk of being mugged. It's all young people just hanging and bumming. Played their guitar on speakers until midnight and this was a Monday night. Will never stay there again.

Love this hotel; they simply do everything right. And I so appreciate a totally smoke-free property, vs. a smoke free "wing." I used to dread going to Reno for business, given the smoke everywhere. Now I enjoy it and can even take the train and walk the one block to WP. An excellent addition to Reno's hotel options.

When we arrived there was noone available to help with our bags or to even hold the door for us while we dealt with our own bags. Parking is available through a facility that charges $5 everytime you leave the garage. And the parking area is not on site so you have to walk block with our luggage.

Charged for valet.didnt use.had to get a refund.everybody must get charged. A.c. didn't work.

One of very few smoke-free hotels in Reno. We found it to be very clean, trouble free, quiet, with friendly staff.

Stayed here for two nights when in town for business. This hotel is in downtown Reno, right next to the famous sign. It's been a while since I was in downtown Reno, but it's not the most spectacular place to be. Lots of boarded up and run down businesses and casinos. Therefore, the areas immediately surrounding the hotel are pretty dreary and somewhat sketchy. However, a couple blocks away is the newly developed riverwalk area, which has some good restaurants and a movie theater. If staying at the Whitney Peak, either eat at the hotel restaurant (which was pretty good) or make the short walk to the riverwalk to eat at one of those restaurants. Parking is at a parking garage across the street. You can do valet for like $15 a day, or park yourself for $5 every time you enter. The valet service was pretty slow when I was there so ended up parking myself.

Hotel was very clean/comfortable and the staff was friendly and accommodating. The only downside was the parking facility which was located about a block from the hotel. Fee was very reasonable - only $5 per day, (but no in and out - you had to pay each time you left). IF you wanted valet service that WAS available for a cost of $15.

It was a short trip but the hotel was quiet with no casino attached. Directly across from the Eldorado so everything was close. I had goto the train and the train station is directly a half of block walking distance.

First of, this is not a casino hotel but its right next to El Dorado and Harrah's. I like that they have free purified water on each floor. Too bad they didnt have dedicated service elevators. Can be hard to get an elevator at times. Staff is excellent though. Parking is not free and parking is far from hotel so drop off your luggage and park in El Dorado garage. Your probably gonna play/eat there anyway. Overall I really liked the hotel. Had a great view to watch the New Year's fireworks downtown.

When we arrived they did not have the room we reserved available so they gave us an awesome upgrade and went above and beyond in every category! Everyone on the staff was so friendly and accommodating! Matina in the Club Lounge was AWESOME! Location was excellent, facilities were amazing!
