When we arrived there was noone available to help with our bags or to even hold the door for us while we dealt with our own bags. Parking is available through a facility that charges $5 everytime you leave the garage. And the parking area is not on site so you have to walk block with our luggage.

Charged for valet.didnt use.had to get a refund.everybody must get charged. A.c. didn't work.

One of very few smoke-free hotels in Reno. We found it to be very clean, trouble free, quiet, with friendly staff.

Stayed here for two nights when in town for business. This hotel is in downtown Reno, right next to the famous sign. It's been a while since I was in downtown Reno, but it's not the most spectacular place to be. Lots of boarded up and run down businesses and casinos. Therefore, the areas immediately surrounding the hotel are pretty dreary and somewhat sketchy. However, a couple blocks away is the newly developed riverwalk area, which has some good restaurants and a movie theater. If staying at the Whitney Peak, either eat at the hotel restaurant (which was pretty good) or make the short walk to the riverwalk to eat at one of those restaurants. Parking is at a parking garage across the street. You can do valet for like $15 a day, or park yourself for $5 every time you enter. The valet service was pretty slow when I was there so ended up parking myself.

Hotel was very clean/comfortable and the staff was friendly and accommodating. The only downside was the parking facility which was located about a block from the hotel. Fee was very reasonable - only $5 per day, (but no in and out - you had to pay each time you left). IF you wanted valet service that WAS available for a cost of $15.

It was a short trip but the hotel was quiet with no casino attached. Directly across from the Eldorado so everything was close. I had goto the train and the train station is directly a half of block walking distance.

First of, this is not a casino hotel but its right next to El Dorado and Harrah's. I like that they have free purified water on each floor. Too bad they didnt have dedicated service elevators. Can be hard to get an elevator at times. Staff is excellent though. Parking is not free and parking is far from hotel so drop off your luggage and park in El Dorado garage. Your probably gonna play/eat there anyway. Overall I really liked the hotel. Had a great view to watch the New Year's fireworks downtown.

When we arrived they did not have the room we reserved available so they gave us an awesome upgrade and went above and beyond in every category! Everyone on the staff was so friendly and accommodating! Matina in the Club Lounge was AWESOME! Location was excellent, facilities were amazing!

I moved to this hitel after two nights in a casino hotel. The whitney peak is a place you can go to escape that scene, but still be close to other reno attractions. Comfortable, great decor, trendy.

Stayed here for business. HUGE room; very clean; 24 hour gym

The room was nice the bedding was 100 the elevators are not fantastic bathroom nice but not as good as nugget or gsr the parking is just not a good situation, Keurig in room idk if i'd stay downtown in any event so nothing against this place in general owners should send an emissary to the hotel Murano in Tacoma this could be that type of place w some $/effort

valet parking or garage parking -one block away

Fix the ventilation & lighting in the gym & add a tv monitor or 2 & Whitney Peak is pushing 5 stars. Very pet friendly. No smoking on site & loads of great people watching.

Very clean and nicely done. In the heart of Reno within walking distance to casinos and businesses. This was once the Fitzgerald, an iconic landmark that has been beautifully renovated for a modern audience. The rooms are very clean, spacious and have good views. A rock climbing gymnasium on the second floor replaces the typical gaming area and the non-smoking environment throughout is a literal breath of fresh air. Some city sounds drift up through the windows but that's universal for downtown dwellers. Parking is valet or do it yourself at a nearby lot. Pleasant, attentive staff, nicely done food at the 1st floor restaurant (room service was fast too) and clean, comfortable rooms make this hotel a great value for Reno visits.

I road my motorcycle up to Reno for two nights during the 'Street Vibrations' Spring motorcycle rally. The hotel allows dogs but no smoking and there's no gambling and their Heritage restaurant and bar is fantastic. The desk people are super and the valet guys are great too. There's covered parking right across the street too. I'll stay there every time I go to Reno from now on since I don't gamble and I don't smoke and next time I'll bring my little dog.

We liked the fact that the hotel was located near several casinos. All we gad to do was cross the street and we had access to 3 ....

Everything was great besides the ac unit. I called the front desk to let them know that the ac was not working. It was stuffy the whole stay. They said they would send an engineer but no one ever showed up or even followed up.

Close to all activities downtown. Easy access and able to walk to El Dorado to see Footloose. Would Highly recommend. Love the nonsmoking environment.

Renovated almost 2 years ago so rooms are still clean. This is the old Fitzgetald. Appreciate that there is NO gaming or smoking here. Outdoorsman theme. Nice and simple touches like pump shower soaps and no microwave minimizes housekeepers job. Heater is very loud and bed firm made for semi-restless night. All staff friendly (i.e. front desk, valet, security, housekeeping and restaurant). Restaurant cook is hungover or something as my eggs came scrambled when i asked for over hard and my sons breakfast came with sausage instead of bacon. The power bowl seasonal vegetables is various lettuce, tomatoes, onions and mushrooms. Was expecting squash or something.

Great service great employes the room was so clean and the housekeepers were so helpful.
