Our bed sheets had holes in them, pillow cases were stained. Bath tub had sand and dirt in it. Tv did not work not the best to spend our wedding anniversary.
The room itself was quite nice especially for the price! Registration was rather cumbersome and inconveniently placed to the room but we took the short rail ride once we figured out where we needed to go.
Our frustrations began at the airport where the scheduled shuttle bus never showed up. After waiting 40 minutes ( we arrive 5 minutes before a scheduled pick up time) we were offered a ride by another hotel driver. We later found out that the afternoon shift driver had not shown up. We had a long trek, up and down stairs, with our suitcases and there is no posted schedule for the tram to our building, so we had no idea if we should wait or just walk it. There are multiple ads for "lots of places to eat" but we found only two that were open. This was around 6:30 p.m., so dinner time for many people. We were also looking forward to seeing some of the "world famous circus acts performed every 30 minutes" but those also were closed up and not available until the next evening. Really? W e had also been told it was possible to walk from casino to casino, but when we asked how to get out of Circus Circus we were just directed to an escalator that took us to another floor. We only had one evening in Reno as it was part of our journey to another destination, but we don't have very good memories to encourage a return visit.
It's the little things that can make or break a customer's visit. The most important thing is customer service. Sometimes that alone, can make up for older rooms, missing amenities, etc. But during our stay that didn't happen! Check in was smooth. No issues at all. Called down to housekeeping for more towels because for a family of 4, three body towels and wash cloths aren't gonna cut it. They answered said there were a few ahead of us... we said thank you. They hung up. Without saying you're welcome or anything! Then we never got the towels and the next day after the room was cleaned we still didn't get an efficient amount of towels. Only on the last day did the maid actually give us enough. Then front desk was not very knowledgeable about the restaurants operating times etc... just not friendly... The employees there were just not friendly. Smug and rude. There was only one and he was a bellman and we met him in the elevator... so I never caught his name! But he should train the other staff on how to treat guests!
Perfect time of year. Not crowded in hotel. Easy walk to campus, McDonalds for an early breakfast. Great that it was right on street near Hot August Nites ( music, vintage cars). Enjoyed 28 th floor views. Amazing lights. Thank you for a great experience; many family members gathered at this hotel too
Would recommend for location and price....but not for luxury or extravaganza. Hotel is priced appropriately for lack of upkeep. But clean.
Hotel staff were very friendly. Property was clean and well cared for.
We were disappointed with the condition of the bad smelling, outdated, room.
I stay here because it is very kid friendly. They help make an adult town also for the little ones.
Long way walk to casino. Hotel in the other building ,shuttle service slow.
Good place for Business travelers,Couples and Families, Wide variety of food options Clean and comfortable. Quiet place If Gambling is what you have in mind many opportunities to do so. If you do not Gamble that is OK as more places you can go for entertainment
Undergoing renovations, including most restaurants. Even the buffet was closed from Monday to Thursday. No pool. Several stores closed early and many weren't even open on Monday.
Nice clean rooms. Love this place my kids had a great time playing games
The hotel was a bit dated and not as updated as other locations. The housekeeping staff was not friendly at all. Though the activities for the kids was a plus.
We had our kids with us, so we assumed we would spend a fair amount of time in the arcade and pool. I guess I shouldn't of assumed they had a pool, because they don't. As far as the arcade goes. It doesn't open until 1pm. I don't know about you, but my kids are ready for action at 8 am. The arcade was fun overall. The room was clean and nothing was broken. If it wasn't just a stop on our road trip, I probably would stay somewhere else with a pool and visit Circus Circus next time.
We stayed here for one night on our way to Las Vegas. With two young kids I thought they would have fun on the Midway. After a long day of driving I was frustrated to wait over 25 minutes just to check in. I was a bit frustrated that I was charged over $12 for a roll away bed just for one night. I didn't mind the walk to the Sky Tower from the front desk, but then we waited for 3 elevators to go up to our room due to so many people waiting for an elevator with luggage. The room itself was as advertised, but there was mold in multiple places in the bathroom and the overall feel of the room was kind of dirty. I am not really a germ-a-phob but the tv and the remote had ground in dirt and grim that made me not want to touch them. I had read they offered room service but there were no menus in the room to order anything. I needed to call down to the front desk due to losing my credit card on the Midway, and discovered our phone didn't work. I eventually got it to work but similar to the tv remote, it just seemed grimy to the touch. Overall the kids had fun playing games, but we will not be returning again due to the overall run down and grimy feeling of the hotel. I found a good price for my night, otherwise I would have been very disappointed if I had paid full price for my stay.
Can't beat the price on a week day especially. We have a child so this place is great for that... needs a little updating but while we were there this time they were renovating. The room was pretty comfortable. The hotel itself is conveniently connected to a couple others
Not exactly the pics on line or decoration. Looks old and dirty no coffee pot to make coffee or fridge or microwave. Bathroom look really old and dirty
My reservation was not there when I arrived so they made me pay $80 and get another room
Great new clean look, friendly staff at valet Ann bell hop and front desk! Housekeeping on other hand rude! Had 4 people in room and argued only give us 3 towels then ordered roll away took 4 hours to get it! Dealers where all stuck up
