We stay for 5 days. Not much dinning options.out of 2 restaurants only 1 with family other one was adult only Italian food. Not much English speaking stuff so hard to communicate. Mexican restaurant you can’t order multiple appetizer,meal or dessert. Pre made menu and small portions served. For tortillas you have to keep asking only bring 1 or 2 at time. Buffet was average. Snack place have pizza on menu but never available to ordered. And lot of item from menu not available all time.
The property has an excellent location. We liked that the hotel has a marina side and a beach side. The temperature controlled pool on the beach side was nice. I don't want to make the food service in general sound bad because there was a large variety of good food but out of our family of 5 all 5 of us got very sick after eating at the various restaurants, to the point that we had a lot of downtime because we all got very sick on different days. For that reason we did not go on a boat trip that we would have liked to go on. It was unfortunate and we tried to make the best of it. After losing trust in the food at the hotel we ate out as much as we could for the rest of our stay. Honestly, I do not plan on staying there again. When we entered the room one of the first things that we noticed (we reserved a superior room for a family of 5) that the toiletries were tiny and were not going to be suficient for the 5 of us. We decided to go to the marina next door and purchase shampoo and soap for the whole week that we stayed there. I did not like that I paid the same rate for every single night that we were there but were told that we could not get fresh shower towels daily.
We liked it's location to the Marina and walking, must say staff were great and would try to help if they could. What we didn't like is: Bad internet, sparce., no small fridge in room, no ice bucket or ice machines available. Not enough umbrellas for around the pool which is needed badly, nor were there chairs available around the pool for those who have a hard time laying on the lounges. The snack bar serving hamburgers & pizzas, were often out of lets say french fries or no pizza at all, and these were shortly when they opened. Food was good at most places, however to much of the time the food was not hot when it should be. Signage for activities was not clear; again poor internet if at all!
Very poor service and old rooms. Manager and staff are involved of stealing money from the room.
Property was very clean, but I booked two room and requested to be side by side and was not granted this request.
The service from waiters and bar tenders was rude,they were not friendly.always upset or nas or stressed. Reservations for dining not available always sold out or not enough capacity. The dining options were sad and not appetizing, not much options for kids. I would not recommend
The pool needs serious repair we all got several cuts because of sharp exposed areas. Food ok but very limited variety staff could have been more helpful especially when they made several errors
I liked the price of the package but the food could be better at all the restaurantd especially the snack bar.. the front desk is usually understaffed with long lines.
Nothing broken Pool we was there 15 people in my group 5 of them cut there feet inside the pool, service terrible !!! They don’t give you the right information everybody’s running don’t have time for me you US a question and they just say half of them information, did have the right signs or signs in some doors not even the number for COVID test not even a sign in the door they send you go to this number and no number in the doo, food scale 5 to 10 it’s 5 and bad service they have so limited in the personal pool workers they work so hard but they don’t have enough people. It’s 2 stars nothing close to a resort only looks great in the pictures and the price it’s high!! I really make a bad decision went I pic this hotel!!

This is my second time at Vamar Vallarta and once again it was an amazing experience. Amazing and professional staff. Great food and drink. And walking distance to the city center and local marina markets. Kid friendly as well. Definitely looking forward to coming back.

DO NOT STAY HERE!! I repeat, do not stay here. It was the most frustrating thing I have ever experienced. Their services terrible, the food terrible, the rooms terrible!!! As I was going to bed, there was literally FOOD in the sheets... disgusting!!!!! The shower doesn't even have door. I don't even know how they are even open as a hotel. Worst hotel experience I've ever had.
I would never stay at Vamar again.The only is positive was that they had some foods that we like at the breakfast buffet. The negatives at this property were: had to ask countless times to have room cleaned and when it was we were given minimum refill of towels and body wash, food was overall not good, line up for food took forever @ the buffet with minimal staff to serve you, one restaurant you have to make reservations & it took 3 hours for them to serve us all of our order, this was a Spanish speaking resort and they never played games or songs in English, alcohol was doable but for the most part nothing tasted that great, the beach side was not a good beach, old property needing a ton of updates & uncomfortable beds.
I liked everything about this property. The staff were extremely friendly, the property is beautiful and well maintained, the food is very good and the drinks are available at any time. There’s like 5 restaurants, 3 or 4 pools, several swim up bars and 3-4 bars elsewhere. Always an activity to enjoy or can always go to the beach and relax.

I must say that the minibar is only subject to availability since it is not an amenity offered as such by the hotel, but we do have coolers and other items to offer as long as they are required at reception, which was not done at the time . Any need that our guests have is solved almost immediately by our staff. We look forward to having you back with us so you can see all the changes and improvements we've made.
