Nice place. Clean and service was excellet. Food was good, good variety, bar so so. Has room for improvement. Great location by the marina witha small beach area.

Staff is great! Love the pools, some days we'd stay at the pools by the marina, other days we'd go to the pools by the ocean. Food is ok, big variety. Rooms are clean.

We stayed here for a week in February. The location and staff were very good, however, the food had much to be desired. Everything was about the same. Breakfast was decent but the rest needed not improvement for sure.

We chose the all inclusive package for the first time ever and we enjoyed the experience over all. There were some huge crowds of teenagers and accompanying loud music and loud mob activity but it seemed to be controlled. Take some ear plugs. Be prepared for a hard bed but I prefer this to a soft bed. A chair and a luggage rack would be nice additions to the basic room. I thought the hotel offered a good value for the money.

Staff rude food terrible watered down drinks wifi connection bad all over hotel room smelled very stuffy sink stopped up very little English speaking staff only thing good was the taxi services really need to have more quality food for the price for all inclusive resort

The staff at the resort were wonderful, if we needed anything it was done. We wanted chairs for the balcony and they were delivered in 10 minutes. We were right buy the marina so we enjoyed that. Would definitely go there again.

We only needed to stay one night. It was convenient and reasonably priced. Front desk personnel were nice and helpful. But the room is bare basics. You get soap, shampoo and lotion with large bath towels. No tissue, no hand towels for the sink. The sheets were clean. It was a busy week with lots of locals coming from all around Mexico. It was loud at night. It's conveniently located next to the marina. Overall, a good place if you want a clean place to just stay and don't expect much more.

Pleasantly surprised by how close this hotel is to the beach. A great variety of foods and great access to additional trips and adventures.

This hotel is older, could use a few updates in the rooms but they are clean, the staff is great, food was really good on some days, ok on other days - I never went hungry, like having the Marina side and the ocean side - beautiful views, great vacation!

A friend and I made a quick trip to PV in February and decided to stay at Vamar Vallarta, overall it was a wonderful experience. Before arriving, I had concerns based on some of the negative reviews, but found most of them to be irrelevant. We loved the staff and the hotel exceeded our expectations. Here's what you need to know: There are a lot of Mexican families vacationing at Vamar, if you're worried about it, you should probably rethink your vacation destination. The ratio is probably about 75 Mexican to 25 North American/European travelers, everyone was very friendly. The food at the buffet is good, that beings said if you're a picky eater looking for perfectly Americanized offerings, that's not what you'll find here. You will find an exceptional breakfast every morning, a nice lunch at the snack bar near the ocean, plenty of authentic buffet choices and a quaint Italian restaurant. If you're hungry for something you don't see on the menu or buffet, just ask! The staff goes above and beyond to find it. The resort property is separated by a road. The hotel is on the marina side and the villas are on the ocean side, it's a 3-5 minute walk to the beach from the hotel. We found this arrangement to be the best of both worlds. Some tips: The entertainment does occasionally go into the wee hours of the night, if you're sensitive to noise, bring earplugs. Problem solved. Tip your housekeeper and you'll return to your room to find the biggest fluffiest towels and cute wash cloth shells. Use what Spanish you know, the staff is eager to help you learn the language and it's a great opportunity to practice!

it wasn't a good hotel at all, !!!!! you go and have a dinner and you have to looking for your server to bring a drink, after I found who was my waiter I oder a coka cola, never come back with the coka cola, food is very poor!!, I never eat there!!!! and I have all inclusive!! but the food was so bad that I prefer eat out

If you are looking for 5 star look elsewhere. If the rooms were updated then it would be a superb deal. If you are on a tight budget then go for it! This resort is very very affordable. We did not do all inclusive which was good for us as we like eating outside of the resort. However, dinner buffet for two runs about $32 and includes all the alcohol you can drink... Not bad. There are lots of great restaraunts around the marina which is right next to the resort. No need for taxis to get there. The prices are great at all the places around the marina.

This was our first stay at this hotel. It is a former timeshare/condo and is currently under renovation. Was it perfect? Maybe not, but we go to PV every year for several weeks and we had our best overall experience ever at the Vamar. The staff (I mean every member of the staff!!) was committed to serving the customer. From the moment we arrived and for the full three weeks we never encountered a negative word or attitude from the staff. Mariano greeted us when we arrived and always gave a smile and all the help we needed. Claudia checked us in ensured that we had a renovated room. Every morning we ate breakfast two feet from the marina waters watching the yachts and sail boats coming and going while Marisio, Omar and Roberto waited on us. In the evening we ate at the same restaurant being treated exceptionally by Enrique, Samuel, and Salvador. Now this is the "buffet" restaurant. The buffet here is better than average and there was always a hot grill with something special being served. In the morning fresh eggs, any style including great omelets, and pancakes and french toast were being prepared fresh and fresh juices and fruit. There is also a more formal Italian restaurant where we met Daniel. The food and service was good, but there is no marina so we ate there only twice. The Hotel is divided by a road. The main part is on the marina side and across the road is the ocean side. If you like to sun yourself, you have a choice to lay by the pool/marina or walk across the street (or Mariano will take you) and lay right next to the ocean. Security at the hotel was excellent with staff like Lorenzo are very friendly yet watchful. The bar staff, Richardo, Jose, Huber, & Manuel, always served good drinks and all that you wanted. On the ocean side, Omar and Jacqueline served us such that we did not have to leave our chairs to get a drink. This is a hotel that presents a happy face. We plan to stay there again next year and looking to a 5 week stay. One suggestion; many rooms do not have balconies. Pay the few extra dollars per day to get the "superior room w/balcony".

This is a very nice, clean hotel and the staff was very curtious. The location to the Marina shops and eating couldn't be any better. We only stayed one night as we had already rented a condo for our stay but I would stay here again,.

The facility is nice enough however the music was loud in the lobby/bar area. Also we were never able to login to the internet and the hotel only offered access in the lobby. The breakfast buffet was decent.

After a few" hiccups" at check in (we were given the wrong room twice) we really enjoyed our stay. The Kitchenette room was comfortable, spacious, clean, and had a wonderful view of the Marina. We were pleased with the size of the balconies and the kitchen window gave us a view of Banderas Bay.The staff are very friendly and helpful. We had a wonderful relaxing experience for our first time in Mexico

Very much enjoyed our stay!! The staff was very helpful and made our stay memorable! Food was above average and the entertainment was a lot of fun!! The location was great as well, close walk to shopping, food, and activities. Only complaint is there is a lot of construction going on and not everything is available.

My friend and I went to this resort over our Spring Break and were presently surprised. While the first day or two we were there there was hardly anyone else there, the more it went towards the weekend the busier it got. The nice thing though is that it was never over run. The food was just average, but the Marina has plenty of great good and is really safe to walk around in. The best part hands down of the experience was the staff though. They were happy and helpful and made the experience totally worth it.

The Embarcadero Pacifico hotel was located in a great area between the Marina Vallarta and the Ocean. Rooms were very clean and staff friendly & helpful! The view from our room was beautiful looking out over one of the pools and the marina. We spent alot of time on the beach-front side just enjoying the scenery. Walked along the beach. Went walking around the Marina shops/restaurants, which was very nice. Took a bus down to Old Vallarta and had a great dinner and enjoyed some night-life. Enjoyed PV much more than Cancun or Cozumel and will likely return.

we found the staff to be very warm and friendly. the rooms were clean however lacked a phone and alarm clock/radio. staff was available to answer any questions or concerns. meals were good but had a limited menu. all the staff [...] were wonderful and made our experience a very memoirable one. we would not hesitate to return.
