Overall we enjoyed our stay. This was my 4th all inclusive resort I’ve stayed at, and I will say that the staff were the least friendly at this one. I would almost feel guilty asking them for something. This was also the first time I’ve had to sign a check every time I ordered anything even just a bottle of water, and often was sitting there for a long time waiting for it. We had a 10 and 7 year old with us and they loved the pools and the kids activities. Beach is nice, but lots of people trying to sell you things. We did see whales almost everyday right from the beach, which was amazing! Food was okay, but be prepared to wait a long time at dinner, at least we did every time we didn’t do the buffet.

Came for a week with my daughters. Lots of room at the beach and ample chairs/ umbrellas for everyone, easy surf to play in, lots of activities available. Staff were lovely everywhere on the resort. The food was great all around and Park City across the road offered other choices for a meal close by. Our room was very clean, spacious and had an amazing view. It was a wonderful place to spend a week relaxing. Would definitely recommend.

The hotel is nice. Great location BUT I had an emergency a little passed midnight and had to give my mom some medication and it took me 30 minutes to get some water. No vending machines. No water in the room. Room service No answer. Went to the restaurant where employees are working and won’t give me a glass of water!! I had to start raising my voice which I hate to do just to get some drinking water. WTH?

The overall service from the staff was terrible. Neglectful and rude. My family and I were a bit early since our flight was earlier than expected, and we’re aware of the 3 o’clock check in time. So we waited in the lobby for 3 hours. We did the “pre check in” so that our room would have “priority” to clean. At 3 we checked in and were told our room wasn’t ready and had to wait an extra hour after check in. When we asked to speak to a manager the room was magically cleaned in 5 minutes. We were given our bracelets and let go. Our room was in the 4th tower on the 4th floor and were given no directions. We had to ask one of the cleaning staff to direct us. Once we reached our room, the bracelets we were given were expired and wouldn’t unlock the room. Again I flagged down a cleaning lady to let us into our room. We checked out the next day. This place sucks.

This was our second time coming to this resort and compared to last year the quality of everything went down. Staff is not attentive, was constantly getting orders wrong; food is terrible, from dry fish and absolutely tasteless rice to salty soup. We were also extremely disappointed that we were booking an all-inclusive vacation and it appeared as such in the search, but somehow it was room & flight only. Expedia has very misleading search results these days. When we called to solve the issue we were told to provide a screenshot of the original search result (who keeps those?) and ultimately they referred us back to the hotel to figure this out. When we inquired at the hotel about the upgrade, we were quoted over $6K for the upgrade which was absolutely ridiculous and outrageous. They were also very annoying and unprofessional trying to promote their

We have stayed at this resort many times over the years. Front desk staff struggle with problem solving and timeshare staff still very pushy and dont represent brand well. Property, rooms, all getting very run down. Pool wait staff reduced and overworked. Food and beverage prices very high for quality compared to the past. Would have been nice if Expedia mentioned property was under construction. Store and deli almost non existent. The best thing about this resort are its returning members but even they seem frustrated. May not return to this resort.

We have stayed at Villa del Palmar several times. It is an older establishment, however it is clean and comfortable, and the staff are all amazing. You are right on the beach in the hotel zone so very convenient. Each room has a kitchen or kitchenette, with a grocery store within walking distance for those wanting to be budget friendly. There are activities every day for both kids and adults alike. Entertainment each evening by the pool area. There room prices are very reasonable with several options.

This is our go to hotel in Puerto Vallarta because of its central location, clean rooms with daily maid service, nice pool, good pool and concierge service all at a reasonable cost. We don’t do the all inclusive option so no comment on that. It is not 5 stars but good value.

This is a timeshare resort, So you have to play that dance. But if you get past the whole trying to be sold on a timeshare thing. This hotel was not the newest or most luxurious. But it checks a lot of boxes. We got the junior suite which came with a kitchenette. Dinning and shopping options on site and right off site. Nice pool and cheap and handy cab rides any where in PV. Staff was great, except for the time share thing. I did get trapped in the elevator for 15 minutes and had to have our shower repaired during our stay. Which, for an older hotel…. The property has a section fenced off and not being used.

We had to move 3 times to get the black mold issue dealt with in our room. This wasted 1.5 days of our vacation and was stressful. A promise was made to clean our room and it wasn’t done. The staff are very friendly and they are doing their best to keep an old building clean. The poor ventilation from the AC is causing the mold issue.
