The wifi was totally inadequate and so slow i had to use data roaming on my phone ...despite paying for premium internet. Property is in shabby condition and the gym is pathetic for a Marriott Property

It was decent experience up until the end. My buddy and I arrived, paid extra to get all inclusive (which apparently doesn't include certain alcohol like Captain Morgan??) All the bartenders at the main pool didn't want to help and seemed mad at the all inclusive pass. We were checking out Sunday, on Saturday my wife was an hour away on a trip and she wasn't feeling well so I ubered to pick her up and then ubered back to the hotel. When I arrived (at 1AM) they wouldn't let us through the gate because she didn't have wrist band, then when we finally got in, security was waiting for us to exit the car. We started walking to the room and they kept calling us to go to the front desk, the front desk guy was extremely rude and said I needed to pay an additional 2000MX so she could stay in the room for literally 7 hours until we checked out. They whole time I was there my shower flooded the room and I didn't complain just cleaned it up. I mentioned if I need to pay I want a different room and he was again mad about helping until I paid. Once I paid, he had security escort us to the original room to get our things, take the keys and go to our new room. It was honestly extremely uncomfortable, and embarrassing. I understand the policy about having to pay for an extra guest, that’s not the problem here, the problem was how we were treated and the utter disrespect during the confrontation. The fiesta was probably the most authentic food, breakfast and lunch buffet were americanized.

They have bed bugs. We visited this facility while attending a wedding, our party was a total of 120. After spending the 1st night, my wife and I woke up with over 300 bites. When we visited the front desk they mentioned they had 2 other similar cases. They immediately switched our room, though we wanted a king, only a queen option was offered - we reluctantly accepted as we had no other option. My wife whom had most of the bites, was extremely uncomfortable so decided to visit the front desk again the following day. Our objective was simply diagnosis and treatment. We met their unprofessional and extremely hostile ‘Manager’. After 20 minutes of back and forth, he agreed for my wife to see their doctor. The Doctor diagnose it to be bed bug bites, which the hotel manager refuted profusely. He challenged her diagnosis, and even asked her to our room to confirm they were bed bugs. Which wasn’t an option as we were moved the night before and the room was given to another party. The treatment was not covered. We have a planned visit with our primary provider at home for a check up. Our trip was fully paid for prior to our arrival and we were not looking for any compensation - though simply compassion and treatment as it happened on site. We’re not going to let this go.

Very limited service for drinks and food at the pool were challenging the entire time. Iron, ironing board, and coffee maker were all broken in our room and never received a working coffee maker. rooms lucky to be cleaned by 5pm when you need to get ready and go out for dinner, they may be knocking on your door. the property is fine and the location is good for traveling in both directions for other beaches like nearly equal distance to the Marina as to the downtown area in the other direction. several guests staying there for more than 30 days and have attitudes like the own the hotel and are unpleasant but that didn't bother me, it was the staff catering to them more than us even after we tipped $20 USD on first round of drinks... super disappointed and would NEVER go back there. the best service i received was the the gentlemen handling transportation and bellmen, great group and always treat every guest with kindness and genuine care. the rest of the hotel staff, including management, can learn from the bellmen!

Not what I expected

I liked the property, although Ortiz sold me breakfast for two, that was not the case when I got there

Room a little dirty when I arrived. Food just average. But still a good stay. Most of staff very friendly.

We love this hotel and return as often as possible. It is on the ocean, the pool and close enough to downtown that you can easily walk.

The location and the kids enjoyed both pools. The rooms were well maintained and clean. The only issue we had was with the shower drainage. The water drained slow.

The proximity to shopping and dining. The staff was extremely accommodating.

Staff was friendly but I had to ask for things , such as coffee for room, a few times. They offer a green option, no room cleaning in exchange for $5 . Many Sheratons have that policy. But they never told me nor is it written anyway that there is a 3 day limit on that policy. The $5 can be exchanged for Starbucks coffee. Also, their mini bar is not a usable refrigerator.A bit tacky on their part. There is a bottle of water, with a tag 25 pesos , in the room for sale. Again tacky, hotel has a store that sells water The room was nice and location is good. If you want quiet, this is not the hotel.There were weddings every night, loud music till 1 am. We will choose another hotel in future.
