I went to Puerto Vallarta to relax and get away from a demanding project. I was hoping for an experience of sun, sand, ocean and pampering. The Westin delivered on all counts. I had a lovely Club Room so could easily have a quiet breakfast staring at the expanse if ocean. The staff was very warm ...
The stay was overall very nice. The only concern was that when I booked it, the review said there was a microwave and refrigerator in the room, but that is only for the suites. This was an issue since I needed to refrigerate some medicine, but they held it is a special refrigerator for me, but I ...
Hotel was a little old but well kept. Our room was on the 4th floor so the ocean view was fantastic..The maid forgot a few things now and then but the room was clean. buffet was small but the food was good ,Buffet staff were at times slow in serving except when it came time to look after the bill. ...
We had mixed experiences with the staff. We felt one of the restaurant waiters was a little unfriendly and others that were very friendly. Hats off to Ivan, one of the pool servers that was quick to serve us and a lot of fun to talk with. The facility is very nice, but the rooms are a little run ...
My husband and two teenage children stayed at the Hyatt Ziva in PV for spring break. The staff was amazing, The food was excellent quality. They didn't forget a thing when designing this all inclusive resort. The beach is swimmable, comfortable and gorgeous.
Blasting techno rap music playing all day at the pool. I don't know if it's ever quiet, but it sure wasn't during these 2 holy weeks with the pool crowded with kids and pool games. We asked for the music to be turned down a bit and was told no, that it was being played for the "people". We were the ...

Escape the hubbub of the busy city on a day trip to the Botanical Gardens of Vallarta, just a 30-minute ride from downtown. You can also travel there aboard the El Tuito bus, which boards at Carranza and Aguacate streets. Exceptional plants and a popular restaurant welcome you to a peaceful departure from shopping and the beach.
Consider a sojourn by bus to the sleepy fishing village of Bucerias. An easy eight miles from downtown Puerto Vallarta, Bucerias boasts remarkably uncrowded strands, art galleries, dining and fishing. If you time your visit right, you can watch the local fisherman draw in their nets along the beach.

June through November is the warmest time of year with temperatures typically hovering in the low 90s. December through May is cooler, with average high temperatures in the mid-80s.
April through June is the best time of year to go to Puerto Vallarta. Hotel rates and airfares are relatively low, much like the temperature. January through March is high season, and you will find yourself paying more for a vacation during this period. Typically, July, August and September feature very hot days and occasional rain, so they are not as popular months for travelers. October is a temperate, quiet time of year preferred by visitors who are looking for a low-key getaway.
We took recommendation from friends during our first trip to Puerto Vallarta. the location was great location, near lots of the activities, restaurants, in the walkable part of Zona Romantica part of old city. Hotel was clean and basic. We didn't do much but sleep, and get coffee in lobby. If you desire bigger rooms, they had them - but our small room was fine. They cleaned hotel daily. Good common spaces with pool, several patios. Lots of water to refill bottles. We are already plotting next trip back to PV and plan to stay here again.
smooth check in, room ready, great staff. breakfast buffet was great., pool nice. great location close to bus and downtown and the beach, walking distance. close to large grocery store, restaurants.
Location of hotel is great for walking to shops and restaurants.
Hotel is in prime location and had a wonderful view of the beach. I would recommend proving a microwave to re-heat leftovers and the option for a party of 2 to have an indoor table to dine at in place the double bed. We enjoyed the large space but didn’t have a need for 3 beds (including the sleeper sofa) in our Jr Suite. King bed was very comfortable and A/C worked really well. All in all we enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back.
