Could use an update, but I still recommend this place due to location. It’s in the middle of everything.

Location of hotel is great for walking to shops and restaurants.

Great location, great staff and had a great time!

Great location! Rooms are small and outdated. Bathroom is very outdated.

We booked an upgraded room ( 2 queens with balcony) Due to flight arriving late was put in a room with 1 queen no balcony. Black mold on curtains. Couldn't sleep smelled so bad. In all, changed rooms four times to get what we were promised. All the rooms have old wooden furniture which I am sure through the years of damp, moist air have absorbed mold. Tourists call it the Mexican smell. No people, it's Black Mold. Saw it on surrounding buildings. Talked with several people who say they got colds. Mold congestion is similar to a cold, so be aware. With this hotel we also met several people who were changing rooms because this hotel overbooks and over promises. I do not recommend this hotel, but if you do stay be forewarned. Kit Henson

Booked a two bedded room three months in advance. Only a tiny double available upon arrival. Only after 30 minutes of uncomfortable argument was a solution provided. First night slept on the floor on a one inch mattress. No compensation. Only after demanding a two bedded room for the next day was one reluctantly agreed to provide. I hate having to be so demanding. . Also they insisted we check out three hours hours before the new room was available making us pack up our bags, and wait whilstvthe room was ready. “We need the room”. Industry practice would be we’s stay there until the new room was ready. The new room was nice so I accepted this without any compensation for first night.

Nice hotel but from what I understand, it has been going thru an addition/construction for over a year and hopefully it will be complete when we return next January.Facilities are very adequate, rooms are good but not great and the location is excellent. We usually walked only 1-2 blocks for all of our meals. We chose not to go "all-inclusive" because we knew that there were a bunch of really good restaurants & bars very close. It is VERY safe, and the hotel staff is very friendly & accommodating. We liked it so much that we already booked for next year.

A good, typical Mexican hotel on the beach in the romantic zone. There are not many choices directly on Los Muertos beach. Please be aware that there is a new highrise property being build bordering their north side. My room was super small and basic (especially for $160/night) without a view and major foot traffic walking by next to the stairs and elevator. All this is manageable though. Its the hammering and jackhammers that start at 8 am and were directly on my wall as the new property being build shared the wall with my room. It does not stop all day long. The hotel could not move us, and I think that they should have notified us of this prior to booking or arrival.

A terrible hotel. Very disappointing. The rooms and hallways had a rancid smell.

We have stayed here three years in a row now. Can't beat the location in the romantic zone. Hotel amenities are excellent. Nice pools, restraunt and beach Staff is very friendly. Rooms could use some updating, the beds in our room this time were uncomfortable and all rooms we have stayed in smell very musty. I think the air conditioning vents need cleaning.

It was very safe place and close to Boardwalk . We enjoyed the beach and the New Year's Eve time.

This hotel is located right on the beach, has a nice infinity pool and a very helpful staff for the most part. The restaurant is only OK compared to others in the Romantic Zone but it is convenient. Watch for the hours where a more limited menu is served. The decor in the rooms is a little garish at times but the rooms are large and clean. Ask for a room that is NOT facing the busy street as it can be a little noisy.

We had to switch rooms because the first room had visible mildew blanketing the walls and ceiling and an awful smell. The next room was tiny with an early alarm clock of construction pounding through the walls.

Pleasant stay. Family oriented. Room ac was to cold.

Everything was just the way it should be, its always a pleasure to stay here. Close to fine foods of all kinds, and within walking distance of anything you need. Reserve early, as I wanted to return in January and had to book elsewhere.

The entire staff at Playa Los Arcos is very friendly and very accommodating. Nice variety of food choices with reasonable prices. Right on the beach. Very clean. Our second stay here. We will stay again. My father-in-law stayed here every year for years. The only resort he stayed in PV.

This was my first time to Puerto Vallarta and this hotel was a steal of a deal! Hotel is beachfront, has a great breakfast, lunch and dinner buffet, very friendly staff, nice swimming pool and jacuzzis, awesome entertainment each night, and very spacious and comfortable rooms. Area is very safe. I will definitely be back!

Nice hotel in the heart of the city on the beach. All incl option for me is for all day drinks breakfast and snacks. Like to venture out for dinner as most all incl dinner food is avg at best and can get old seeing the same type stuff. Plenty to do in the area and very vibrant at night. Highly rec downtown as apposed to being stuck at outlying resorts

My wife and I stayed at the Los Arcos for 5 nights. We were upgraded upon arrival to an ocean front room for a modest price. Staff is OK but I think a bit under staffed. The one waiter serving drinks outside had to service the beach and 2 pools which led to slow service ordering and getting our drinks in a timely matter. I felt sorry for the poor guy. Hotel has great location in Zona Romantica with lots of restaurants and bars with in walking distance. Overall nice stay there.

This hotel is right on the beach, with the board walk "Malecon" as a foot step. Playa los arcos hotel is a busy establishment catering not only to foreigners but also local tourist. Local restaurants and shops are all within walking distance, rental car not needed for this location, shuttle works just fine.
