Nice place overall. Great location with some of the best views. Located about 9 minutes away from the down town area (taxi). Staff is very friendly and included breakfast was pretty good. This hotel is rated at 4.5 stars. However, compared to Secrets, which is also 4.5 stars, I'd rate Grand Miramar at 4 stars as it is not on the same level.

Spacy suites, friendly staff and helpful. Breakfast needs more varieties, espeically for vegy ppl, alot of meats for early breakfast ...better directions to get to the property

Second stay at this property and will return again. Wonderful staff, breakfast buffet, and facilities. A quiet resort with many places to enjoy your day. Great location just out of the busy town with expansive views of the Pacific. A 10 out of 5 stars. Special thanks to my new friend Alexis Garcia the concierge who was very attentive to our stay. DD

The property itself is quite nice, however its not quite a resort. The service is very poor. From a painful check in process where they attempted to charge me more for a single king bed versus the 2 double beds offered. The hotel was not accomodating at all. On the days of our trip the adults only pool and restaurant were closed, only 2 individuals were servicing the other 2 small pools. The pool manager Dominic, interrupted my wife mid order and didn't have the courtesy to apologize. Our order was wrong and took over 20 minutes before it was fixed. The hair salon, spa, and adults only pool and restaurant were shut down. When attempting to cancel the hotel when we found out all the issues there was no manager available to speak with, and Orbitz failed to help as well. Would not book again and would definitey steer anyone away from booking at this crappy hotel.

The view was simply amazing! The spa was phenomenal. The staff was excellent. Overall the property was more than I expected.

The hotel is beautiful, and our room was fantastic. We had a Jr Suite, with a balcony that overlooked the pools, buildings, and further on, the bay. Our 10 year old daughter was with my husband and me, so we could only use the family pool, which was fine. Our pool concierge was named Dominic (Dominique?), and he was extremely personable, helpful, and friendly. Our waiter around the pool was Raul, who was quite funny and very attentive. Beatrice and Ariana waited on us both in the pool area and the restaurants, both were great. Overall, the staff was great, English speaking (for the most part), so I didn't have to speak my awkward Spanglish too often. The hotel is impressive, with a lot of elegant marble in the flooring, flowers, butterflies outside, giant birds we determined to be pterodactyls (kidding...they were definitely prehistoric, though), and the occasional parrot flyover. Although you'll need to take a cab or other transport to the city, I think the hotel is worth the trip. The restaurant food was great, sometimes service was slow, but at the prices you actually pay for food vs. US prices, I have no complaints.

We were pleasantly surprised what a lovely hotel on the Grand Miramar is. Beautifully manicured grounds, warm friendly staff, fantastic location. We will return often.

The staff was very nice, but a lot of elements of the experience felt a bit off. The room felt very poorly designed, with a small space for the bed and then a giant open "living room," and the closet doors opened into the small hall and blocked access. Nothing crucial, just slightly uncomfortable. I'd emailed twice to ask about their wedding options, and didn't hear back. When we were checking in, they were understaffed, and wouldn't let us take our luggage up to the room ourselves. The concierge asked what sort of custom chocolate we'd like (milk, dark, or white,) and it never showed up. Drinks that were supposed to be on the rocks came out frozen. We called for room service around 9pm one night and the phone rang and rang with no answer. All in all, nothing worth raising a stink about, but if a hotel is aiming to be a 5 star resort, these are the sort of details that are noticed.

Great hotel. Wonderful service terrific views amazing food

Very quiet hotel with great views of the bay, but easy and cheap to get into Romantic Zone.

Amazing! Staff was so welcoming and Alexis was so helpful and knowledgeable! We would definitely come back!

The photos are accurate, this place is beautiful. Amazing. If you just want to stay put that's great. The views are incredible. Cons: Prices are US level (think $10 USD for a cocktail, $700 USD a night for a premium room) Security will not allow you to bring friends or family to the hotel. Food is expensive and low quality, don't bother if you can help it. They force you to wear hotel bracelets that neither my wife nor I wanted in our outfits. Super creepy, especially for women who tend to pay attention to their accessories...do not force me to wear your bracelets. The pool on top closes at 5pm. It can be hard to find a spot to get a drink as locations and staff are limited. In a place like this it should never be a problem to get a drink but they have not figured this out yet. It is a weirdly run place. They are suspicious of their customers. I wonder what happened that has made their policies so uncomfortable.

Great experience staying at Grand Miramar. Staff goes above and beyond to make you feel at home. Was very well taken care of while at Grand Mirarmar. Will definitely stay again.

One of the loveliest hotels we’ve ever stayed in. Beautiful rooms, breathtaking views, and the nicest staff.

Nice hotel on the hills. Not close to the beach but you enjoy the view of the ocean from the terrace pool. Amazing experience

My favorite hotel in Puerto Vallarta , staff always ready to help you, good breakfast

Dear guest, Thank you for your review. Ratings and reviews on any travel platforms represent the perception of travelers and the cost-quality ratio. Not being located right at the beach (which you can know at the time of booking), could make us be at a disadvantage with other properties, but it is right there where the charm of Grand Miramar lies: a remote place, exclusive and hidden from the hustle and bustle of the town. Our facilities and rooms, have the latest to enjoy a perfect stay and not have to leave the hotel and even your room, achieving relaxation and isolation without equal. Regards
