This resort was really relaxing. We were in the new section of the resort and on the Pent House level. The room was amazing. All rooms are ocean view so not a bad view to be had. The food was ok. Everthing was order off a menu except a couple nights were buffet. The breakfast in the morning had a buffet in one location but it was not as fresh as the made to order. The one thing that was disappointing was after every meal, all inclusive or not, you had to sign off on the items you received. The down fall to that was it took forever most times for the waiter to bring the bill. The waiters around the pool did an amazing job. You really never had to order they just kept bringing you refills. Food around the pool was really good too. There were no pool activities except black jack or water aerobics. I always liked water volleyball and other fun pool activities at the other resorts. Gave you something fun to watch even if you didn't participate. Over all this resort was relaxing however definitely no nightlife here. The shows were very mundane.

My stay at Sunset Beach was absolutely wonderful! I had a supreme deluxe double room on the 14th floor with the most beautiful view. And it was in their new tower which I loved. I had the all-inclusive package and the service was phenomenal. I even got a sparkling champagne with my room and stocked mini bar. It was rare that I had to ask for anything because the staff was on it! Special shoutout to Ruben who helped me with a birthday surprise for one of my friends. I was really grateful for him. Miguel was great too. And there was a server who worked in both restaurants during the day and night as well as with room service who was wonderful too. It was a nice clean space where I felt super safe. And it was really close to downtown. I would definitely recommend this resort!

I recently stayed at Sunset Plaza in Puerto Vallarta and had a fantastic experience. Upon arrival, I was surprised with a free room upgrade that included a private tub on the balcony - perfect for relaxing while taking in the stunning ocean view. The room itself was new, clean, and very quiet, which made for a comfortable and peaceful stay. The food throughout the resort was excellent, with plenty of variety and great flavors, although the coffee didn’t quite hit the mark. That said, the staff more than made up for it with their warm and friendly service. Overall, a great stay in a beautiful setting.

The property itself is average to any other all-inclusive resort we've stayed. Our room was definitely dated and needed some repairs but nothing critical that we needed addressed while there. Bedroom a/c fan didn't work, so it did get a little warm in the room during the day, but the a/c in the main living area was good and kept the place cool enough with the ceiling fans running on low. The safe didn't work electronically, so we had to use the key, the living room tv didn't have a remote but we never needed it on so didn't ask for one. Being rainy season, with one torrential downpour, there was some water leaking through the a/c area of the celling and it appeared has been an issue for a while as there was mildew on the ceiling around the leaky area. Food was average. While it's a small resort and in off-season there is no buffet, ordering breakfast was fairly quick and definitely fresh, so that was good. Only had one dinner at the resort and it was underwhelming. Went offsite for all other evening meals. The common areas are all in good shape and provided a good experience for us. The staff is what made the difference for us. They were all fantastic. I don't have all the names, but Jose at the lobby bar, Jerry and others at the pool were fantastic and ensured we always had everything/anything we needed. The activities guys even came around to switch out towels during the day if needed. That never happens. Huge kudos to all the staff!!

Location is great, close to everything. Beautiful beach, lots of activities, food at the hotel was very good and good variety like snacks and extras. Property is very clean, rooms are very clean, service was excellent. I think it is a great deal.
