Hotel was good overall. Most staff were great and attentive. No hot water whatsoever in the room. When I notified management they sent someone to “verify”. What bothered me even more than the lack of hot water was that management wasn’t honest about it and kept giving me the runaround with b******t. I later found out it was a known issue and other guests had the same issue and same reaction. If hot water is a deal breaker I would suggest to book elsewhere. Management should be ready for this concern and at least act like they care.

Incredible property! Extraordinary Staff! Service was top notch from the moment we checked into the resort until the moment we left. Highly recommend. Looking forward to our next stay.

Very clean and modern. There was a lot of construction happening so not the most peaceful. Staff was a bit rude when bringing guests over. Food was good but not anything to rave about. Cannot beat the location.

Great for beach and pool. Here is what I did not like:1. Upon entering the lobby it’s a sauna. It was so hot. And then it took forever to check in. So much paperwork. 2. After you are brought to someone to “explain “ property. However they want to set up appt to tell you more and hopefully timeshare. They tried again next day to try another appt. 3. In room coffee was gross . 4. At the beach each day I was approached by solicitors every 3-4 minute. I’m there to relax not to be sold to. They were selling, hard, jewelry, Shaw’s, paintings, massages, pot, pipes, Coke the drug, wood work, sunglasses, purses, dresses,. You name it they were out selling. Why the resort allows this I have no clue. The bartenders and waiters were super nice at the beach club as well as the roof top. I wish the had a better selection of food. The food I ate was good just not a good variety to chose from.

Staff are very friendly but service is horrible. Second time staying here. The check in process both times is longer than any hotel I have ever stayed at. You just come off an airplane and want to get to your room but they want to delay you selling memberships etc. bar service at the pool is a disaster. No one at the bar and they take forever to respond to you and to make your drinks. If you have a cabana wristband they will flat out ignore you even though your cabana server tells you to go to the bar while you are in the pool. The service by far is the worst part of this hotel. Outside of that the hotel is beautiful and well maintained and the staff are all extremely nice and helpful. Just everything is slow

It’s great location, nice beach property with things to do and relax. Also all the new updates coming, it’s fantastic place to relax, get a way from everything and enjoy your time. Staff was nice, good English and you get all things you want. Plus you can’t beat the amazing prices.

I like the atmosphere I like being around all the other key people take a couple hours it was a lot of fun and however is the one thing I didn’t like was that when I got there my room was a double bed room or a room with two queen beds and I wanted one king bed but we didn’t arrive until 1130 at night so they probably gave away the other bet however he did to upgrade my room to room with the Jacuzzi for six hunt our firm think $300 extra which was fine fine with me I I I I have that room last time I was there I loved it so anyways good place to stay

Mantmar the pool is cloudy and dirty. Also checking out there was an issue

The staff was very nice. Our housekeeper was friendly and at the Beach Club Norma and Xilo were fantastic. Very attentive and helpful. Our room was large and very clean. Bathroom amenities were great. Only had two issues. Noise between rooms and towels were rough. New to upgrade the towels and maybe thicken doors beteeen rooms.

Great LGBT resort. No attitude from the staff. Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful. Getting to the beach isn't easy. You have to walk down a long stairway, then down a short alley to the Mantamar Beach Club across the street. We ate several times at Mantamar. Everything was excellent. The staff, again, were great. The pictures make the pool area look larger than it is, but it is still a good size pool.

Very well kept hotel that is right next to the beach! I enjoyed the whirlpool that was on my balcony. The bed was very very comfortable! The staff where all very pleasant and helpful!

We checked in, it was a regular check in, until the staff wasted at least 30 minutes trying to sell timeshare. Finally we got to our room, it was pretty bad. The ceiling fan’s lights had NO cover, so we’re literally staring at this glaring light when we’re laying in bed. The glass sliding doors had drops and spots of cement or concrete on them. The kitchen sink had a huge dent in it. The kitchen faucet was dripping all the time that it was very difficult to sleep. The bathroom faucet had no water pressure for the hot water. Actually hot water was NEVER coming through. The room was supposed to have a balcony, it had Juliette balcony,the really narrow one, we couldn’t put a chair to sit outside. And when we went down to ask the supervisor if we could have a different room, he didn’t seem to care, and asked us to check the next day, so we did, and got the same answer that they have NO rooms available to switch us but suggested we check every morning, so checked one more time, and again we were told they have NO rooms to switch us. Needles to say, we will NEVER stay at that resort EVER again. And I’m gonna tell all my friends about my horrible experience at the Almar resort. VERY VERY VERY disappointed travelers.

Great hotel and staff is very friendly. It would be nice if the pool and the beach was connected with the hotel rather than walking to the pool via a dirty back street. Otherwise a great stay.
