Just returned from an 8 day all inclusive family vacation with grandchildren aged 8,10 12 years. Perfect weather, beautiful resort property. A 3.5-star resort with truly 5-star staff — we will absolutely return! We just returned from a wonderful family week at the Melia Puerto Vallarta. There were so many things that made this an amazing vacation, but above all — the staff are exceptional. Hector in Guest Services was very responsive and checked in throughout the week. Eduardo helped with bags, and always had a smile when we passed through the lobby. At check-in Paulina and her manager Guadalupe were amazing. Guadalupe gave me her email if we had any needs. We bought the premium package and would absolutely do so again. The upgraded breakfast options, a la carte access, and top-shelf alcohol made a real difference. We ate breakfast every morning at Mole & Tacos (premium) and were so impressed by Karen. The bar team — poolside and swim-up — learned our preferred drinks (kids and adults) and always greeted us with smiles and “Hola señor… same drinks today?” Two other staff who made our week memorable were Jose and Ramiro who were with the Melia rewards program. We met with Ramiro, and genuinely appreciated that there was no pressure at all — just information. We even met with Ramiro twice more for follow-up questions, and he couldn’t have been more helpful. It’s a great program to check out for regular travellers. Great food (especially at Mole & Tacos and The Fish House), fun entertainment, and a perfect marina location with a great Thursday market nearby. Tons of pool chairs, fun waves at the beach. GREAT!!!

The resort grounds were beautifully maintained. Our room was clean although a little dated. Front desk, housekeeping, and restaurant staff were very nice, but bartenders acted inconvenienced every time we asked for a drink. Also the beer and cocktail cups were very small.Food at the resort was good.
