I love it here. I am disappointed every time I tried reservations at the restaurants I was told it was full. Our keys to the room had issues. The staff was helpful and we still had fun.

We had a wonderful time in PV. However the property was just older, needs upgrades, staff didn’t respond to some issues w/ had w/ our room and we had to make multiple calls, not many amenities at this property & not many food options. Overall, Starr was very nice, food we did eat was good, and the area of this property was close to the excursions we had.

We had an amazing time at the Melia Puerta Vallarta. I would definitely stay again.

Property is in a good location and good condition. Only 10-15 minutes from airport.

DO NOT STAY HERE! We had an issue with our reservation and attempted to resolve before the trip, but the hotel was poor at communicating and responded the same day as arrival (2 days later). Once we arrived to the resort, we received no welcome and checking in took 30-45 minutes due to the previous issue. Front desk staff, Isaac, could not locate our reservation and required assistance. After we were finally able to check in, we were advised our room was not ready. While waiting for the room to be prepared, we walked around the pool area of the resort and ate a restaurant near the pool. To our surprise, the view of the resort and the food at the restaurant weren’t the best. Upon arriving to our room, we received a room with double beds and a bunk bed when we requested a King Size bed. The room had a strong mildew smell and many bugs flying around. Alberto was sent to our room to show us other options on the resort, but neither were of satisfaction. The resort is due for major updating. We ended our reservation the same day as arriving and relocated to a different resort. This was a second experience with a Melia property and there will not be a third.

This is not a 4.5 star resort. It is a 2 at best. Only 2 restaurants, food was cold, when taken off the grill they would not give you hot cooked entree. Staff would make you take cold sitting out food. Only good thing was breakfast omelette.

Overall I like it the only thing I didnt like was the fact it says it has 4 restaurants which basically it has 3 locations they all provide the same food

we have always liked our stay at Melia (4) times. Waiters not so friendly, very forgetful, no silver ware on tables, swim up bar closed. Covic safety measures very good. Beverages not restocked in refig on a daily bases. Only one elevator was working. Overall we still enjoyed our stay. Nightly shows were very good. No live or DJ music for dancing was missing. Loved our evening rains from our weather though.

This was my first time staying at the Melia. Overall it was a pleasant experience. Certain services continue to be limited due to COVID but we found that there was still plenty to to do and see. Pros: Great location (close to airport) Friendly and helpful staff Hotel grounds beautiful and well kept Fun nightly show in the theatre Variety of food options Kids club Cons: Long wait time at check in (over an hour) Long lines at times in the restaurants and snack bars My recommendation would be to allocators staff at the front desk to streamline the check in/check out process, which would make the hotel go from being a pleasant experience to an excellent experience.

Staff was wonderful, pool area is amazing, ocean front room.

Rooms are extremely mouldy, cant put clothes in any of the dressers, extremely poor service long lines for food, very disappointed called to switch hotels and was told we couldn’t

Aged property with very few amenities in rooms (beds hard, minimal towels, 1 small trash can), challenging to get water or coffee without walking all over the premise. The buffet lines are understaffed so you have to wait a while to get food. The beach and views are beautiful and very good service when seated. Don’t think I’ll be back though.

The staff was so amazing as usual. This is our favorite vacation.
