The location is great if you want to be central but how this hotel has a four star rating is beyond me. It seems the facilities have not been updated since the 80s. It was dirty. The staff were not very friendly nor helpful. We didn’t have any facility in our room to boil water which we needed to sterilise baby bottles. The best solution the staff could suggest was that we upgrade to a suite with a kitchenette. So we paid for the upgrade and an hour later were told the room was actually not available until the next day. So we were refunded the extra night we paid for in hotel credit because apparently it would take the bank one month to issue a refund. When we finally got to our master suite we found that there was construction happening right outside the room which made it near impossible to get our baby to sleep.
We loved Playa Los Arcos ! Being that it was our first trip to PV , we wanted to stay somewhere on the beach within walking distance to everything and this is the perfect spot for that . It’s located right on the beach next to the pier . We had booked a package but decided to upgrade to an ocean front room for an extra charge and it was well worth it . The rooms are very simple but clean and comfortable with everything you may need . We never did eat at the hotel restaurant but the bar was great , with specials daily . Everyone on staff was extremely friendly, helpful, and accommodating. It was great to walk out to the beach and have a lounge chair and umbrella set up for you . If you’re not into laying on the beach, there are plenty of loungers available by the pool and jacuzzi which also have a great beach view . We would definitely stay here again !
We stayed at Playa Los Arcos Sept 15-22, 2019. This was our first stay at this hotel. We were looking for a boutique authentic mexican hotel and this is exactly what we got. The hotel is older but the location is excellent. Tons of great bars and restaurants near by. We bought the all-inclusive package, although we definately would not do that again. The food was good, not much variety though from day to day. My only complaint about this hotel is the "all-inclusive drinks". Anyone that purchases the all-inclusive package is only allowed bottom of the barrel "no-name" liquor. For example, if you want bacardi rum or pacifico beer you have to pay extra for it. No coconut rum at all - unless you pay for it. Its not that they don't have decent liquor, they just wont allow anyone with the all inclusive package to drink it unless you pay for it (full price). That was a disappointment. The wifi at the hotel is excellent everywhere. Our room was nice and clean, the staff were really great. I loved this hotel and most definitely will be back, but I will not choose the all-inclusive package again.
We love the staff at Los Arcos even when we are not guests we keep coming back for the wonderful food and staff.. We ask for Felix every time we go he is the best the best waiter we've had the shows are an extra special treat..
Have stayed there for over 4 years, great service, nice rooms, always get a room on the 1st floor i.e. 137 139 etc, these are the ones that face the swimming pool and they have a BIG balcony, 2 queen size beds and plenty of room in these units, the entire staff are the greatest at helping you with anything, you step out of the hotel and you're right on Olas Atlas St the best place to be for shopping and everything else, walking distance to the melecon is about 20 minutes or 15 depending on how fast you walk, on the way there there's a lot of places to eat, drink or shop
I have been coming to this sweet hotel for over 10 years now. I try to come 2x’s a year. The service is excellent!!! The employees always remember me which makes it so special. I generally come solo and I always feel safe. I highly recommend this hotel. If the noise of kids playing in the pool bothers you they have another hotel across the street for adults only. Come and enjoy the flavor of Mexico!!!! I am coming back in November and can hardly wait.
Hotel Playa Los Arcos is not a five star hotel but the ownership and management have made consistent improvements at their property over the last several years. Their employees are friendlier and the service is excellent. The one thing you can't beat though, is the location. It's right on the beach, in a safe neighborhood with tons of restaurants and shopping just steps out the door.
This is a family oriented resort. The bathroom that we had was small but adequate for our needs. The pools, there are 4, are excellent with one designated for adults only. The staff is excellent! We've been coming to Puerto Vallarta for over 20 years and have stayed in many places including the Marriott and Paradise Village in Nuevo Vallarta but what we really enjoyed was being downtown close to many, many restaurants and within walking distance of everything we wanted to do. Finally the spa is incredible, well worth every penny for a massage, We will definitely be staying here on our next trip. As a side note, Uber is alive and well in PVR and rates are better than the taxi's.
3rd time staying at this hotel over the years. Always had a pleasant experience. Staff are friendly, pools are well maintained. Right in the heart of everything so can take a nice walk to shops easily. Taxis pretty much line the roads around the hotel. This time we have the room with 3 double beds. Air con works a treat and bathroom is massive.
My bf and I got a massage with Sochi and Pat and it was amazing. They also had the little fishies that eat dead skin off of your feet, it was an exhilirating experience! Thank you Los Arcos Spa for taking care of us.
