location, comfort, quality and secure. great staff,

I hoped it would be good. We were looking for an adult only for a nice quiet vacation. This was our 3rd time at the Golden Crown. We were very disappointed and will likely not go back. I was hoping for good things so this could be our go to resort for all our adult friends. Unfortunately it fell far, far short. For breakfast and lunch the only option was the buffet. Food at the buffet was outdoors and was often covered in flies and bees. The hot food was never hot enough and the cold food was not cold enough. It is dangerous and unappetizing at these temperatures. Oddly, the buffet food at the family oriented sister resort was indoors and very hot. We paid extra money to get away from the screaming children but had to go over there and suffer all the noise to get some hot food that was not covered in flies. Beer was never cold enough and cocktails were poorly prepared. Our room smelled like a sewer much of the time and was nauseating. We had to turn off our air conditioning since the smell was coming from there. We had to either be too hot or gag from the putrid smell. Construction noise was every day and started around 8 am and went on well into the evening. Servers at the self service and substandard outdoor buffet expected tips and started ignoring us since we felt that nothing there was worth a tip and tips are also supposed to be included. We did have a few good (and bad) meals at some of the a la carte restaurants and tipped very well when service and food warranted it.

The French and Italian restaurant was spectacular the other restaurants were just okay. The staff was so helpful and gave great directions. They were continually painting and working to keep the hotel looking nice. The worst part of the trip was the transfer by gray line this is the 2 nd time in 3 years that no one showed up to take us back to the airport. From now on we will use a cab. The transfer was expensive through gray line and the cab was cheaper .

From the minute we walked in to when we left, it was awesome. Carlos with a smile and Hola with drink in hand for us. Our room was ready and name on wall. This resort is a little older but well maintained. The food and service great. The bartenders had our drinks before we asked. Service was what makes this a great place, that is why you run into lots of return guest. Hated to leave, but had to get back home. I will be coming back again. Doug (UT)

It was nice, staff was friendly and helpful. But there was a lot of construction going on so very noisy.Activities at pool were really fun,the excercise with Carla was really good and fun. Also the foam in pool.Maid service was excellent, and so I tipped her as she deserved.Maids name was Rosario

Fantastic ocean view from balcony. Jacuzzi in room was an added bonus - definitely worth it! The food and drinks were great!! Top shelf alcohol (just ask!) The port is within walking distance and so are some local shops. Would definitely recommend!

The pictures and video we saw before going are high quality and a little deceiving. The hotel staff was great! The hotel is much older than it appears. The food was bland and hit and miss with our group. Breakfast was very good. Overall we had a good time. While we made friends with a few of the vendors expect to be asked to purchase items nonstop all day long.

The hotel location is great! The beautiful beach is right at your footsteps with beach cabanas, cool bars, a large swimming pool and great views to the ocean. Make sure you get a oceanfront room. The food was excellent, healthy and fresh. The service was great by the front desk, the maids, waiters and bartenders. Everyone made sure you were happy. The place was very clean and well kept.

We will definitely come back to this all-inclusive resort right on the beach in Puerto Vallarta. It's a extremely good value for all you get. We took our 3 young adult children and all had a great time. Hadn't been to Mexico in about 20 years because of concerns of drinking water, safety, etc., but decided to give it a shot based on recent positive feedback from friends. There's plenty of bottled water around, but we also drank the water, juices, ice included, served in the restaurants and was never a problem for any of us. They provide bottled water and sodas in the room too. We ventured out to the shopping mall nearby where the cruise ships dock which is a short walk from the resort and felt safe. The best way to describe the resort is like a cruise ship, only on dry land with not only food, but drinks included. The free nightly club entertainment is short of top-notch, but very fun for all ages, and only an hour long. We stayed at the Crown Paradise Golden which is for adults, but they have the adjacent Crown Paradise Club for families with kids and it's the same kind deal depending on the age makeup of your family. We experienced nothing negative and will highly recommend it to family and friends.

Nice place the buffet was smaller but you have full access to the larger one

95% of hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. We had a great view of the ocean on the 6th floor (Golden). When we arrived we were greeted with some topical drinks and quickly checked in. The bellman Carlos was very helpful showing us our room and the features of the hotel. Air conditioning in the room struggled to keep the room at a comfortable temp in the afternoon. Pools were great and they had activities in the afternoon (bingo, volleyball, etc.). You have to get up early to secure yourself a place by the pool. Housekeeping was initially below average but after talking to housekeeping and a tip things improved. Food and alcohol was hit and miss. Some items were excellent others were not good at all. Same for the 5 restaurants. Hotel maintenance was questionable as were the elevators.

We really enjoyed our experience here. The hotel was clean and updated. The staff was extremely helpful, Jose was a fabulous server. The food was good. Bed was not comfortable, but still better than nothing. Loved that the beach was so close and downtown and the airport was a short drive. Definitely would recommend to our friends and family and would stay there again.

staff, food, drinks, accomodations all around it's the place to stay.

Beds are very uncomfortable, bathrooms stink, you don't get what you reserve, very hard to communicate with staff members due to language, gym is terrible, it reminded me of my childhood neighborhood gym, oh let's not forget about the beach and the pool .. old people to down at 2am and reserve all the chairs and beds so even if you try to get down early your out of luck.. take my advise maybe spent little bit more and get way better experience.

Not a lot of restaurant choices or a lot to do. If you reserve a bed on the beach do it early like 7am, and be prepared to never relax cuz ppl walk by selling stuff ALL DAY LONG. It was nice to take advantage of the cheap massage tho and cute sun dresses but gets old fast! Pool activities they put on were fun, we had a couples massage booked but ended up being over on the kids side outdoors, no thanks! Was great for what we paid tho for 4 days!

Food and drinks were plentiful. Hotel was always being cleaned and prepared for the next event. Would recommend hotel to others and am planning a return trip for myself.

If the American discount chain Motel 6 were to build a 'resort' - The Crown Paradise would be it. The hotel facilities peaked in the early 80's about 30 years ago and have seen no updates since. The bathroom does not drain well so a stiff sewage smell abounds. The bed is comfy but only a thin blanket is provided. If you turn the A/C of you wake up in a pile of sweat. The hotel is an all inclusive - we stopped eating there the very next day. They hotel has restaurants which is simply prettied up buffet food. And oh the buffet... The food is on calibre of eating salted cardboard. They have assumed that since mostly Caucasians stay there - they must recognize anything past salt as too spicy. So to hell with the spice. Let just give them salt and sugar. In all fairness- you know that feeling you get when you purchase a room online and you have the gut feeling of "Crap - I shouldn't have done that..." I too had that feeling - but was didn't cancel the reservation. So the upside was I got to eat fantastic street food in PV instead.

This year was better than last. The hotel advertises "no spring breakers" and that is one reason we have come there many times. Last year was terrible with loud, rude spring breakers. This year better but still had some out of control kids who were drinking too much and making it miserable for we returning customers.
