Hotel was nice enough but if you prefer to be out in town a taxi is 20-30 minutes. Not too much to do in this area other than go to Marina

Good stay. Third time at this hotel and would go back again

Good location near marina and shops and good eating places

Great stay. Very large and clean pools. Front desk was accommodating. Bell hop Pedro was the best. Food and restaurants are excellent. Wednesday salsa night was fun. Oxxo store right across the street, busses every 10-15min. Great location

I have stayed at this resort many times and it always is a wonderful place to stay. The location is only 5 minutes from the airport and downtown Puerto Vallarta. The staff is friendly and very helpful. We love the Westin Resort and have already started planning another trip next year.

Beautiful hotel and pool area. Staff was extremely helpful and courteous. Will definitely return.

We enjoyed the hotel and staff as soon as we arrived at the Westin. They allowed us early checkin and made our stay very enjoyable.

The Hotel does have everything one needs for an amazing experience in the sun. We were on the 5th floor and loved the partial view of the ocean. We had never been to Mexico before and will be returning. We do not drink alcohol, so the inclusive didn't seem right for us this time. The pools and beach are exactly like the pictures! Clean and wonderful, as were the surrounding grounds. They do work hard on that. Which is where we spent most of out time. Checking in did take some time and I did purchase breakfast and wifi package, but when I arrived they didn't have that for us. So I was frustrated with that. There are areas where the wifi is free in the hotel. So it all worked out. The room is spacious and the chair that had a tear in it was replaced right away. I took pictures of the room before we touched it. The hotel will charge for any damage. So notify them asap. The Westin is close to the Marina, we walked everyday to different places to eat, shop, and see all the boats docked. It is close to bus stops, or you can take a cab to Malaki beach. Not sure if that is spelled correctly. It was a half a day excursion to go into town. There is a Costco, Sam's Club, Walmart. Everyone is so nice and helpful. Remember to offer our guides bottled water, or a coke to drink. Everything is so reasonable that they entire family could eat for about $25 US. Breakfast was even less. Thought it was helpful to have the currency App US/Peso. Not all institutions followed the ratio exactly

The check in process was terrible. I arrived early so I had to wait, which didn't bother me because the friendly staff kept my bags while I went for lunch. I came back at 3:30 pm, thirty minutes after the check in time and my room was not ready yet. After waiting another 10 minutes on the front desk they finally gave me another room. The room did not match what I booked. They let me know that and they even gave me free breakfast during my stay. As I mentioned, the room was different from what I booked. They said the room was even better but to be honest it looked worse. The door lock was broken, the bathroom did not have air extractor, and it did not have hair dryer. We went for a wedding so my wife was angry because of this. Again, the friendly staff solved the dryer problem. The worst thing was the bathroom. There is a window between the toilet and the beds. This window did not close completely, therefore anyone in the room could hear everything very well, and remember there was no air extractor. There was a killing step to exit the bathroom, which they tried to solved with a red tape to help you notice it. The toilet did not flush correctly and not enough light inside the bathroom. I did not like the food in the hotel. Again, friendly staff was excellent but they took an hour to served my food!! The food presentation was good, but flavor below the average. Freshness was terrible, guacamole was brown, pico de Gallo was wet and warm. Everything very expensive.

This was our 5th visit to PV. We love staying in the marina area. As a change, we decided to stay at the Westin. First, the staff is very, very pleasant. However, the hotel has seen better days. I have a professional acquaintance who stayed here many, many years ago and did not like it, I should have listened. The grounds are well maintained, the pool area is nice looking and clean. The chairs are, for lack of a better word, "dingy" looking. The lounge chairs nearest the ocean are just old -- and very uncomfortable. Then, the first day we ate lunch at the pool bar/area. The food was marginal, one salad and chips/salsa to share and . . . ice tea. The kicker was that we were relaxing and getting refills of ice tea but we were charged for every refill (in a plastic solo cup) --- 5 ice teas! No complimentary refills. A really big deal, no -- but then again, it's the little things sometimes. No free wi-fi at the pool. We did not eat one breakfast or one dinner at the hotel, plus, it's more interesting to go to the marina and explore or better yet, old town for food. Before heading out at night, we'd have a drink in the lobby bar. Boring. No music, soccer on the t.v. and quite frankly, with very limited exceptions, we were the only ones in the bar. We saw a roach the size of a quarter on the floor in our room one night. I can deal with all the tiny ants, roaches, a bit more unsettling.

Every night of our stay loud booming music till after midnight. We would not stay here again.

My experience with the hotel was an pretty good experience. The hotel is on the beach. The restaurants on the hotel are okay on variety of foods. The El Palmar has THE best service for breakfast, lunch or dinner. The breakfast buffet at the El Palmar is great. The Lobby Bar is convenient for something chill. Everything is very close to the hotel. The hotel gives an incentive of $5.00 to use at any restaurant on the hotel premises for individuals who put a sign outside of your door if you decline cleaning services for the room. One of my dinners were like $2 which was very lovely. Overall an okay beach hotel. Also like 7-8 minutes away from the airport.

Our experience at the Westin Resort & Spa was one of the best ever. Even though we didn't spent much time at the hotel, staff members were very polite. We would definitely return and recommend this resort.

Service was impeccable. Room was clean and comfortable. Pools and beach relaxing.

Great food, great service! Hotel has pool activities for guest. About 15 min ride to Malecon downtown, but there are several malls, casinos, restaurants near the property. Definitely close to airport

Excellent place nice people ! Ir leaky recomendare it!

PROs: large room but dated, great views CONS: loud construction noise, largest pool out of service, food uninspired

its great. just had pool. renovations. that we didnt know about. otherwise. . its excellent.

Terrific stay, i enjoyed myself. All staff is helpful and friendly..

The hotel was a very good option. It was well maintained, the staff were very accomodating and the restaurants were good. The hotel is relatively close to the downtown area yet it had acces to a private and safe beach. And best of all the kids loved the hotel. I will definitely be returning.
