This was my first trip and I absolutely want to come back! Staff were very friendly. David the bartender in the little bar was fantastic! Food was good, loved the a la carte and the Spanish coffee! Enjoyed most of the nightly shows and highly recommend getting a massage!
Disappointed by a few things......the food first of all. Buffet was bland, the selection was small and unchanging. We tried the "specialty" restaurant....we both had sick stomachs all that night. The room had a very hard bed, but they will put a foam topper on for you. We asked to move due to the construction and they did move us to another. The good - the staff was great. Although many do not speak or understand English. Location is good, walking distance to the Malacon (30/40 minutes)
I travel 3 hours with my partner & 3 month old child, it was advertised with parking but this wasn't the case which would have been fine. I was spoken to rudely when I asked for help as I needed to get my child's equipment out of the car, they would not allow me to make my child a bottle. I decided not to check in to this hotel & paid for a new hotel where staff were helpful & polite. I would highly recommend anybody to stay clear of this DIVE!!! To let a child cry & go hungry is shocking behaviour
Well i have been very slow in sending my review of this Resort but when we went in January of 2017 we were pleasantly surprised by the charm of this Hotel it's not very big but location was GREAT and it was right on the beach.I really have to give a huge shout out to the lobby bartender David he was just fantastic and makes mojito's from scratch DELISH!! Now for smokers like myself you are able to smoke at the bar and in the lobby as it is all open air to me that was a plus..... the food at breakfast is good and pretty much the same as all inclusive anywhere.....entertainment is every night some nights good some lame.... they do need to do more variety on the menu at lunch and dinner but overall it was a very good for the price and i would recommend this resort and i will return again
I have stayed at LP four times now...the last in January of 2017 and I am going back for a quick week November 5th...the staff is wonderful and if there is anything wrong with your room, they will fix it....we did have to wait for our room until the next day however they gave us a room that we found OK....did I mention how great the staff was.....did not "expect" tips but were very grateful....the beach vendors were great...Leo on the wave runner... not only gorgeous but a nice young man....cant wait to go back....
The experience was real good but the best experience was with some of employees expecially Martin giving you a warm welcome, Daniel Concierge was very professional and courteous at the front desk and at the restaurant I can mention many two of them were excellent Luis and Azucena, and offering drinks at the swimming pool Guadalupe and Francisco.I do have to mention the hotel management can do better. Expecially they announce the check out date at 12:00 and they scratch off the time and write 11:00.
The Sea River resort is only 17 rooms inside the another resort. Our check in time was supposed to be 1500. Our room was not ready, they told us it would be at least an hour before we could check in. We sat in the lobby for an hour in 92-degree temperature with 99% humidity. The heat index was 110-degrees. We were with our two children who have been traveling for over twelve hours stuck in the hot lobby of the hotel. We finally got checked in and had to wear wrist bands to allow us to use the pool of the other resort. Our room was hot, the Air Conditioning did not work, the fridge did not work, the safe did not work,and there was mold in the closet and on the ceiling. The television had no remote and only played Spanish channels. It was supposed to be set up to sleep four people. It did sleep four but the issue was that there were two double beds side by side in one room, no privacy from the kids. We tried to speak to the manager to address the issues we were having but were told that the manager would not be in until Monday. After complaining several times they finally sent a non-English speaking worker to show us another room. This room was not much better. The AC did work a little, and the fridge cooled down our drinks some but not much. We tried to get something to eat but were told that since we did not purchase the all inclusive plan for $150 USD per person per day that we were not allowed to eat or drink on the property. There was a charge to use the Wifi of $10 USD a day, Even ice cost money. The following day we checked out of the resort forfeiting our money we had paid for the week. Luckily we were able to get the resort next door which was fantastic. The Villa Del Palmar treated us wonderfully, they gave us a great room, with freezing cold AC, the room was spotless, separate sleeping for our kids, they treated us with dignity and respect. All of the staff were very gracious and inviting. They had three restaurants on the property and the food was outstanding. We made the mistake of leaving the Sea river without calling the AFVclub before we left. Because we checked out before I could call them AFV could do nothing to help us out. If it were possible to give this resort a negative number I would. PLEASE DO NOT STAY AT THIS RESORT.
This hotel is a good deal, food decent, friendly staff, rooms clean but dated. The beds are very hard but you can ask for a foam topper. Stayed there this last New Year (16-17), this time when we arrived we were hit with pushy time share sales within 10 minutes of check in. The man took us around to show us where things were located and then BAM. I think now the only thing that will keep me going back (if at all) are the morning omelets. Adult pool is clean, pool bar service is good, I stay away from the beach due to the independent vendors. I would say that this time I was disappointed.
Opinion: The rooms are clean. Geckos eat the spiders and bugs! This hotel is All Inclusive. There is an omelette station for breakfast. The buffet closes at 11:30, until 1:30, and lunch is served until 5, then the buffet is closed until 6:30. There is a snack bar by the kids pool where you can have french fries and pizza. There are two pools. One is for adults only, but it is hard to enforce that rule. Kids were always in the adult only pool. So were babies, crying babies. I mention it because you can have a massage, poolside, but with the excessive noise, it would not be peaceful. This hotel is used by Nationals, you will learn Spanish. Disappointment: The downside to this hotel is the "bellhop" who helped me to my room on the first day. I think it was a timeshare hawker. I was called on the phone (in my room) and told the taxi was waiting for me, to take me to Garza Blanca. This happened 3 times. The guy knew my name and room number, even though I didn't tell anybody my room number. There are 2-3 timeshare hawkers in the lobby all day and are very pushy. Saying "no" did not work, saying "not interested in seeing Garza Blanca" did not work. You must leave the lobby, poolside or onto the street. They earn 50 dollars for each person that they send. Be firm, and rude. That's what worked for me. Reason I won't return: One thing I did not like about this hotel is the wifi only works well, in the lobby, and that's where the timeshare hawkers are.
Las palmas hotel has the best beach front of Vallarta they give us the best room the one at the beach front i love the briss and the sound of the ocean sun rain wind every thing you wanted for vacation food was great bar frendly fruit fresh great coffee my god the best pool for kids great and service outstanding we take the bus at the corner of the street 7 pesos for each one great ride and safe ask driver where to get of to walk at malecón we love it next year back to las palmas ps:::::; if you go from July to November take plenty of Benadryl ointment for mosquitos you will remember Vallarta and me they don't have it in Mexico please do it for you and your family
