We stayed in late January 2025. Great things: 1- It was the best whale watching from a resort we have ever seen. 2- the Ekinox bar and its fantastic waiter Oscar. We had great drinks and great service 3. Excellent ceviche for lunch Bad things: 1. Music and speakers were really loud. We didnt like going in the main pool area because we had to cover our ears. We could also hear the music in our room (11th floor). 2. Only 2 restaurants and the buffet open forn dinner. We had thought the fish restaurant would also be a dinner option sonwe felt more limited. Tips: pay extra for premium room or Ekinox access. It had sun as early as 10am. The lower chairs didnt until almost 1pm. We always got to dinner by 645pm. Never had to wait for a table. Shows dont start until 930pm. It was late for us so we never went.

The pacific water was very dangerous during this time of the year. The beach was pretty much inaccessible. If you book a beach facing room you are likely not getting any sleep due to the loud sound of splashing waves.
