staff attentive. clean rooms and comfortable! In the 7 days I was there they did have scheduled electricity outage 3 times. Food was average. Not many snacks to choose from at the beach and same every day!

Everything about this place was amazing from the staff to the food. I’ve stayed at some of the bigger resorts like the Rius in cancun so if that’s what your looking for this isn’t it. Hacienda Buenaventura has more of a personal feel to it. Definitely smaller and older but I think that’s what makes it special and gives it character. Food was amazing and I think it’s because they’re not cooking for thousands of guests each meal so the quality is the best I’ve had at an all inclusive resort. Staff was awesome and everyone we interacted with was nice and they remembered us each day. I would definitely stay here again

The front desk staff was amazing. Lara and Jezicka were very helpful and nice. When we had a small issue they took care of us which made a huge impact on our stay. The bell hops were very helpful with taxis and reconditions for things to see and do. Overall is was a wonderful experience.

The hotel is located in a great area but the rooms itself need some updating and remodeling I understand the concept of keep it rustic looking but it needs some work done broken tiles in the bathroom, mold in the shower area, damage furniture, room door with a huge gap where it doesn’t close right makes you think someone can open the door with a hard push. Food was not good they don’t have a big enough buffet service was not great either and they have waiters couple of times had to request my own utensils and drink refills and I just don’t want to keep going.

This property was HORRIBLE. I WOULD NOT RECOMEND THIS PROPERTY EVEN IF IT WAS FREE. I'm serious when I say this. I paid almost 600 bucks (expedia charged me for 2 people and it didn't give me the option to put one guest when booking and when i showed up to the property, I was charged for two people) - reason #1 why i leave a bad review. -reason #2: the hotel had NO AC. It was a tropical theme meaning everything was open so the lobby did not have even a fan. It was very hot and humid and miserable. Well at least the rooms had AC? Wrong! The building is so old the AC unit didn't even work so sleeping was impossible. There was mold everywhere through the building and rooms. -reason #3: the food. Since it was a tropical theme, the hotel thought it would be a great idea to let the buffet be in the OPEN where flies and bugs were constantly flying in. The food was soggy and horrible. There was not even a staff near the food to manage the hygiene. Oh if you want steak or any quality fresh made food you have to over pay for it but that defeats the purpose because it is an ALL INCLUSIVE HOTEL!!!. I ended up getting food poisoning and spent a whole day in my room trying to recover and i had to basically wet the bed to make it cool since the room's ac did not function properly. I told the staff several times regarding the ac and they did nothing. -reason #4: the alcohol. Not suprised but they used the cheapest alcohol and the bar was so broken down it did not look appealing.

We had a very wonderful experience with Hacienda Buenaventura. As first timers in Mexico we had an authentic Mexican experience during our stay. The staff are all friendly and very helpful. The food is phenomenal with lots of varieties. The whole surrounding is clean. The hotel’s location is close to everything. The only downside is the slow wifi but its nothing compared to the overall experience! Highly recommended! We can’t wait to go back1
