Overall I would say the hotel was pleasant, and one that I would return to. The room was clean, the staff was super nice, and the pool was perfect for kids. The only complaint I would have is the shower. The shower is outdated and at the very least needs new curtains. Otherwise I had a good experience at Los Arcos Suites
Over all, a nice place to stay. Very friendly and helpful staff. Some construction noise but that's all over P.V.
We spent a week and enjoyed it thoroughly, partly because the hotel is one of a group of three--including one on the beach--and we had access to all. Our concierge is a model of helpful and friendly staffer and is very knowledgeable about great things to see and do.
Had a very good time. We love PVR. People are very friendly. Weather is great
Suites Los Arcos was conveniently situated for restaurants, clubs, art galleries and shopping, especially for the crafts mall on the island in the Rio Cuale. The hotel featured a small swimming pool, but guests at the hotel had access to the much larger and livelier main Los Arcos across one of the more arterial streets. The staff was helpful and very friendly and the cleaning crew was efficient and agreeable. There is a lot of construction of new condos and apartment buildings in this part of town and so there is some day time construction noise, what with cement mixers and the like operating close by. But the AC and the sliding glass door of the hotel's balcony do a lot to minimize any disturbance, and this construction activity ceases during the evening and night.
It was amazing.. Our room was huge and the service was outstanding. The location was near everything good so we never did too much walking . We would definitely go back to los Arcos suites without a doubt. 100% recommended.
If you want to be in the heart of Puerto Vallarta, this hotel is right for you! The staff were lovely, everything was clean and well kept, and it's surrounded by the best restaurants of Puerto Vallarta. We could see the ocean from our room, and the pools were so nice to cool down in in the heat of the day. If you're an individual who needs the fancy schmancy, the authenticity of Los Arcos is not probably not for you. We stayed here for our honeymoon, and loved every minute of it. So many people we met were staying at resorts that were outlandishly priced, far away from everything, and stuck with food that was so-so, who had regretted their decisions. We will stay here every time!!
Everyone in this hotel was extremely nice. By day 3 they knew us by name and what we liked to drink and eat. They would even alert us of the happy hours times.
This was my fifth time here. All went well except for the A/C. No matter what room I'm in, the air conditioner always has a damp musty smell. What ever causes it, should be addressed. I just leave the slider open and don't use the A/C. I think it's very unhealthy. Works for me in December. Don't think I'd stay here in the warmer months.
Wonderful staff, hotel is at the end of a small cup de sac so it's nicely hidden away in the Zona Romantica. Just what we wanted for our stay. Nice room lay out, deck, actually huge dining/living area, great bedroom, shower/bathroom a bit small but fine as it's tucked in between the bed room and guest area via 2 doors. Love having a fridge and making my own breakfast. THE best German food is just at the corner, and local local food either to the left a few blocks away or to the right around a 15-20 minute walk.
This is our home away from home. Family friendly, wonderful caring help from maids,to front desk, to reservations. The only issue is wifi service not very good. Hilda in reservations and Francisco at the lobby are always willing to help and have become part of our extended family
the rooms were average but the drinks were awesome
This the best location to be in and we love the hotel. Great staff and large rooms with a balcony.
I was there for 1 night only, and I so wanted to over stay the staff is so kind and helpful, the location is amazingly well located and and is super clean, I just love it!
We're almost large and comfortable. Air conditioning wasn't great. The AC worked fine but not as good as it worked at its sister hotel: Casa Susana. Room was pretty clean, however I will not say it with spotless. Balcony was a great plus with a good view of the ocean from a block away. The kitchenette what's great for cooking. Staff was always very friendly.
Los Arcos Suites is located on a side street in Old Town PV, 1 block from the ocean and 2 blocks from the pier. It is close to many restaurants, shops, bars, and water activities. The hotel is clean, has a nice pool, and the staff is wonderful.
This was our 4th time visiting this hotel in the last 3 years, and again, we are very satisfied. We would come back again. it's an older hotel, so you cannot expect 5 stars, however having a kitchenette, and larger than normal rooms with a balcony makes up for it! If you are up to it there are several places to by food for breakfast/lunch if you want to save some bucks on going out for all 3 meals each day. The weekends get pretty busy with tourists and local travelers, so the main pool and beach can get a little crowded, but we used this as an opportunity to make some friends while we were there. A nice improvement since our last visit was the hotels internet - which is free. In the past it was not reliable but they have made upgrades, and it is now more than acceptable. I was even able to stream a live baseball in HD on a day where we needed to be out of the sun (sunburn!) The rooftop pool at Casa Dona Susana (part of the 3 hotels included) is a great option for a more relaxed time. The pool is not heated, so it's good on a hot day. A huge benefit to the hotel is the location we never had to take a taxi once during the trip as you can walk to all the food spots and nightlife in 5 minutes. It's also in the 'gay' area of town, and everyone there respected our LGBT relationship. Regarding the staff - they always immediately responded to any requests that we had. Specifically Javier Fransisco Ponce from the hotels main desk was exceptionally helpful. He speaks the best English of anyone at the hotel, so we always relied on him when he was working. If I had to say something was missing it would be the beach towels. I think they have been reusing the same set since out first trip 5 years ago. They are "clean" but worn out with some holes, and the occasional stain. I think it's time for a new set Los Arcos!!!
I call them Mexican Hotels? This may not be PC. But I think that the majority of the time, that;s where I stay and I get the best bang for my buck.We went down with another couple and they like AI properties. They paid double what we did. And they weren't happy. They came down to the Romantic Zone where our hotel is located and we walked to everything no need for a taxi. The room was fine and very well kept. And the maids were extremely efficient leaving an extra amount of towels every day. Many times you run into linen that's a little tread bare, but nice towels here. The staff here are very friendly and helpful! Would I stay here again? You bet I would. PS This is the Best location in Town.
I chose the all-inclusive package, and it really is a great value. The food is not the best food I have ever had, but it's fine, and you can always find something to enjoy. Plus, if you stay a week, they give you a free meal at their fancy outdoor restaurant, which is delicious. The room was clean, had a beautiful balcony and had air conditioning. I was very comfortable.
