Not one smile from the check in staff. Seemed like I was an inconvenience in checking into their very mediocre hotel. Would not recommend this hotel.

Great hotel for what we paid. Great location near restaurants, bars and shopping area. Hotel restaurant is okey. Gay friendly.

It's OK if you go on budget vacation and don't want to spend too much time in your room.

Great staff (except Hector at the beach bar-snotty attitude). Beds were super hard, rooms could use a clock and a coffee maker

Great location. Very clean rooms that are dated. The no vistor policy is horrible. Wristbands are a joke. Security is homophobic . Considering that's it's in a very gay area with gay guests they still exhibit a homophobic attitude at this hotel.

As always, the staff was exceptional...Front desk...each one....Hilda in reservations, superb.Maid for my room 345 very thorough...The Hotel is always spotless..The ladies in the towel room..always smiling....Pool/bar area was wonderful...Hector is always so nice...And makes a wonderful bloody mary.. Marcella in security really made my stay..I thought I had ruined my favorite top resting on a bar stool at Margaritaville..I brought it down with me the next morning to find out where the laundry was down the street...Marcella took it from me and came back minutes later...clean...no more spot...I was shocked at the service...She didn't need to do that. I was sorry she was off the day I left...I have a gift for her..So she will get it next year when I return...GRACIAS>>>>>>>>>>>

Have stayed at this hotel many times. Love the pool, location. Our air conditioner was extremely loud. Really loud. Room was not cool enough. They need new air conditioners. That being said... I would come back!

Reserving just a standard room for economy, my room was on the street side of the hotel. It was pretty noisy with daily commerce, but quieted down significantly at night. I had a sliver view of the ocean from my balcony, and could hear the waves crashing at night. A limited view of Amapas street going uphill...was very old Europe looking. I liked it. Next time I would reserve an Superior Ocean view room.

Wonderful location, nice pool and great food service. Rooms were spacious, beds were a little hard for my taste but still fine to sleep in.

MAJOR DISAPPOINTMENT! Nothing mentioned on hotel website that no visitors are allowed to visit the rooms. Upon check-in, I saw the sign next to the front desk and specifically requested if OK for my mom and family. Staff firmly said "NO". Absolutely NO VISITORS. Front desk staff also forced a wristband on me upon check-in. Said I MUST wear it. Property is not even an "all inclusive" resort. Rather than staff take other measures for hotel security, they made me, and other guests I asked, feel like we were in detention rather than a guest. Staff was abrupt and rude in approach and tone asking every time over three days of my stay to see the wristband before allowing me to enter the hotel despite them seeing me multiple times. Hotel states on their website and confirmation of a surcharge price for breakfast. OK no problem, however when I got to the hotel restaurant the price was A LOT higher than stated. Room had broken tile, very hard mattress, broken shower door and mirror (also very rusted), blood stains on my sheets, etc. Other hotel guests were smoking cigarettes and marijuana on the property and adjacent rooms/balconies to my room. As a non-smoker, this was difficult on me. Rude comments to me by housekeeping upon returning a pool towel. Not sure they and other staff are happy working at this hotel given the sad looks on their faces. Not to worry, as I found other wonderful places which I will stay upon my return.

We arrived with ease, staff seemed very busy as if using lots of paper - not much converted to automation. Seemed like we were unwelcome at first, which I attribute to the fact that the reservation was made via Orbitz - apparently, their relationship is with Expedia (sorry Orbitz). Definitely need to re-specify the room you want. We asked for a King, were given two doubles, which worked out allright. Had to call maintenance twice with weird noises, that they took care of quickly. Those are the neg's. Loved the view from the room, the pool and the beach. Bar and restaurant were fine for us. GREAT VALUE.

sewer drain in bathroom emitted terrible odor...kept me awake.

Shabby property, it's seen better days. Beds are rock hard, no amenities at all.

Overall we were pleased with the this hotel and would recommend it. Right on the beach in the old town, the hotel has two pools with a restaurant and bar that is very reasonably priced and quite good. There is a small pond where a few turtles live and the guests enjoyed watching them. One issue: We reserved a superior king room and were told there were only two double bedded rooms available when we checked in. The next day, I went to lobby to ask to be moved and was told there were no king rooms available. Although we reserved a superior room, I believe the room we got was a standard room as it matched those pictures on the web site (furniture etc), not the pictures shown for the superior room. The superior rooms appear to be in the newer tower to the left of the hotel lobby. The double beds in the room were a bit uncomfortable for the two of us. I complained to Orbitz but it was determined by the hotel that we got the room we paid for. I will have to admit the room was on a higher floor with a wonderful view of the beach and bay and that may have been why they see this as a upgraded room.

The hotel is located close to most of the restaurants, shops and point of interest in the "Zona Romantica" neighborhood. The Jr. Suite was very spacious, private and clean. It also had a spectacular view of the pool, beach and sunsets.

Forgot to clean my room twice even tho I personally asked them too. Also they sneaky about the check out time and tried telling me the time to check out once it was to late so they could get a half Days worth of stay.

A wonderful time . Having the restaurant on premise was a real "treat." Enjoyed the view from our balcony - many sunset pictures!

It's a basic hotel with 2 nice pools. The pool/beach staff is great and really takes care of it's guest.

Unfriendly staff, lame check in, unwelcomed, not LGBT friendly, and so disappointing. We can not even invite our business partner to have dinner or drinks at hotel restaurant, they must be advance registered and pay for fee which I don't find any of this info on Orbitz anywhere even in small prints. Wifi can only be used in lobby which is not convenient at all, especially if you travel as business.

The staff was very rude. The staff also wanted to force me to give them a printed or electronic copy of the reservation.
