terrible service!! no towels , hk service horrible!
Our stay here was for the 3rd consecutive year. We keep coming back mainly for the convenience out the front door is the beach where all other GLBT folk hang out. Staff has always been very accommodating to us. If there are issues, and there have been in past years, they're always quick to solve them or make amends to make things better.
The room was disgusting. We left after a few hours. We just could not do it. The shower was horrible. The windows did not close. WE LEFT! Of course no refund but it was so bad.
I booked this resort not realizing that it was gay friendly and I am extremely happy with this resort. As a straight woman I still had a fantastic time. If you are looking for luxury and frills this is not your place. BUT it is a 40 year old resort with lots of character. The rooms are clean and perfect for what I needed (which was just to sleep). The staff was friendly and responsive. I was always greeted by my name. My room was ocean front and steps from the sand. I actually felt less like a tourist and more like I had moved there for a few days. I met amazing and fun people, had access to cheap but delicious restaurants and a variety of entertainment. The free continental breakfast was perfect. The drinks were the BEST! I had a blast and plan to book here next time I visit PV.
You can tell they have not spend a penny on the maintenance of the room. Phone don't work, TV does not work, no pressure on the shower, you can tell that it has not been painted in a while, lamps don't work, broken lights, this place is a dump. At night if you have any lights, you can see through, the frames and doors are old and crumbling.
Omg it was a DUMP from A to Z! It started at check when they ask you do you wanna up grade and the first room nothing worked..lights..tv..air.shower....nothing worked..at front desk I can put you in a nicer room for 50us...so we said ok next room dirty and loud our room was in between dance floors..that were only busy at happy hour but no customer but music played til midnight..DUMP
Grossest hotel I have ever stayed in. Took 2 days to get them to fix my AC only after I paid to do so. No safes in rooms and someone else's room was robbed there. Blood stains on my bed. It's essentially a bathhouse. Disgusting!!!
I've been here several times over the last few years or so. Every year it keeps getting better and better with all the renovations that I've seen happen. Many new completely remodeled rooms with new furniture, kitchenettes among many other things. There are still a few quirks about the place. The elevators are slow. The lighting in the hallways need a little help. It's considered to be the gay place to be, however i find none of the staff to be homosexal at all. But they are extreme gay-friendly! Overall: It's close to the beach where i want to be. The drinks at their bar are reasonable. The shows at the drag lounge are fun and very entertaining. The restaurant gets better every year. It's Mexico, if you want class it'll get there, the diamond still needs a little polishing! J patrick michaelson on Facebook.
Don't stay at the hotel. I was there on a busy week. I booked an ocean front room. What I got was facing the ocean it was a suite but they must have been updating it because things in the room where not completed. I had no towel bars in the bathroom or a toilet paper holders. No telephone to call front desk. No closet to hang up clothes.no curtains on the Windows Nowhere to set my luggage. The room only got cleaned when I as the front staff the let housekeeping know. The hotel overbooked for that busy week.I booked it labor day 2016 to stay week ending 2/4/17.they didn't have proper room room so they put me in an unfinished suite. My friend stayed at the hotel to and his room had all the formentioned items. The hotel was very noise. The room they put me in was right under rooftop disco. If you must stay in the hotel Do Not stay in room 705. great view, horrible hotel.
Dirty rooms and low standards for being on the beach. My third night there I walked into some type of dirty water all over the floor from a leaking pipe only to be put into a room that smelled of mold.
Check in was easy, even gave us a larger room which was nice. However every room always seems to have some issues. This one had a second bedroom where the bed had no pillows and exposed plumbing on the wall. The master has two lamps with no light bulbs (only a working fan/light). One of the doors had a piece of glass removed and replaced with gay drag queen adds, and last the couch had a rip on the side. I would have no problem paying an extra few dollars a night if it would mean having nicer things, and I think most people think the same. $10 more a nice could easily assist with the cost of basic repairs or even light bulbs. The location is so convenient it's a shame to have a lower quality hotel.
very nice people, slightly worn facility, great location
A/C was out, TV remote missing, phone didn't work, wifi was out, and the hall light didn't work. I am disappointed in the resorts condition.
I read many mixed reviews on this hotel prior to booking. It is the lowest priced resort on the beach. It is the only gay resort on the beach. We booked in advance through Orbitz. We were warmly welcomed at the front desk. The front desk person gave us lots of advice and recommendations on things to do and see for our first trip to Vallarta. We had booked an ocean front room and we got room 401, which is 4th floor facing the water. I think the room may have been a junior suite because it included a full kitchen too. It had a large balcony to sit and check out the crowds at the beach below. We could easily hear the sound of the crashing waves too. That is what ocean front is all about. The room was spacious with tile floors and Mexican style furniture. We had air conditioning that worked great, but it was loud when it kicked in. Fortunately we didn't use it much. The bed was quite firm and the sheets were older. The kitchen had granite counters an older stove and microwave and a new full size refrigerator. The bathroom had a rain style shower with the shower head in the ceiling. The water pressure was low and water was mostly only warm at the hottest setting. The bath towels were rough and older, the beach towels were big and fluffy. The hotel appears to be undergoing minor renovations and there is evidence of unfinished projects in the public areas, but that didn't bother us as we were spending our free time at the beach or shopping and dining.
This hotel is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in for the money I paid. The room had no towels when I initially arrived, and when I went down to ask for some the staff was rude. The towels finally arrived the next morning when I again asked for them. The bedspread and sheets were stinky. I asked them to replace them and again the staff was rude. The television didn't work, was missing a cable box, which was finally placed in the room 2 days before my departure. The shower never had hot water. I had paid for a room with a beach view and all I could see was the delapidated building that was across the street from the hotel. Poor service, horrible facility, will never return.
So... our AC didn't work, there was construction outside throughout the entire morning, someone was given our room key too so we were walked in on while changing, our water stopped working for an entire day, and the place was a mess when we arrived. The continental breakfast was nice, but you're just getting fruit and bread. I would not recommend this place at all. Pay a little extra and stay somewhere nicer.
good but very loud especially on bubble bath night. bed not so good.
I got there and they did not have the room I reserved. I had to stay in a less desirable room for one night. until they could get me another room I had reserved the next day. The air condition was leaking water in the room for a couple of days. I reported it right away but they came to look at it and fixed it two days later had to put buckets under the leak meanwhile. Had no water at all one morning they did fix it but wasting my time.
Was Ok for me but lots of issues with room. First room was in my opinion not secure/ had paid for ocean a beach view but doors from patio not very secure persons on other balcony could have enter and robbed room. I was given another room but was not a beach but larger room with a view of the ocean. Had shown me several rooms but was not what I had paid for. Overall it was ok. Bathrooms needs some major work along with the building itself. Understand they are doing a renovation on rooms and building. Overall staff at hotel and beach were very helpful with everything. They did their best in my eyes for what they had to offer. I will stay possibly there again the next time I go to PV if the renovation is completed Again staff did their best to make my stay pleasant.
The majority of the staff were friendly and tried to be helpful. The accommodations were passable, and were kept clean by the maids. The beach staff were also friendly and helpful. The hotel was also close to a number of decent restaurants and bars.
