Holiday Inn Orlando SW - Celebration Area

From the second you walk in you're bombarded with crowds and lines. This was the busiest and loudest hotel I've ever stayed in. The rooms were sticky wet with humidity and smelled. The sheets were very low quality. I'm not one to make official complaints (I have children!) and we called the front desk for noise complaints several times. I got a total of 3 hours of sleep because the noise was out of control. There were multiple large tour groups with all kids (very little adult ratio). I canceled the second night of our stay and went to a different hotel. This hotel does not meet the quality of any other Holiday Inn I've ever been to. If you have 5+ kids and you're an extremely loud bunch, this is the place for you!

I will start with the few good things about this hotel. The price, location, restaurant, lobby and the pool were all good. Also, the McDonalds being right next door was convenient for breakfast. Otherwise, the entire hotel is in a state of disrepair. There is a chunk of concrete missing on the front side of the building with exposed rebar, the floor numbers are almost completely worn off on all three of the front elevators, the only working ice machine was on the 2nd floor (I checked all floors before finally finding it) and the carpet in the halls really needs replacement. Our room had tiny ghost ants on the table and dresser. The walls had stains on them and the drain stop on the sink wasn’t connected (they never came to fix it after calling and telling them at the front desk the next day). They did clean the room each day (contrary to another review I read), but they didn’t give me more coffee and they left me an opened sugar/creamer package. The wall unit air conditioner was right next to the bed and makes you hot and cold constantly all night. I moved the bed over as far as possible and squeezed one of the chairs in front of it to block it from blowing directly in my face and body all night. The lighting was bad, the toilet was a short/non -elongated one and the shower was one of those cheap, one-piece slap ins. Parking is terrible. They let a construction crew park their huge trucks and equipment on the lot. They also have around 30 spots that are apparently leased out

Wish the front desk staff knew more about the surrounding areas and where things are. Like shopping...nail saloons....attractions. Good stay. Clean rooms...nice pool and hot tub

I paid for a king size bedroom, when I got over there they told me that I had to pay more for the king size bed even if my confirmation email said that I got a king size bed. They were out of king size beds so I could not get it in the end. They didn't clean the room on the first day and the day to check out they tried to come in at 9am to clean it they opened the door and everything when we were still sleeping and the check out is not even until 11am

Here is a list of issues affecting our stay: #1 - bug (cockroach) on curtain (upon arrival to room) #2 - dirty comforter (upon arrival to room) #3 - no housekeeping or cleaning service 4 out of 5 days we stayed (since Friday) because the hotel was at full capacity even before hurricane #4 - power outage since sunday thru tuesday which limited all hotel services #5 - lack of cleanup/ filthy premises all over the hotel in all areas #6 - lack of hot breakfast since Sunday through Tuesday #7 - poor/limited/no internet service #8 - during the storm, water leaked into the room through the balcony These are just a few issues mentioned to CS. I should not be paying full price with all these issues experienced as I did not receive a full service, it was actually very poor and limited, not to mention lack of cleaniness since arrival. I had to stay because there were no other hotels vacant, otherwise I would have switched to another hotel due to all these issues. I called numerous times for housekeeping and guest services with no answer or if they did answer, they would say they would send someone to check and never did. I also advised manager of issues upon check-out and he said he would credit, but never did and no one called me as promised for follow up. This has been 3 weeks already.

Room had no table large enough for eating or working with the computer. TV schedule did not match the tv programs, room was dark and did not have enough outlets. Not computer friendly, Refrigerator worked ok BUT no microwave. Prepaid Breakfast was good, but same items each day. Printers in the business center never worked

Very rude...I had to stay an extra night because I missed my flight and they charged me double of the advertised price. After stay there for a week, they still tried to take advantage of the situation.

Literally hundreds of kids from India running around in the hallways until after midnight every night! I literally complained SEVEN TIMES before it got relatively quiet after 12:30 am! Front desk told me it's like this all the time because they usually book groups like that this time of year. Same thing happened 2 years ago. I guess it's a regular thing here! NEVER AGAIN! CONSIDER YOURSELVES WARNED! Stay ANYWHERE but HERE!!!

I recently stayed at the Holiday Inn - Celebration Area in Orlando. It was very clean. I had to get an upgrade because of a misunderstanding, but it only cost $10. I was pleased with the upgraded room. I checked out very early. The only complaint would be that there aren't enough people on staff at 6:45 am. I had to wait to check out. I was in a hurry to catch an early flight.

Nice hotel very close to shopping and restaurants. Also right across the street from a park that has alot to offer for the entire family.

easy to find, fast check in, great buffet breakfast

Uncomfortable beds and pillows. No lock on the door. Small bathroom almost impossible to get in and out of

Nice hotel close to Disney and old town. Staff was very polite.

Exterior construction made parking and traveling about the lot difficult.

Nice hotel! Excellent location. friendly staff Tough parking

Pros: Very conveniently located near major attractions, great amenities, friendly staff, very comfy beds, clean rooms Cons: front-desk staff was overwhelmed (probably a one-off) and forgot requests. We requested a shower cap for 3 days in a row and were told that it will be delivered to our room each time, but it never arrived. They never replaced empty shampoo and lotion bottles for entire stay either :(

Hotel was great overall. When we checked in to our room, our room was very clean but also very hot and even though it was cold by the ac, it took until the following morning to cool down.

The delta airoplane was I traveled from jfk to Orlando was delay 75 minutes after that dollars rent cars had charged me 805 $ plus and they had give me a little car not suitable for charged my luggage and I have change the car after 5 days they had give me a mid size car after check in at the hotel I foud about 11 kind of insect in the to bed and they change the room at the check out the told me no charge plus after one hour when I was at the airport I had receive message from my Banck they tell me the hotel had draw 120$ from me credit card

Went on family vacation had a blast the staff sucks my room was small and not cleaned the staff did not talk English one TV did not work not enough towels when you call for things the staff gets mad and don't bring it it sucks don't stay there

hotel stay was wonderful will indeed book again in the near future.
