Dear Sir/Madame- I very much like the property and have been there three of the last three years with my family. It’s beautifully run. My very, very big disappointment came when I got food poisoning that lead to diarrhea/nausea, chills and fever within an hour after leaving the property’s Luau. I was sick the rest of the night, 1/2 the following day (before forcing myself to leave the bed/room and had to cancel plans later that next evening. Upon realizing how a large portion of my trip was ruined I decided to ask for a refund for only my portion of the luau. Truth be told getting poisoned ruined some of my wife’s stay as well as my daughter’s but I felt it only fair to request my fee be taken off the bill upon checkout. After politely asking for something I didn't really consider would be met with anything but apologies and agreement, the person at the front desk told me that the front desk manager Kelsey Lions would only offer me $50 off of the $135 I was charged. I politely declined. To be clear- I have stayed there under the name Ethan or Skip Erickson three of the last three years, I also signed up for the Elite program this last stay so as to accrue points and have raved to others about the property and staff. I find it incredible that your property would lose my and my friends’ business over a charge of $135. I found the $50 offer incredibly cheap and in very poor taste hence my refusal to accept it & I am still bitter about it. Please let me know your thoughts.

A beautiful hotel with a very professional staff and amazing grounds. The pool was awesome, clean and not crowded even on busy days.

More vegetarian options would be better. Breakfast could be more reasonably priced.

A beautiful property! Staff very attentive. Room was beautiful. The only negative was that the property was so spread out it was a very long walk getting to and fro. Otherwise one of our top stays.

With the up-front understanding that everything on the property is really expensive--it's also really amazing. We took my mom here for the last vacation of her life, and the staff was beyond helpful. They made it possible for her to enjoy the sun for three more days, and she couldn't stop smiling. My husband and I spent a little more time enjoying the pool amenities--from waterslides to a swim-up bar--and also couldn't stop exclaiming about how much we loved it there. If I can ever afford it again, we'll go back.

Pools were nice. Everything was always clean. Rooms were ok but the views made up for it

Great, great property!!! We didn't want to leave. A wonderful, friendly staff made our stay all that much better. We'll definitely be going back.

Beautiful property and great restaurants. My only complaint would be no pads on chairs by the pool. Other then that, it was amazing!

Great beach! Beautiful grounds. Plan on shelling out extra $612 dollars if you’re staying a week and parking a car (resort fee + parking + various taxes). Infuriating!! I’m fully capable of parking my own car and didn’t appreciate valet service one tiny bit. Expect to wait a long time for your car if it’s during their busy times even if you call ahead. Only ate twice on premises and both experiences were huge disappointments. At Molokini bistro 2 personal pizzas and 2 very small salads ran us close to 100 bucks and were mediocre at best. Also, tried the sushi place and it truly was the worst sushi I’ve ever eaten (including those at Chinese buffets). On a plus side if you’re renting a car there are many excellent dining options within a few miles from a resort. Kihei Cafe is top of my list for breakfast and Monkeypod for dinner. Overall, enjoyable trip

Family hotel with lazy river and slides that are simply perfect. The sand beach connected to the lazy river is a safe / fun place for kids to play together. The add on charges for everything are annoying. $50 per day to park?

For the amount of money you spend you expect perfection. In our room, there was black mildew in the shower stall, all over it. There was no fan to clear out the steam. The tub was from the 90s and our daughter loves baths so I chose that over the shower for her but still didn’t feel good about bathing her in it. Food is very expensive on the property and it isn’t that good. You’ll probably save money renting a car, paying the required valet fee of $40/day (no self parking) and driving out to Kihei or to the nearby Wailea restaurants. Uber is also an option. Monkeypod and Paia Fish Market are great. 808 deli for lunch. Foodland for snacks and alcohol, mixers. Room comes with a fridge. Cocktails on the property start at $18, beer around $10. But is poolside so there’s that. We brought an insulated water bottle and made our own in the room. The property is huge so be prepared to walk, which isn’t a bad thing if you’re up for it, which we were. The gardens are gorgeous and the pools, slides, and beach are why you should stay here. You won’t get better anywhere else as far as resorts go. Hopefully you will explore Maui’s other beaches too - they all have a special beauty unique to their location. Besides the pools, the staff are kind, so be kind and respectful to them. I saw some guests treat them like crap. They work hard- some walking over 10 miles a day just to do their work! Overall just be mindful of the above and stay there for the pools. Mahalo.

The staff were all amazing! Great facilities, service and amazing beach!

Outstanding resort! 5 star all the way! The resort is beautiful and the staff are very professional and friendly! Will DEFINITELY come again!

Very beautiful property. Nice and peaceful stay. Definitely recommend it!!!
