Overall stay was ok. Condo was big and spacious. Clean and quiet. Conveniently located. Kitchen was well stocked. Bedding was nice, can’t speak to the pull out couch. Pools were nice and clean with lounges and tables. Has a small cooler and beach/pool towels stocked. But no chairs or umbrellas which was needed. Staff checking in not the most welcoming, which was fine. Worst part was, before they give you the rooms keys, they make you go to “concierge”…where they then try and sign you up for a TIMESHARE meeting. They don’t take no for an answer. Had to say yes, sure we’ll go to the next meeting and then they proceed to call you that day and the next. He also kept going on and on and giving many pamphlets on island info and things to do as well. Which yes, is nice and all. If you ask for it. Which I didn’t. After a very long, early morning flight we just wanted our condo keys to relax and go get something to eat. He wasn’t listening. Expedia shouldn't allow you book timeshare sales pitch condos.

Wyndham Kona

Beautiful place, comfortable beds and great customer service. They would bring things to your room quickly if needed including detergent and dish tabs. My only complaint is the immediate attempt at trying to get you to a time share presentation, when we declined it persist and when we shut it down completely the customer service from that person went cold.

Amazing staff!!

Albert was amazing! I appreciated that he was able to get us checked in early so we could get ready for our nieces wedding. It was very much appreciated. All the staff was very friendly and the unit was clean comfortable and perfect for our family trip. Thank you Albert for all your hospitality.

They have construction going on which was very noisy, thankfully we were able to have our condo changed to a different location. The unit was not upgraded yet, smelled a little musty but was clean and served its purpose. Pool was very busy and loud with kids the first couple days but we did get some nice relaxing days in later in our stay. Staff was great. All in all, I would stay there again

The location was good and the grounds were lovely. Our condo was comfortable but the decor was dated. The interior did not look at all like the photos on the website. The washing machine was so loud it sounded like a jet engine during the spin cycle. The dishwasher was not attached to anything and tipped forward when the racks were pulled out during loading and unloading. There was a high pressure campaign to get us to sit through a sales pitch to purchase a time share which we did not anticipate or appreciate.

Very close to downtown Kona. Probably walkable but an easy short drive. Hotel itself doesn't have food or drinks onsite so you will have to drive or Doordash. Rooms are large and have amenities to make it easy. I wish you could access Netflix, etc in the rooms but you can't. The pool area is really nice. We were not aware that a sales presentation would require offsite attendance. You do get some gifts but it does take time out of your vacation. Everyone gets a wristband that works to access room, pool, etc. Our room was on the bottom floor and the upstairs neighbors were incredibly loud but beds were comfy!

We enjoyed our stay here. The property itself is located conveniently off the main road. About a mile in each direction, north and south are beaches, shopping and dining. We had teenagers with us and they loved that freedom and convenience of walking to these activities. The Check-In process was easy enough. We booked two units and requested to be together. They couldn't place us in the same unit (it's a duplex condo design) but accommodated us by placing us near each other. The bedrooms, kitchen and living rooms were all clean, spacious and cozy. The Hawaiian island decor was charming and as our teenagers said, "it's a vibe", translated as awesome 👌. The front desk customer service was excellent. I can't recall names, but the "aunties" and "uncles" were always kind and helpful. Overall, ☆☆☆☆☆ 5 stars from us. We would definitely book here again.
