Excellent staff! Everybody was friendly, courteous and helpful. Especially Ann at reception/check-in. She was patient and kind and tried really hard to make it right for us. She even called us the next day to make sure we were happy. We stayed in the Lagoon Tower knowing they were doing renovations but it was a big mistake. You could not be in your room or out on your Lanai during the hours of about 8-5. The jackhammering could be heard throughout the whole tower. Their website doesn't tell you about that part. Our Lagoon Tower room looked exactly the same as our friends who moved to a different tower. Both ocean view rooms look just like the photos on the website. Only the rooms look like they are still in need of remodeling. Mold, poor quality, old furniture, (dresser drawers either wouldn't open easy or wouldn't stay closed), poor quality linens, bed and bath. resort is a stretch. When your pool doesn't have poolside service, you're not a resort! Some great ocean views throughout the hotel, but only going to hear the waves from rooms that are directly on the lagoon side. Dons Mai Tai bar and restaurant had some decent food at decent prices. Cocktails not so great. Parking is close to rooms which is great. Town is a 10 minute walk. Which is what I had to do every morning to get a decent cup of coffee because the resort just didn't have it. In room coffee maker makes a light brown water at best. If it wasn't for the staff, I'd have given our stay a one star.
