A little way out of the centre but a good base. Everything shuts early (9.00pm) but that is not unique to the Outrigger.

We had an amazing time here!! The pool area with the water slide is fantastic and the views of the ocean were stunning. They also provide a refillable water bottle and have water stations throughout the property which was a must for us with the heat. However, the staff were the highlight of our stay. Everyone was so friendly and accommodating. We’d absolutely stay here again! Suggestions for Improvement: -Need more food options. Piko says it’s open all day for grab and go however, it was only open for breakfast and dinner. -More trash cans or compost bins should be added.

We’ve been staying at this property for the past 10 years, even back when it was the Sheraton. It’s always been our go-to spot in Kona. Our visit in 2023 wasn’t great, the front desk service was poor, but this time was a totally different experience. Octavia was amazing and gave us such a warm welcome. She really made our stay special. Big thanks also to Randy and Kay from security for helping me recover an item I left behind in our room. We’re happy to see the great service back and will definitely be returning!

cockroaches

room looks clean and large, but cockroaches moving in room!!!! i called front desk, and one came to catch cockroaches, but i still dare not turn off lights and i didn’t sleep well, the most important, next day i went another hotel, i scared of they had cockroaches too, i can’t sleep well either.
