The location is amazing! The property is older, but very well maintained. The staff was so friendly!

I loved the wonderful staff and the great location.

Marriott Courtyard King Kamehameha's Kona Beach Hotel. February 17-21, 2020. Room 321 East Bathroom: Average, definitely signs of wear, could use some maintenance. Shower head extremely low. It would be difficult for a tall person to shower. The towels were small and not the usual large towels that most hotels use these days. Bed: A little saggy, seemed old and not the well known Marriott beds that I see in other Marriotts. Room: Large, plenty of space and clean. The TV was very large and nice to watch. The carpet was new and in good condition. The room definitely looked dated in terms of colors and decor. Lanai: Small with two chairs and a small table. No chaise lounge. The room was an oceanview room. Worst view I’ve ever had in a hotel. 95% of the view was the rooftop of the building beside us. There was a peep hole vision of the ocean in the distance. Not a pleasant place to sit. Service: The maids were friendly and pleasant as were the people at the front desk. I could have used more information on the amenities that were available to me like information on wifi, cabana rental etc. Location: Good location in that it is close to the beach and very walkable to the town with lots of shopping and places to eat. Lots of families there and a good place for small children. The place could definitely use some flowers and a little landscaping. Not a hibiscus in sight.

We love all the history of the Hawaiian monarchy displayed and all the other Hawaiian artifacts and displays. The record marlin is awesome, worth way more than a thousand words!

Location location location! Right downtown within walking distance to alot of stuff! The staff really stands out, I don't know where the found so many nice people. We got a newly renovated room in the west building. Hotel parking was very secure.

The hotel is very close to shops and restaurants. The beach is too small, the $25 daily resort fee is ridiculous( This is a hotel, not a resort), the food in the restaurant is not very good and too expensive, the hotel is very dated (Had to ask for a different room upon arrival since it smelled like mold), the rooms and especiallly the bathrooms are way too small, and the beach is super small and crowded.

We enjoyed staying here. However, where you play games, such as ping pong, there was sand in a very large box, I’m not sure what it was for, maybe sandbox for kids. However that area smelled so bad of cat urine, you could not be in there. I saw cat poop in there one morning. Children were walking in the sand. Yuk.

Location is great but the hotel is in need of some major work.

Beautiful hotel in a great location. Beautiful pool with bar and Private beach access with kayak rentals and short drive to a couple nice public beaches. Walking distance to great shopping and restaurants.

I paid for this through Orbitz but when I got to the hotel they said it was not paid. I didn't know breakfast came with the room until after breakfast and it was too late. Even though it was paid for through Orbitz. Very dissapointed

A neighbor left a note at our door about keeping the noise down. We had two young children in the room and they were excited about being in the hotel. We stated we would be there with two young children. We would have appreciated a call from the front desk rather than an aggressive note from the neighbors.

the brunch was a little bit pricey, food was ok could have been better

absurd guests must pay like $25 day parking. weird smell in hallway last few days. didnt get free water bottles in room every day. wasnt told.about guest amenities like free snorkel gear, umbrellas,.etc. expensive tours inside lobby. few power outlets.

Overall we think this peoperty is overated. Paying 25 $ in addition to 3 oclock checkin is not cool.

Great location, near restaurants and the beach, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. I’d have to agree, however, with other reviewers about the state of the hotel. It’s is definitely in need of renovations. The bathroom had peeling paint, and the decor was dated. Also, there was a unpleasant odor in our room—something akin to sweaty socks or a gym locker room. I would not recommend this hotel, especially at this price point.
