The room was very nice and spacious with a decent view of the ocean. I was very pleased on checkout day; we had a 10 PM flight, and the hotel not only let us use the facilities all day (pool, hot tub, etc.), but they gave us access to a hospitality room where we were able to take a shower at the time of our choosing.

The property was clean and well maintained. We liked the easy access to the beach and the views from the balcony. The pool and the hot tub were also great with live music, food and drink options. The proximity to downtown, the restaurants and stores made it very easy for us to spend time and find various amenities. The only downside was the price. Granted it was during Dec holidays but still I felt we paid 4 star prices for a 3 star hotel.

We had such a wonderful time while staying here. Location is 10 out of 10. You do not need a car ;restaurants, shopping and public transportation are within walking distance). A special THANK YOU and shout out to Tisha. She was the person who greeted us when we arrived and also the person who helped us with check out. Tisha was so pleasant to interact with and incredibly professional. This is a busy season and the front desk was super busy at all times. So we greatly appreciated the outstanding customer service delivered not only by front desk staff but throughout the whole hotel. Mahalo from the bottom of our hearts.

Located on the dry, leeward side of the Big Island, Courtyard by Marriott King Kamehameha’s Kona Beach Hotel is a ~15 minute drive from Kona International Airport and sits directly in the heart of downtown Kailua-Kona. Its central location provides easy access to local shops, restaurants, and community events. During our stay, we were able to attend both the annual Lighted Boat Parade and the Kailua-Kona Christmas Parade the following week. The hotel served as a base for exploring other parts of the island, given its central location. It also occupies a site of considerable cultural significance. The property is located at Kamakahonu, where King Kamehameha I spent his final years. The main floor includes a gallery space showcasing work by Herb Kāne, reflecting themes of Hawaiian history, identity, and cultural continuity. The hotel also offers cultural programming, including informational tours, hands-on craft activities, and demonstrations of an imu, a traditional Hawaiian underground oven. It was a wonderful experience to learn, relax and explore the Hawai'i with my family (traveling with a senior)

Great location- near the historical part of Kona where there are shops (Macy’s, Walmart), markets, restaurants. Good, secure parking and a car is definitely required. Pool is lovely (and spa) and small beach out the front. Food in pool area was fabulous. Activities on offer were very good- tennis courts etc trips (manta rays a must do activity). Rooms serviced every 2 nights - this okay. Spacious lobby with a cluster of shops and coffee and an ABC store. Recommended highly.
