Great hotel. Close to Waikiki Beach and Diamondhead SP. Room was clean. Hotel has a Concierge for easy your planning. Restaurant is a bit expensive but that's Hawaii. Love the bar. Bathroom was clean but could use some updates. Took a star off for lack of onsite parking. Valet is come first, serve first. Once parking is at capacity, patrons have to look elsewhere.

Great spot in Waikiki.

Have stayed here often over the years but not recently until this stay, the upgrades to rooms and AC are outstanding and the whole place has been upgraded. For those coming from afar there are THREE ABC stores a phenom in Hawaii, within a few hundred yards of the Hotel meaning you could come with nothing and up to 11pm we well equipped for your stay. There is now a Coffee shop in the restaurant which produces fairly fast but food orders come from the restaurant two floors above and is slow....recommend Pool Deck restaurant with OUTSTANDING view of Diamond Head and nice clean pool....International Fave Smashed Avo on Toast was my top breakfast. Hotel is so close to the beach it has sand in the lobby and the Zoo with exotic animal sounds is right opposite. My biggest tip for this part of Honolulu is walk or UBER everywhere you DO NOT need the hassle of a Car. Kahala Mall a short UBER away has a California Pizza Kitchen and a Whole Foods.

My stay was fine. However, I did have some issues with paying for my stay with the credit card I brought which wasn’t in my own name. They said they don’t accept cards under other people’s names and I had to pay in cash, which was unplanned. I had no problems with using the card in any other hotels or shops so it was a bit of a nuisance. The amenities like the pool area were dated and not as pictured. In the pictures, the pool area had turf all around but it wasn’t that when I visited last week. The rooms were a bit dated as well… which seems to be the consensus in Waikiki all throughout.

Great location and friendly staff but kinda loud due to being on a busy corner. Room was just ok. No drawers so I felt like there was clutter everywhere. Pool was freezing (ocean was way warmer). And there must have been a lot of dust as we were both congested during our stay.

Everything was amazing except for our first room, that does not have a balcony. I believe it’s called Studio, the only problem with that one is that the air conditioning unit is right next to the bed, and it is old so not only is it cumbersome, but it sounds like the plane taking off all night long

Cute property in a great location. The rooms are still in the process of being upgraded. Perfect location. Parking is $40/day and the Amenity fee is around the same . So budget an extra $90-100 per night if you stay here.

I had a fantastic stay at Queen Kapiʻolani! I’ve always been curious about staying here but hesitated due to its distance from the Royal Hawaiian and direct beach access. I’m so glad I finally gave it a try—it exceeded my expectations! The deck remains a favorite spot, and the warm welcome gift (a refreshing POG beverage!) set the tone for a great visit. My room was perfect, featuring a stunning ocean view, and the staff were excellent during check-in and check-out. I’m already looking forward to future stays at Queen Kap. Highly recommended!

I loved the view of Diamondhead from the restaurant on site. The workout room was nice and had great equipment. Our room was cozy and gave a wonderful view of the pool, zoo, and beach. I got the best sleep in the most comfortable bed! The staff was very friendly and helpful when needed.

It looks very nice on the exterior, but the interior is dated. The mattress felt like the box springs were going to give through the mattress. The tub was stained, we knew it was clean because the room smelled like bleach upon entry. Spend the extra money and stay somewhere else.

Great value, good location, Waikiki.

Excellent value, and a good location. I had a great view of the ocean, and looking over the Honolulu zoo, and Diamondhead. The gym had all the necessary equipment to get in a good workout, and the pool while not large, was beautifully maintained. Nice coffee, shop downstairs, and valet parking available. I enjoyed my stay here.
