It was important for my family to find a place that was close to Queen’s Medical Center as we were there to visit family in the hospital. When researching, it looked like a great place and a convenient location.
Just before 11pm our experience started by being held up in a line at the parking garage gate for a while. Upon check in I asked if we were still going to be charged the $45.00 plus tax fee seeing as though it was close to midnight and was told yes.
The pictures shown on Expedia’s website for a Mountain View Room is definitely NOT what we checked in to (not even remotely close).
The room we checked into was completely outdated, the dishwasher had a note saying it’s out of order, the ceiling had remanence of a water leaks, the windows were not cleaned (hand prints), the drapes were dusty, there was an old musty smell, the bed was squeaky (just by bumping it) and uncomfortable, all furniture was old and damaged.
There were so many other hotels we could have booked. I booked this hotel because of what I read and saw on Expedia’s website and thought it would be great accommodations knowing we were literally there to sleep and shower as we spent most time in the hospital…only to be disappointed!
I booked this hotel for two nights (checked in before midnight and checked out at 5:30am) and paid $534.00 + just under $100.00 for parking. Save your money, it was not worth it and definitely had zero value.
