This hotel is under total reconstruction. I was not informed about this prior to my arrival or when I booked the hotel. Noisy, safety issues, food quality was poor, yet the staff was pleasant and professional under the circumstances. Not a good choice of hotels.
Enjoyed this hotel a great deal , will be back. Hopefully next time will be with family on a vacation instead of for work. The location is great. Didn't have to go far for food, nail salon, grocery store, Target, etc.
We stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn Las Colinas for a family trip. It was a great location that did not involve having to be in the crazy Dallas traffic. We chose it because it was near family, but was extremely pleased with the location because of the easy on/off of the highways we used for our adventures. This area of Irving was clean, had a country feel, and close by the Grapevine area that we were interested in. This hotel had a small pool, but was warmed, so my son was able to swim and play (burn off energy) in Mid March. Always a plus. The hotel was extremely clean and detail was given to the carpentry/update that showed it was done right. The only thing I would have preferred would have been a complimentary breakfast. It seemed geared for business stay. I was warmly greeted by Memuna, who went above standards to welcome me and make sure I had everything I needed, including the room with the view I wanted. She is definitely an asset and made me feel like I was a special guest.
We didn't check in until 1AM after driving from the ballpark in Frisco. We sat through a long college baseball game in the rain and were soggy and tired. Check-in was quick and we made it to our room. The room temperature was cool so we had to crank on the heat, but it warmed up quickly. We love the Temperpedic beds and went right to sleep. Breakfast was wonderful. It was nice having a server who was attentive to our needs, filling juice and coffee as he made sure our omelettes were perfect. The entire staff of this property was very good. It was a short stay and quick turnaround, so we hope we can return in the future.
The place is a bit pricey, but first class hotel. My friend and I split a suite for 2 nights for a conference. The sleeper on the couch was broken and I reported it to the front desk the next day. The man at the desk advised he will take care of it. Got to my room after midnight the second night and it was not fixed. I slept on the floor on the couch cushions. The bar is very nice and the 2 gentleman who served us went above and beyond for our group. The bartenders made the place worth staying at. I would have rated it perfect if it were not for my sleeper sofa being broke.
Stayed here for two nights for a family visit. From the moment you arrive you are meeted by friendly and efficient reception staff. Same with the morning breakfast team and good food. Big rooms and hotel has recently been refurbished with a lovely modern european style pool and garden area. Would deifantely come back.
Staff friendly, but the hotel is worn. Greeted by an..."old" odor as I walked to and in the room. Very load (75db on my iPhone app) AC unit when operating gave a very poor nights sleep. worn linens & mattress
We have been coming here annually for 5 years. We've always had wonderful service and the breakfast in the restaurant is excellent. It is also a great location since we were able to travel to multiple areas. I love that every room has a fridge in it too.
Andrew(I think that is his name) at the front desk on evening shift was helpful and knows how to treat guests with his sense of humor. We felt welcomed. One of the restaurant staff in AM. His name starts with J and says "Texas Ranger" on his name tag, under his name. You should feel lucky if he serves you breakfast. On my 2nd day at the breakfast, he sure remembered I drink a cup of tea. He pays attention. He's exceptionally pleasant and very helpful. Please pass them compliment. We've stayed 3 nights with a service dog. It was very comfortable stay and quiet rest after long drive. The room was cleaned everyday. The housekeepers did a great job!(the dog was shedding really bad) The bath products are my favorite brand ; Neutrogena. The towels were all thick, not paper thin worn out. Breakfast was surcharge(around $10). It was really good but the same menu all 3 mornings; cold meal(pastry, cereals, fresh fruit/yogurt), hot meal(eggs, sausage/bacon, pancakes, potatoes, biscuit and gravy). They also have "made to order omelet". Pancakes looked like they actually made there. I liked their salsa! The ice machine is right next the elevator on each floor. (It was not working on the 4th floor) It's close to shop and many restaurants. Also, close and easy to get on hwy. It was my first time at Hilton Garden. I think I liked it a lot!
Clean and quiet rooms, consistent breakfast and dinner and friendly staff. I stay here every time I'm in Irving and I take advantage of the shuttle to the office. The staff make you feel welcome. There are also fitness and laundry rooms.
