We had an event at the Westin Galleria, which was sold out, and this was the overflow hotel. Which also had events. Between the ethic congress and cheerleaders, the place was over run and chaotic. I checked in at 4pm from overseas flight and my room wasn't ready. Really? When I did get checked in, she asked me if I wanted a late check out. Perhaps if the front desk wouldn't provide late checkouts, rooms would be ready on time. The room was good size, bed comfy, but the towels were on the level of model 6. I did not receive notification that my FedEx package arrived, I had to hunt it down and they "misplaced" a colleagues luggage. I would select another hotel next time.
Hotel was fine. Spacious room, comfortable bed, etc. but Bar 1856 is exceptional. If you have any interest in cocktails or spirits (I myself have a particular fondness for bourbon and rye), you would hard-pressed to find someone more knowledgeable than Jeff. He guided us through the local offerings as well as some of his favorite pours, including some hard to find bottles, all very reasonably priced. And he makes a mean cocktail. When I come back to Dallas, I will stay here just to drink with him.
Stayed here for two months while going through training for a new job. Very nice hotel but not much within walking distance. If you are platinum member check out free breakfast and drinks/appetizers on the 18th floor.
We stayed at The Westin for my daughters wedding and found the hotel very welcoming for myself, my wife, our family and friends attending. The rooms were wonderful, the food was great and the staff was expertly accommodating. Thank you for a great experience.
I am a Marriott persdon all the way but this hotel surpasses that service. Great valet service that will shuttle you within 5 miles... so no need for car. Workers smeil and greet you in a nice manner. Great beds and ammenities. The only down side is that it is in the middle of nowhere.
I had great help from Oscar in the restaurant with a to-go order and Lawrence who brought up room service was patient and kind...but everyone on staff that we've encountered so far has gone the extra mile and we appreciate that so much.
The hotel is immaculate. Everything is clean, neat, and comforting. The bed was amazingly comfortable. The rooms are very nice and the lighting can be adjusted to suit your needs. There was a welcoming, festive atmosphere in the lobby/lounge area but my room was super quiet. I couldn't hear anything beyond the door and that was great.
After mistakingly going to the Westin Galleria, I arrived a bit frazzled at the Westin Park Central for a professional conference. I checked into the hotel for one night; my spouse was also checking into the hotel the next day but had a 9 pm arrival time. We work at different universities, so we had to use our respective company credit cards to pay for the two nights. I explained the situation to Anthony. I called my husband, who verified everything with Anthony, and I was added to his reservation and moved into the room without having to store my luggage and wait for his arrival. Anthony was great! I will stay at Westin Park Central again, but only if Anthony is working during my visit! - Gwen G
Kevin, Bellman, was very personable, pleasant, helpful, and knowledgeable. He assisted in quickly unloading and loading crates for our booth. He greeted everyone in his path and stopped to help anyone he could. When the elevator got stuck for a few minutes he kept reassuring us that everything would be alright. He handled our property as if it was his own. We observed him loading another vendor providing the same awesome service. Mr. Kevin is a definite asset to your staff and deserving of a promotion and raise. He showed that he had a heart for what he was doing as well as displaying a spirit of excellence. He provided valuable information and directions for parking, hotel services, and local destinations all outside the scope of his duties. Can't say enough about the service he provided.
Wow! The women at the front desk, Diane & Nina gave us the best experience. So nice after a long drive. Good job Westin! These people are really good at their job. Whether it's their training or just good screening, Diane and Nina represent you well.
