Magnolia Hotel Dallas Downtown

Located in the heart of downtown next to the Joule and Niemans I was taken by the hotel's claim to be a boutique and its iconic location. Arriving at the hotel I was immediately disappointed by the uninspired lobby. The check in experience wasn't terrible but the staff's lack of understanding of the area and where I could get a late dinner was disappointing. I was located on the 22nd floor which definitely afforded some nicer views. If you stay in Dallas as much as I do you'll be happy to look at anything that isn't a parking lot. The room layout was quite decent but everything felt tired. The bed was quite comfortable but the desk and drawers looked knocked abut and in the bathroom the floor was spongy and many tiles were cracked. I wouldn't stay here again if I could help it but if it were the only option I wouldn't whine too much.

The hotel is really pretty but the rooms are a little dated and older feeling. Our room had windows on three sides with views which was great but then there was rope and mesh over all of them obstructing the view. Not sure why. Overall just eh. For the money I think there are nicer places downtown.

Pleasant surprise in the heart of downtown Dallas.

The hotel is beaten down and needs new carpet, paint, and furniture. I think they are using a chemical like Febreze all over because there was a strong chemical smell everwhere. I had a headache all day from it.

Great location for any downtown business. Easy in and out of downtown access.

Great location in downtown and easy to walk to things.

I loved the location of the hotel in itsome proximity to bars and restaurants. And the hotel staff as well as the valet were all very helpful. The only reasons I can't give it 5 starts is 1) the rooms seem a little dated and 2) the pipes burst during our stay so only one elevator was working. I know this isn't the hotel's fault but we had to wait 15 minutes for an elevator multiple times and call the front desk to have someone manually pick us up. Wouldn't be an issue but another guest said this was a frequent occurrence at this hotel.

Was a wonderful trip loved the room everyone over knowledgeable and friendly. Would definitely stay again and recommend.

the lighting of the hotel is beautiful and the complimentary breakfast was great. it was nice that hotel provided valet parking which I was not expecting the .....very accommodating thank you for a great experience

The Magnolia Hotel was centrally located, clean, and a good home base for our quick weekend trip.

I had an issue at first, but the hotel staff was very understanding and corrected it promptly.

Great view of Downtown from this more than 20 story hotel.

A great place to have a beautiful, yet boutique stay.

I'm a native of Dallas, and have stayed here many times, most recently on my honeymoon night. It's a great hotel, in a renovated historic building. It has character, but still feels new and very comfortable. It's in a great location, within walking distance to lots of food and drink options, and within walking distance to the arts district and other downtown destinations. I'd highly recommend this hotel, it's a great deal for the cost.

Good location, valet is a pain. I despise valet parking. However I would stay there again.

I love the history of the hotel and how they honor the building past. It is a Landmark building, well preserved and loved. Great staff all around, but the breakfast buffet could have more items to choose from, it is very limited and it doesn't change much from one day to the other. The location is great, I was able to walk to City Hall, the Reunion Tower and to the Arts District, I will go back to the Magnolia Dallas Downtown,

Fantastic. Was nicer than many hotels I've stayed in that were double in price.

Really great section of the city. Only downside is very limited parking, so if you're driving to other parts of Dallas each day you pretty much have to use Valet.

This was a last minute getaway from outskirts of Dallas and it was very well priced which is why I picked this hotel. We didnt spend much time at the hotel but for the time we did it was a nice hotel with friendly employees.
