The hotel was perfect for what we needed. We wanted to be close to the Southside Ballroom, and we were less than a block away. The hotel itself is super cute and the staff was great. The rooftop bar and pool were amazing and we spent a few hours working and eating and drinking. The rooms are decorated really well, will come back for sure!
This is an interesting hotel. The decor is cool if you like that exposed-pipe, bare floor, intentional-patina look. On the other hand, the practical consideration of walking across concrete instead of carpet to get to the bathroom in the middle of the night is a thing. The rooftop pool is lovely. The first day I stayed they had a DJ up there and it was a pretty great party for a Monday afternoon. Wonderful view of the city. The staff is pleasant and helpful. They let me get away with a few things. I appreciate a no-harm no-foul attitude about my behavior, considering I am a guest. Example, the manager caught me sneaking a cigarette in an isolated corner of the roof, but he just walked away without chastising me. They have a mask policy in the lobby but I walked through there without one a few times and didn't get hassled over it. These things count with me. The shower was fantastic. Roomy, great water pressure, and hot. I would rate this hotel as Excellent except for the elevator. Every elevator ride is an adventure. It's a room card-activated elevator, but the card-reader is a bit wonky. Sometimes you can get where you're going with no problem, other times you have to scan your card multiple times, other times you have to literally step off the elevator and hit the Call button again in order to reset the card-reader. Definitely a hassle, and only one working elevator out of two.
Loved our stay here. Staff was very kind and helpful particularly Abraham. We had an incident during our last night stay where the people in the room next to us had a screaming session off and on for about two hours. It was not fun. The woman at the front desk did send the security guard one time and then she went to their door a second time. It was kind of a bummer as we were hoping to get a good night's sleep since we were facing a very early morning flight. It would not prevent us from staying again....we love the artsy funky feeling of this place and the art work is fabulous.
The room was huge, the bed was ridiculously comfortable & the hotel itself was really cool looking.
THE VIEW FROM THE BAR WAS GREAT BUT MY OVERALL EXPERIENCE WAS HORRIBLE LEFT MY CARD W THE HOTEL BAR AND MY CARD WAS CHARGED FOR SOMEONE ELSES BILL. GIRLFRIEND AND I BOTH GOT SICK SO WE LEFT THE BAR EARLY. WE THREW UP ALL MORNING AND WE LEFT BEFORE CHECKOUT BECAUSE YOU CAN HEAR EVERYTHING IN THE FROM PEOPLE TALKING TO TOILETS FLUSHING. FELT LIKE I WAS SLEEPING IN A JANITORS CLOSET
Staff was friendly and attentive - great view from the rooftop bar/pool. Perfect quick getaway.
Hotel is all about art. Great rooftop bar and pool. View was incredible. Staff were so nice.
I liked that it wasnt the standard drywall and paint look.
Nice-ish hotel. Staff was friendly and helpful, hotel is stylish, but the hotel is a giant party scenes with people drunk in the hallways at 3 am. Tried to get food in the restaurant at 10 pm and it was packed with partiers. Ordered room service and it was not great. Would not return. Also wifi sucks.
