I enjoyed the view of the skyline
It was a different experience I do have to say. We got that specific hotel room because we enjoy the balcony scenery and my husband and I were attempting to open the sliding door to find out it was completely cracked and the room was actually under maintenance repairing it, which I don’t understand why we were placed in it. So then we had to move rooms, which wasn’t a problem with customer service it was just a confusion. Then after we got moved in the rest room sink the fossil kept squirting out water on the opposite sides randomly while open making a mess. And after we took a shower the next morning we found pieces of the sink from under fell on floor.
we stayed at the Crown Plaza expecting a nice, upscale weekend. instead we had a sub par, quality inn experience. Elevator issues, we were stuck on our floor for over an hour the first day, and over 15 minutes day 2. the housekeeping staff was more concerned about us then the hotel staff. room was clean and comfortable. Hotel experience was way below expectation
Nice there was parking there. Did not care for how the valet parking made it hard to get back into the hotel at night by parking the cars too close together infront of the doors.
The carpet in my suite was soaking wet next to the bathroom for the duration of my stay. The shower knob did not function correctly so did not allow for temperature adjustment.
No towels, booked with breakfast but they didn’t show that. No towels at the pool. Pool was disgusting. People smoking, garbage and cigarettes everywhere. What looked like poop in the pool.
While the area around the hotel is a bit interesting, the hotel serves a purpose. It is secure, clean, unmodernize, and of good value.
Pool was freezing, not enough lounging chairs. Wish the parking was free or at least one set price
My room was very nice and quiet I would definitely stay here again
Cocockroaches and very out of date infrastructure. Poor parking, 6,4” clearance. Poor air conditioning.
The property was very old and not well maintained. The rooms didn’t look like the pictures on the site. It was surprising because this is the Dallas Downtown area. The conditions of the exterior of the property felt unsafe. The rooms had a dinginess to them. I was told I would have a city view but had a view of a brick wall. The king size bedroom had kitchen cabinets in the room and it wasn’t a place us was willing to sleep or stay in as a guest. I told the desk staff of my concerns.
Issues with the toilet and the breakfast buffet wasn't available during our stay. Lication was GREAT!!
It was okay. The room was better than expected based on the condition of the elevators and lobby.
We've previously stayed at this location but it was pre-covid. There was no longer valet or a breakfast buffet but breakfast was so being served off the main menu. Our room was clean and comfortable and the view from our balcony was amazing. The front desk only had one person but he was juggling check in's and the phone ringing like crazy with ease. The area outside the hotel is a little sketch but you're in the heart of downtown so that's to be expected. All in all it was a good experience.
Walking up to the property I had my doubts, and on the way to my room it looked like the 8th floor was going through some serious renovations, but my room and the lobby were very clean and comfortable. They held my bag for me since I had an afternoon flight, and I was able to check out Dealey Plaza and a couple of museums. Then I walked 1 block to the orange line and had a straight 45 minute ride to the airport. Great price, great location, great hotel.
Bugs in the bathrooms. Amenities and room dirty. The garbage cans in the parking lot were full and there was trash all over the floor and elevator/stairs, looks like it has been weeks since they've clean the garage and/or clenaned out the garbage cans. Overall a very dirty Hotel. Customer service okay. Will not recommend nor come back to this Hotel.
