Nice hotel and GREAT location. Doing some remodeling made it a bit messy. Still would stay there any time!

The room wasn't what I reserved, parking was extra, i didn't find out until check in and there was a weird bug in my bed on the first night. the balcony doors were all taped up. the bathtub was mostly clogged. drained eventually...

I’ll start by saying the staff was very friendly and the rooms were clean which in my opinion is the most important thing about a hotel. I understand the hotel is going through some renovations, but the overall feel of it was just worn down. It needs an upgrade. However it wasn’t a bad place to lay your head for the night.

Needs to be updated desperately. Could not get our room cleaned.

Staff was good. Hotel is old and it needs major renovation. The room was clean though and they could new mattress.

Room had roaches. Young adults running round Saturday night pulling fire alarms

Very nice staff. Gave great advice about the area!

I know they are doing renovations but the room in general is small and the decor is flat. The shampoo smells great. The micro fridge kept my stiff cool until I got home (a few hours) which is great. Yhe staff was very nice thoigh. I understand the location is downtown but I questioned as a single woman walking anywhere anywhere at night. The train is close so it would be good for public transportation. I tried the restaurant which was okay but nothing to write home about.

Room was being renovated. Closet, end table, bed incomplete

Centrally located, but not particularly visually inviting. Didn't make it up to the pool in the picture due to the two weeks of rain in Dallas. Room was clean-ish, but a bit dark due to only a partial window. Recent paint work was sloppy, partially covering the metal trim around the windows. Complimentary water bottle was nice. Bed was comfortable.

When i arrived at the hote for check in, there was a line and only one lady at the desk, she seemed overwhelmed but was still very patient and friendly. After i got my room key and went upstairs i was disappointed to find out the room i paid for was not what i was given but the room was clean and well maintained... after freshing up i went downstairs to their restaurant to get dinner the host was the bartender and said i could seat anywhere since it was almost10pm and i was the only person, even after telling her i was starving, i did not get a menu till 20 min later the food took forever to get to me and when i finally got it the mashed potatoes was frozen in the center. I complained to the server but he gave me the " what do you expect me to do look". The orginal plan was to stay for 2 nights but i cut my visit short for an emergency the guy at reception when i checking out was not friendly, it was almost like he was ready to get me out of his sight. My overall experience at crowne plaza downtown Dallas was neutral, as a customer service agent also i guess we have good days and bad days at work

it was ok..it would be nice if they put some bottles of water in the room.

Great location. Close to everything you want to be close to. Hotel itself is in desperate need of a face lift. From carpets to cielings. We were only in the room at night so it wasn’t a big deal to us.

Refrigerator made awful noise had to unplug it. Also the ac made a horrible noise had to set it to 85 so it wouldn’t come on. Pool had bugs all in it my daughter wouldn’t swim. Breakfast was cold at 9am and the glasses had lipstick on them. I traveled from Houston to Baton Rouge, to Florida, to New Orleans the to Dallas. And among all the hotels had no issues until I got here. Beds were clean and shower was hot. Other then that the hotel had a smell! They must be under construction or something. Male workers in hallways talking loud at midnight! Carpet needs updating and it smelled. I don’t usually complain at hotels unless it’s super bad. But this hotel is listed as a 4 Star hotel ! I mean come on?

Rooms are under remodeling. First room we were in had the balcony secured for “our safety,” Brown splatter on the lampshade, refrigerator unplugged, A/C stopped working, smelled like smoke, and was not updated to match photos online of hotel rooms. They moved us to another room but didn’t have any with a king bed left so we had to settle for a full size. Toilet was broken there and had to have it fixed. Hoped to have breakfast comped but didn’t happen. Won’t be staying here again.

As of 7.10.18 they’re in the middle of renovating rooms. Our room was very basic, and dated, but cleanly. The outdoor pool was our go to location at the hotel. Located close to many great restaurants and museums. Half hour walk from Deep Ellum. Overall a nice stay, but definitely needs the renovations happening right now.

Overall satisfied with the hotel based on how accessible it was. However, the hotel appears to have been well used and needs a refresher in the rooms and on the floors. The star rating of 3 would be about accurate based on appears and comfort. For a Crowne, I had expected a bit more. The Internet connection was the other frustrating thing throughout the entire stay. It was constantly dropping and needing to refresh or log back on. For business travel definitely not the ideal.

Hello Anonymous, I do apologized that you did not get the room that you had booked. I am sorry the website did not show that parking was an extra charge and I will work with them to get that corrected. I will work with housekeeping about the issue with the bug. I am sorry that should not have been missed. Engineering has been informed of the rooms with a balcony that had the tape issue to correct this issue. Thank you for taking the time to give us your feedback on your stay that way that we can correct these items for the next stay. Thank you,
