Crowne Plaza Hotel Dallas Downtown

3.5 out of 5.0

Recent guest reviews

We had a wonderful time here at the Crowne Plaza...Great location...the food in the restaurant was decent but definitely close to other restaurants...although the weather was cool and we didn't swim...we loved the pool area that over looked parts of the city, we made some beautiful memories dancing out under the stars....:) (although the stars was covered by the clouds) Will we go back to the Crowne Plaza in Dallas Texas????? Heck yeah we will....I hope to visit again really soon!!

I would not recommend this hotel. Bad staff, not clean. If you want to be asking for towels or for them to clean your room or overpay for parking, then this is the place to stay. If you go to the pool make sure you take towels as there were never any. The lights to the pool or the patio do not turn on.

Waited awhile to get checked in and employee staff arent on the same page with each other. Some know whats going on, others dont. One said there was only a breakfast buffet and we found out theres ala carte as well. We got stuck in the stairwell because it apparently was a fire exit but there were no signs on our floor. We talked to someone about it and he treated us like we were dumb and said there are signs. Another thing is we called down to get a blow dryer brought up, they said someone would right away. We waited quite awhile and called again. Now a lady said there should be one hanging behind our bathroom door in a bag. Why werent we told that the first time?! Anyway, we complained and they gave us 2 free breakfast buffet tickets which was nice.

Pretty run down, elevators are downright scary. Overall the place is not great, but the bed was clean and comfortable, so not horrible.

After registering late for a conference being held in a different downtown Dallas hotel, I found that the deadline for guaranteed room rates at the host hotel had passed, and those rooms were now crazy expensive. So when I found this Crowne Plaza it was a relative bargain. Overall good. Some things seemed a bit worn but no specific complaints. The staff was gracious and the free shuttle took me around as needed. All in all a good restaurant and relative bargain.

This hotel is well situated, but has definitely seen better days. Some work is definitely needed in order to get higher ratings

So the hotel was amazing! The room was clean and beds were comfortable. My only issue was parking was not included in the hotel. You had to pay $16/day to self park or $30/day to valet in a nearby parking garage. Definitely wish it was included but overall good place.

Was. It as updated as other Crowne Plazas I have stayed at. Once you get past the lobby, the rest of the hotel is a bit dated. The room smelled a little musty, but was overall clean and the bed was very comfortable. Bathroom was small, but shower was good. No breakfast included. There is a free shuttle that will take you within 3 miles of the hotel. The pool on the 9th floor was cloudy and the area around it needs attention, but there are a few cabanas surrounding iit. Overall, my experience was good, and I would recommend staying here.

The hotel was just right for the purpose of my trip. Located in downtown Dallas close to all the attractions and great food. Also, the bartenders and valet staff were very helpful and informative! CON: The hotel could use some upgrading. Hallways were a little dark and felt muggy at times. Other than that, I would definitely stay again.

Staff was excellent. Growing up in Dallas I did not take advantage of the "Tourist" attractions however, if that is why you are visiting It is an outstanding location to see what downtown has to offer. The property is a bit dated but clean. I would stay on the property again if the need arises.

They didn't come clean her room two days in a row we had a hole in her comforter when we first got there the room stank the bathroom wouldn't drain we could hear our next door neighbors having sex no no we're not

excellent & friendly front desk staff, comfortable room

Convenient hotel. Not up to Crowne Plaza name expectations. Rooms typical Urban hotels size. North side of the hotel is public transportation hub and is a distressed. Other sides are nice. Walk-able to good food places.

It was the perfect spot to be in. The convention center, where I went to daily for seminars was down the street. I often used the free shuttle service that other hotels did not offer. It was very convenient especially during inclement weather.

Excellent location, very close to tourist sites such as the zoo and aquarium, the Reunion Tower, The Sixth Floor Musseum, Perot museum, excellent Wi-Fi coverage, so many things. The stay was very pleasant.

Overall this hotel was a solid 3.5 stars. It was clean, centrally located and for the most part, quiet. My room had a fridge and all the normal amenities. Only downside, the television reception stunk. Channels kept losing signal and were going in and out. The hotel is just a couple blocks from Dealey Plaza and within walking distance of tons of restaurants and other attractions.

The Manager of the Shuttle, Silvia was the best customer service person I have ever encountered. She is truly blessed and a blessing. The food in Thrive was very good as well.

very old. parking is not included and it does not look clean.

Very disappointing room wasn't clean Wi-Fi didn't work and parking was horrible.

Corporate should tour this place. It's mediocre at best. The parking garage and stairwells are filthy. Room was clean but lots of wear and tear in the room. Shower handle was broken, forcing me to take cold showers. Multiple dents in the doors and chipped paint everywhere. Doesn't even compare to the Crowne plaza in Bloomington MN.

Dear Holly, Thank you for staying with us at the Crowne Plaza Dallas Downtown and for sharing your experience. We apologize that we have a number of new staff members at the front desk, that during your stay had only been with us for 3 or 4 days, and it appears passed along some bad information to you in regards to the breakfast buffet and the hair dryers being in the room. As for the fire exits, we are sorry if the sign marking these as exit only or fire escapes was missing from your floor. We will address this immediately. Thank you again for staying with us and sharing your opinions. Sincerely, Brian Angerer Assistant General Manager Crowne Plaza Dallas Downtown
