Crowne Plaza Hotel Dallas Downtown

3.5 out of 5.0

Recent guest reviews

It was the perfect spot to be in. The convention center, where I went to daily for seminars was down the street. I often used the free shuttle service that other hotels did not offer. It was very convenient especially during inclement weather.

Excellent location, very close to tourist sites such as the zoo and aquarium, the Reunion Tower, The Sixth Floor Musseum, Perot museum, excellent Wi-Fi coverage, so many things. The stay was very pleasant.

Overall this hotel was a solid 3.5 stars. It was clean, centrally located and for the most part, quiet. My room had a fridge and all the normal amenities. Only downside, the television reception stunk. Channels kept losing signal and were going in and out. The hotel is just a couple blocks from Dealey Plaza and within walking distance of tons of restaurants and other attractions.

The Manager of the Shuttle, Silvia was the best customer service person I have ever encountered. She is truly blessed and a blessing. The food in Thrive was very good as well.

very old. parking is not included and it does not look clean.

Very disappointing room wasn't clean Wi-Fi didn't work and parking was horrible.

Corporate should tour this place. It's mediocre at best. The parking garage and stairwells are filthy. Room was clean but lots of wear and tear in the room. Shower handle was broken, forcing me to take cold showers. Multiple dents in the doors and chipped paint everywhere. Doesn't even compare to the Crowne plaza in Bloomington MN.

Hotel is an old building so the rooms are very small by modern standards. Our room had a faint mustiness to it when you first entered. The bathroom is much too small for a respectable hotel; you could barely close the door while inside. Also the A/C was very loud.

Great hotel to stay in, close to attractions and public transit. Within 10 minute walking distance to Reunion Tower and Dallas Union Station. Has its own parking garage below the hotel. Depending on location of room, great view of the Dallas Skyline.

my first few nights where fine than Fri night came and I had to ask them 3 times to ask the girls in the room to settle down I had a 6:30 AM flight. the third time after 3AM I finally just got up and left the hotel as it was imposable to sleep with the noise next to me.

If you're low maintence, this hotel is totally fine. We aren't too picky when it comes to hotel but we weren't impressed with this place. Their was not ventilation in the room so when you shower it turns the whole room into a jungle. The bed is super uncomfortable and the blankets are paper thin. We were so cold at night. The temperature in the room is either steamy or freezing. The place is not maintained well. Cracks in the walls and stains on the carpet. However, the place turns into a night club at night so if you're into that, you'll love it. Overall, I wasn't impressed, but it was okay for a quick get away where you spend little to no time in the room.

Didn't like the fact that it has a nightclub in the lobby. Everytime I wanted to go to my room after 2 a.m there was always a fight or two by nightclub goers or just drunks hanging around in the lobby. The location of hotel is not that great either, so please do not walk around at night time. The room was very clean when I arrived. The last night I stayed there was music playing all night, in which I couldn't sleep, don't know if it was the room next door to me or outside the hotel, but I was not able to sleep.

Was in town for a marathon. Hotel is walkable to all I wanted to see and do. Right on the bus and light rail to use DART. Room was clean and comfortable. Quiet too

The front desk was great but the valet and shuttle service is horrible. They have the wrong people working in customer service. The concierge was not that helpful. He sent me to a western store for item they did not have and he was not as informative of all of the locations he was trying to send us to. The neighborhhood that the hotel is located in is kind of rough. Stay on the front of the building because the back are is sketchy.

Stayed here two days for conference. Hotel staff were polite although at certain hours, they were understaffed which delays service. Room was clean. Bus depot near hotel is a little concerning (lots of homeless gather their during evening). As long as you avoid the bus depot this is a great hotel.

Nice hotel room and bathroom although shower head is mounted for short people. Loved the bed and free internet. Bring your own quarters if you want to use washer/dryers. No change machine there And front desk/bar doesn't seem to have any. The washer/dryers were great to have. 1 of my things I look for as I travel light, especially with the airline fees now. Workout room was nice. Pool view was too. Restaurant pricey even with 20% off. Small diner few blocks down way cheaper. Watch your back at night around corner from front entrance/club. Was thankful for police presence. Parking is $16/day, something I must have missed at booking. Very little if any street parking. Pretty much offset savings from package from staying somewhere else. If you are a BoA customer, hit BoA ATM across street early, hotel ATM fees over $5. Would still recommend though.

Great hotel. Good room and maid service but staff at hotel could be more cordial and nice with the people/customers.

Service at hotel was good however transportation was not. The van carried us to Target, but never came back for us.
