It's a very old building. The staff were nice and the location good, but I got up from the desk at night to find a cockroach scurrying across the floor. There was also a dead bug of some unknown kind in the bathroom. So while the sheets seemed clean, I don't know how great their overall cleaning regimen is.

The hotel staff are all rude. When I called at 1 am midnight to tell them there is no drinking water in my room and the vending machine in the floor is not working, they replied: "we don't have drinking water in the whole hotel" and cut the call. I called again to say that I am thirsty and what should I do, they replied: "we don't have dinking water, you go out to buy it" and cut the call. That was a rainy midnight in a downtown. Horrible. Then I went floor by floor to find a working vending machine to get a soda.

This hotel i a 1 star because the lobby is worn down, the carpet in the room was sticky, the location is terrible. This is a 1 start hotel. I complained to Orbitz and the hotel, tried to check out after the first night and Orbitz and the hotel manager fought me and said no way because it was 5pm at night. I want a refund from Orbit of $108 plus the tax. I wasn't in the room the 2nd day at all got back from my sales calls and went right to the desk to check out and the front desk said fine. Then Orbitz called the hotel manage and he was really unprofessional and said he wouldn't refund my 2nd night. I told him to check the room that I wasn't in it all day and it was cleaned after i left. he still refused to refund my money. please refund my $108.00 plus tax for my second night. I am very unhappy about your rating on this hotel. I went down the street to the Hyatt and it was 180 degrees better. They said that they only send 21 year old kids to the Crowne Royal. It is a dump, worst I've seen in 34 years of business travel.

Great Location for our visit! Walked to musuems & breweries. Courtesy van was great for availability in the area driver was pleasant and informative.

Scary , terrifying , room booked when arrived no rooms abatible a long long and frustrated people and I was with children . The lobby looked like a motel now a hotel .

Pretty great stay coming back to dallas in a few days and plan on staying again.

I like this hotel. Very convenient and staff is very polite

Hotel dirty and run down. Staff was great. Area is bad. Would not recommend

We had a wonderful time here at the Crowne Plaza...Great location...the food in the restaurant was decent but definitely close to other restaurants...although the weather was cool and we didn't swim...we loved the pool area that over looked parts of the city, we made some beautiful memories dancing out under the stars....:) (although the stars was covered by the clouds) Will we go back to the Crowne Plaza in Dallas Texas????? Heck yeah we will....I hope to visit again really soon!!

I would not recommend this hotel. Bad staff, not clean. If you want to be asking for towels or for them to clean your room or overpay for parking, then this is the place to stay. If you go to the pool make sure you take towels as there were never any. The lights to the pool or the patio do not turn on.

Waited awhile to get checked in and employee staff arent on the same page with each other. Some know whats going on, others dont. One said there was only a breakfast buffet and we found out theres ala carte as well. We got stuck in the stairwell because it apparently was a fire exit but there were no signs on our floor. We talked to someone about it and he treated us like we were dumb and said there are signs. Another thing is we called down to get a blow dryer brought up, they said someone would right away. We waited quite awhile and called again. Now a lady said there should be one hanging behind our bathroom door in a bag. Why werent we told that the first time?! Anyway, we complained and they gave us 2 free breakfast buffet tickets which was nice.

Pretty run down, elevators are downright scary. Overall the place is not great, but the bed was clean and comfortable, so not horrible.

After registering late for a conference being held in a different downtown Dallas hotel, I found that the deadline for guaranteed room rates at the host hotel had passed, and those rooms were now crazy expensive. So when I found this Crowne Plaza it was a relative bargain. Overall good. Some things seemed a bit worn but no specific complaints. The staff was gracious and the free shuttle took me around as needed. All in all a good restaurant and relative bargain.

This hotel is well situated, but has definitely seen better days. Some work is definitely needed in order to get higher ratings

So the hotel was amazing! The room was clean and beds were comfortable. My only issue was parking was not included in the hotel. You had to pay $16/day to self park or $30/day to valet in a nearby parking garage. Definitely wish it was included but overall good place.

Was. It as updated as other Crowne Plazas I have stayed at. Once you get past the lobby, the rest of the hotel is a bit dated. The room smelled a little musty, but was overall clean and the bed was very comfortable. Bathroom was small, but shower was good. No breakfast included. There is a free shuttle that will take you within 3 miles of the hotel. The pool on the 9th floor was cloudy and the area around it needs attention, but there are a few cabanas surrounding iit. Overall, my experience was good, and I would recommend staying here.

The hotel was just right for the purpose of my trip. Located in downtown Dallas close to all the attractions and great food. Also, the bartenders and valet staff were very helpful and informative! CON: The hotel could use some upgrading. Hallways were a little dark and felt muggy at times. Other than that, I would definitely stay again.

Staff was excellent. Growing up in Dallas I did not take advantage of the "Tourist" attractions however, if that is why you are visiting It is an outstanding location to see what downtown has to offer. The property is a bit dated but clean. I would stay on the property again if the need arises.

They didn't come clean her room two days in a row we had a hole in her comforter when we first got there the room stank the bathroom wouldn't drain we could hear our next door neighbors having sex no no we're not

excellent & friendly front desk staff, comfortable room
