The staff is friendly and courteous. The rooms are very comfortable and clean. This is a hassle free hotel. No hidden fees or troubles once you arrive you can rest assure you are going to enjoy the stay. The swimming pool is not big however it is clean and comfy. It's an indoor pool so there's no laying out in the sun. This hotel is very nice and comfy.

This hotel is nicely accessible for a Ballantyne area visit. Cheery personal and fun environment that includes the cafe, pool area and openness of the bar / seating area of the main entrance. Great for kids!!

Room was too small, especially bathroom. Good location with easy access. Priced as upscale property but lacked high end features.

The hotel was practically brand new and very clean. The staff was super friendly and the breakfast in the morning was well for the money! Also, they have a soccer field right across the street that seems open to the public.

Check in was a breeze. The night clerk was very informative, friendly and helpful. The rooms were very nice, clean and spacious. Only thing that was missing was a microwave. Overall, a great experience. Will definitely stay again!

Our stay at Aloft was great. The hotel staff was very helpful and friendly. I would definitely stay here again.

Modern hotel! Super confortable bed, great staff! Great location!

After 8 hours of driving from Tampa, the Aloft hotel was a welcomed break. Everything was very nice, neat and tidy. The staff was all very helpful, and the very best part was that they accept dogs! Had a lovely stay.

My husband and I were in town for a family wedding and this was our first time staying at an Aloft. I would definitely stay here again! It's ultra modern and very functional. I loved the glass shower and 2 complimentary bottled waters in the room (that also had a fridge). The bath products provided were also great, which I usually don't even use. My husband always forgets shaving cream and the front desk was out of it, so he used the lotion provided in the room. He said it worked better than shavig cream. There was also 2-in-1 shampoo/conditioner and body wash in pump containers in the shower which was very convenient. There's a bar downstairs and a pool table that we planned to use, but didn't have a chance to based on our time constraints. I don't think breakfast was included (which didn't matter this trip because we had to go to a family breakfast), but there was a little grab-and-go spot in the lobby, with a coffee/espresso machine. We plan to look for Alofts in other places we travel!

The staff at this hotel was fantastic- Always smiling, and greeting you as you walk in and asking if you need anything, or if you were enjoying your time in town. The room was large, beds, comfy, and totally clean. My nieces enjoyed the pool and my father enjoyed the pool table. Nice location, and close by to several restaurants.

This was my first stay at an Aloft hotel and I was very pleased. The rooms have an ulta modern layout which makes the most of the space in the room in a smart and very functionable way. It was very clean and inviting. The bed/linens looked very inviting. My only complaint is that it was a little hard for my liking. I thought I might wake up with a sore back but I didn't. The woman at the front desk was very friendly and informative. She also directed me to a shipping location near by and as i was headed back out to it, offered to call and make sure they were open before I made the trip. I will definitely stay at this Aloft again and will seek out some of their other locations on future trips.

The staff here was very friendly and the rooms were impeccably clean. It's got a younger vibe but I didn't mind that at all since I'm in my 20s and it seemed like the older people who were there (people older than my parents) were using it as a great excuse to let loose :)

My family stayed here during a recent visit to Charlotte over the 4th of July holiday. The staff was extremely courteous and made our stay comfortable. The hotel is super cool and quite contemporary. The contemporary design made it a bit less ideal for the whole family (4 of us). The Ballantyne area is beautiful and is this hotel!

I was in Charlotte to visit family and I couldn't have picked a better location. I was there for 3 nights. Since my family is scattered around the Charlotte and South Carolina area, it was centrally located. The Ballantyne area is very pristine and new. If you like to shop, there many malls, great stores, and really good restaurants in the area. Many within walking distance. The staff were super polite and accomodating from the moment I checked in with Hugh at the front desk. He recommended a perfect restaurant the first night. The hotel itself is very modern and clean. The design is very hip and the lobby is a great place to relax. My room was very airy and comfortable. High ceilings and no gaudy pictures on the walls to take away the roomy feel. The bed was super comfortable. Not too hard and not too soft and the sheets and linens were immaculate. A great desk area that has everything you need to recharge and hook up your phone and Ipad. It is one of the best hotels I've stayed in, and I will stay at the Ballantyne Aloft again in the future. When I travel to other cities, I will check to see if they have an Aloft, and that will be my hotel choice. Great, comfortable experience.

My Girlfriend and I Went to the hotel, as we drove up she noticed the "W"...lol...from the time we enter everything was simply Awesome. Now this is how a hotel should be. The Room, One Word "WOW" Simply Put, My girlfriend and I had a wonderful time and are looking forward to our next visit. Arthur & April, NYC

This was my first time staying in an aLoft hotel, and I was pleasantly satisfied! The contemporary design that the W hotels are known for showed true in this chain of hotels also. The bar, eating area and pool table in the lobby were a plus! The room was a nice size (not very big), but nicely designed and included free wireless that wasn't a hassle to set up like some hotels. The price was very reasonable and I would definitely recommend to anyone. I will probably be staying in an aLoft hotel if there is one where I'm traveling.

Great central location close to convention center, friendly staff, small but well appointed rooms. Very young vibe.

Very comfortable hotel. Reasonably priced lounge including appetizers. Nice ammenities.

We stayed at this hotel to attend a Panthers game and although I was concerned about the distance away from downtown it turned out very well. The Aloft has always been a hip hotel but the Ballantyne location is one of only two that has gone completely green. The electricity is powered through solar energy or something so you have to charge up the room using your key. Weird yet awesome all in one. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The area itself has come up in years so although it is a little way outside of the city of Charlotte it was will worth it. Their is a shopping center on the same street with plenty of options for food and fun. Plus the mall is only a couple exits down. Close to the new light rail system although you would need to drive to park there. We did not eat food but did stop by the bar for drinks and socializing. Try the Alohoa Sunset (Vanilla Pineapple infused tequila) it's to die for.

The hotel is brand new and has a very attentive & pleasent staff. As a business traveler I was happy with the service, the workout facilities and the room - albeit a bit small. The electronics in the room worked well and I was able to be very productive - free WiFi was nice. The halls seemed a bit noisy when people walked down them or let the doors slam. Overall a very positive experience and I plan to return.
