The hotel was listed as no smoking but had to pass through the smoking casino to get to the elevator. The smell of tobacco smoke followed us until we got to the room on the second floor. With us being on the second floor, we had a walk out balcony that had not been cleaned.

I'm not a gambler and don't like a lot of noise, but that is confined to the lobby, route to the elevators, and restaurant, not a problem in the room and didn't really bother me. Room was attractive, comfortable, in very good condition, clean, and usually quiet. Room cleaning is currently limited to once or twice a week, by appointment. Front desk was efficient, helpful, and pleasant. Restaurant is good though they didn't seem very enthusiastic about the hotel breakfast vouchers and wouldn't do substitutions to accommodate special diets, even after talking with the manager. They are considering changing the voucher to a credit, but that wouldn't go far against regular prices and would not be attractive to me. Plenty of good nearby restaurants for a change. Not far from downtown in one direction and the mall, such as it is, in the other. A good place.

Casino was nice with sports televisions and entertainment.

Wish I had stayed at Motel #. Room was on 5th floor, was noisy because of the elevator and A/C fans on the roof (1st floor). The bathtub drained very slowly, toilet is for a child and not for an average size person and did not flush properly, sink could't get cold water (only warm and hot ). Third day the room cleaning was poor, trash can left on table, no coffee or cups. That night a fire alarm went off. The third day we had to get the key cards re-activated, locked out of the room. Rooms on the west side will be the quiet side.
Checked and walked through smoky casino to elevator. Rooms were non-smoking, but the smell already permeated the building. Bed not that comfortable, tub creaked when I stepped in. Won't stay again.
This Wyndham Garden at Carson City has a Casino on the first floor, and there is no way to avoid it. There is a strong smell in the hallway and the room.
As with most casinos, very smokey. Hotel and guest rooms are in need of refurbishing but they are clean.
Asked for a quiet room and was told that rooms facing the street were actually quieter. We said that would be fine and we were given a room on the second floor facing an immense dish device with a fenced in balcony area with no view of anything except the large dish device. Upon leaving, we checked the room across the hall and it had a great view of the mountains and faced the street, the room we were suppose to have. They stressed three times that we could not smoke in the room or the balcony, even though we never mentioned that we don't smoke. If you stay in this hotel, don't get any rooms on the second floor!
This was the worst hotel EVER> From the staff, to the cleanliness. It was a terrible hotel. Infact, it was so bad I demanded my money back and left the hotel. We drove all the way back to Reno and stayed at a real hotel that cares about its establishment. I expected so much more based upon the name of the hotel chain but... NO. It was a disaster

Thank you for the feedback. The Casino and hotel are sepaarte entities. We are wroking to on a solution to reduce the smell of smoke in the elevators. The overallhotel will be undergoing a major renovation soon. We hope that you will come visit us again soon.
