Virgin River Hotel and Casino

2.5 out of 5.0

Recent guest reviews

Somewhere between a welfare hotel and a homeless shelter.

I love the price and the pool needs a tiny bit more attention to the room and more guest towels for the families that stay there

For $50 on a holiday weekend you can't beat the value. Easy access to the highway and a soft bed make it the perfect place for a quick stop over.

Convenient just off I-15, fun friendly and many friendly dogs with guests , great pool, food and fun.

Always feel comfortable staying at Virgin River. I like that the buildings are away from the casino and prices are very good.

Senior Women's softball tournament every year in April - usually always book at Virgin River since it is very close to the fields. Quick registration, clean and comfortable rooms, elevators in each building, pools with hot tubs and good food at reasonable prices in restaurant. Lots of gambling in the casino if that is what you like.

We enjoyed our selves very much! Clean & pleasant.

There is a lot of free parking, including parking in the back for oversize vehicles. Because the hotel is divided into 7 buildings, it is easy to find a parking place near the entrance to one's room. The buildings are 3 stories, but there are elevators. I'm 67, and I didn't find it difficult to walk up the stairs to the 3d floor. The rooms are large. I had one with 2 queen size beds and there was plenty of space to walk around the beds. Considering the price, I thought it was a great value.

The beds are comfortable and the water pressure in the showers are awesome. Love the hot tub and pool. Cocktail waitress is quick with drinks when gambling. Check in and out was quick and friendly without long lines.

Stay was nice. Hot tubb worked. Beds are very comfortable.

This is an easy place to stop for a night at a bargain price. The rooms are a bit tired, but the beds are comfortable. The downside is that you must walk through a smoke filled casino to check in, and to get to the restaurants.

This hotel casino is an inexpensive stay if you have dogs. One entire building is used for such. Don't try to Check in early. When they say 4:00, they mean it. Better like long lines. The room has not been updated in many decades. Good.

check in was efficient. check out was swift. Food was reasonable at Virgin River Buffet. Price was reasonable.

Great for what we needed. Friendly employees. Close to the race track.

The prime rib was wonderful. The chocolate cake needed a side glass of milk it was so rich.

Could have been better if someone didnt pull the fire alarm at like 2in the morning. Took like 10 mins for them to turn it off.

It was just a getaway for a St. George couple. We came on a Saturday night to have a fun night together.

We made this a brief overnight stop on a road trip based on a friend's recommendation. First, they are dog friendly without charging a small fortune to have your four footed family with you. Our room was basic and extremely clean! The all wood floor was a nice because I felt it could easily be cleaned. Our buddy did not spend the night sniffing everywhere. The bedspread had snags and pulls, but no odor, making me think they used older linens for dog rooms. The "Specials" in the Cafe were as good as our friend said, making this a good place for an overnight stop. Drawbacks were, the long line to check-in took over 30 minutes with only two or three employees at the counter. Bigger drawback. You are at the edge of the casino where smoking is still allowed. Can't smoke in line to check-in, but you are standing right next to people puffing away. The cigarette smoke stench is overwhelming in the hotel lobby. Two of the three employees at the check-in counter were also taking phone calls which delayed check-in further. Overall, good ratings for room, cleanliness and Cafe service and food. Not great rating for check-in service, length of time and smoke filled area of lobby.

I was surprised at the size of the facility upon arrival. Although the rooms were older...the beds seemed new and were great. New carpet and updated paint colors. Although the vanity was older there was nothing wrong with it. Even though the place was packed (a Friday night) our room was quiet. Nice table and chairs to eat our takeout. We were just "passing through" and did not use the pool or visit the casino.

Well worth the price if you book well in advance,Have stayed here 3 years in row and have noticed improvement particularly in staff, resulting in all around good service.
