The lobby stunk so bad it made you gag. Luckily, the room did not smell, but you could hear everything in the hallway and the elephant staying in the floor above ours. Bubba Gumps restaurant was terrible. The food tasted old and stale or freezer burned and was nothing close to hot.

The beds are comfortable. We love Golden Nugget properties. Very clean and immaculate. Although the property is a bit outdated, the cleanliness factor is good. The customer service is excellent and housekeeping is responsive to my needs.

Both Hotels.com and front desk charged us resort fees. When shown to the front desk they could have cared less. Said sorry and left the charge as is. Being in the AZ and NV border was confusing enough and to add to it the hotel never changed their clock for daylight savings time so we were a mess trying to get to appointments because you couldn’t always rely on the time switching on your phone when traveling back and forth. Our room was double digits to add a dog was triple digits. I asked if they had a dog park w rides for that price.

I booked two rooms with you guys under my name and said I had 3 adults and 2 kids with our party. I put my dads name dad as guest two but i still paid for all of the rooms and on my end from Expedia it was all under me. My dad got sick Friday and was unable to come which we understood we wouldn’t get the refund but thought we would still get the second room so we could spread out at bit and it would be easier to do baths and showers. They wouldn’t allow me to check into the room even though it was on my card and the entire booking was in my name. So my dad had to call golden nugget and Expedia to get that sorted out - that got taken care of we went to get the second room and they said no it’s still in his name sorry (mind you when i checked in I got email confirmations for both rooms which I showed them and they could see I paid for both) Anyway they called me 15 mins later and said I could come get the room. It wasn’t even in the same tower. So my question to Expedia is why would I book two rooms for my family and get here and have them be across property from each other? It showed us that booked rooms with a 3rd party is not the way to go
