I always liked staying at the Golden Nugget. I mean it's an older hotel so I know what I'm getting, but the front desk staff is always nice and the price is reasonable. I usually like to play the tables or the electronic poker at the bar, but this time around it seemed like the dealers/bar tenders weren't as friendly as usual. If the dealers fun then people will continue to play, even if they are losing. I usually play roulette for hours but stopped after about 15 minutes. Also the "lounge" on Sunday was packed for football and one server randomly wandered around but never approached any of the tables. It was weird and annoying. I waited for 10 minutes at the bar to order a drink and when he seemed uninterested I got a beer from my room and came back down. I like you Golden Nugget and I want to keep coming back but you need to step it up next time or I'll look elsewhere.

Laughlin in general is outdated and feels dirty. The Golden Nugget was no exception. The rooms in the West wing were extremely dated. It felt like an old Holiday Inn. The water didn't drain in the si k or tub and there was a rotten egg smell. It was otherwise clean. The casino doesn't have all the latest games so we left and found them elsewhere. The positives were the staff was nice and helpful and there was always a waitress in the casino. We won't be returning to Laughlin. This was our fourth trip and it's a shorter drive to Vegas so we will just go there.

I was very unhappy that the carpet when we arrived to the room. I called to let them know and they just sent a technitian to fix the issues and the carpet remained wet. I was not offered a new room just towels to cover the wet area. The bathroom had a bad smell coming out of the sink they advised to let the hot water drain a few minutes. It was a nice hotel in the lobby but the rooms are old and need work.
